I asked after two days (30 days refund policy) for a refund for the lifetime 3TB plan and I had no response, with many attempts...
The limits on the files is too low for my usage. It is not convenient for my use.
(UPDATED) They finally reached to me and sent me a refund after I made this review and contacted my credit card to explain the context.

Don't trust them
Bought a lifetime license through a reseller and within a month the company removed features available to me initially (without telling me), took weeks to respond to my query and just pointed to their Ts&Cs stating: "We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to modify the Services (or any features or functionality of the Services) at any time without notice and without obligation or liability to you."
Wouldn't trust them at all with this attitude or approach to business.
Updating to reflect their response: the feature was available when I first purchased, and you subsequently changed your allowances with no warning or explanation. As far as terms of reseller goes it certainly did not list out what was excluded from the purchase, although I do agree that it didn't explicitly list it as part of it. I had assumed that you wouldn't discriminate against some of your customers in this way. I was wrong.

They really are bad as what you fear
The warning signs were there but I gave it a chance. Initially features didn't work but you would get responses from support "it will be fixed in the next release". Sometimes it was but it was short lived. Having purchases via stack social in April, I put up with 4 months or mediocre service. Come August, one day the backup feature doesn't work. But it's not just broken again, oh no they have removed my access and now I need to pay €400 to unlock a feature I already paid for. Customer service and consumer rights mean nothing to this company. I email their support which was ignored. I reached out to them on Reddit and they deleted my post, twice, then banned me. These are all actions of an obviously top notch company. I would avoid them at all costs, but if you want to risk it, use a credit card or PayPal as you will sooner or later rely on the charge back or buyer protection feature. This service is a complete scam, run by conartists. In addition to internxt's reply, that is a complete lie. The backup feature was mentioned on both the stack social page and the landing page on your website. In fact not only did your own code redemption site mention the backupfeature explicitly it was full of images showing the backup feature, antivirus and VPN. At no point anywhere during the whole purchase and redemption process did it make any limitationa clear. That is your failing. Stack social have, since my complaint, updated the product page to make this limitation clear. I have screenshot records and copies of correspondence which I unfortunately cannot post here. Your reply is 100% incorrect and a bold faced LIE. It only goes to reinforce my view that your product is a SCAM.

Quite serious about security and privacy
They are quite serious about security, and that's welcome. The app itself lacks a few features compared to competitors, which will improve with time I'm sure, but their lifetime plans are interesting, especially when properly discounted.

I purchased an Internxt lifetime 5TB…
I purchased an Internxt lifetime 5TB plan almost three months ago. Approximately one month into the plan, backups stopped worked. About two months into the plan, backups were still not working. When I clicked to launch the backup manually, I'd receive a message stating "Feature locked. Please upgrade your plan to use this feature."
I'm using just 408.75GB of 5TB.
I began contacting Internxt via their Hello AT Internxt Dot Com email address. At least five times, they responded with an automated message that they'd get back to me. They never have.
Today I deleted my account on Internxt and tried to recreate it. StackSocial reported that my code had already been redeemed.
StackSocial won't refund because they only have a 30 day return window.
Internxt, I'd like my $190.08 refunded.

I mostly use Linux for development, but it’s nice having a quiet watchdog in the background. Nothing intrusive, but it’s there if I need it.

Misaligned Expectations and Communication Gaps
I purchased Internxt storage via StackSocial, thinking I was getting the same 2TB lifetime plan advertised on Internxt’s own site — including features like backups.
Initially, the backup feature was available (though quite slow), but it disappeared after about two weeks. I reached out to support on July 17 and received a reply around two weeks later. The delay was disappointing, and the response left me confused.
Internxt explained they had restructured their backup system and that my plan no longer included this feature. There was no prior notice, and existing users weren’t grandfathered in — just a suggestion to buy a new plan if I wanted backup functionality again.
What added to the confusion was the way the product was marketed. The StackSocial offer promoted “€900 worth of storage for €90,” and Internxt’s own Essential plan page highlighted features like VPN, antivirus, encrypted sharing, and backup — without making it clear that these don’t apply to StackSocial buyers.
In hindsight, I should’ve looked more closely at the differences, but it still felt unclear and a bit misleading.
Update (August 6): I eventually reached out and was granted a refund (not because of this review). I appreciate the refund, though I still feel the experience — especially the communication and expectations around product features — could be improved.
Best prices and good response from team
I was confused by price and platform payments and they responded and solved it very quickly. Best prices hands down and really good feedback from the team,
RECOMENDED

limited or no functionality Desktop apps on lifetime plan, Processor overheating
Not so sure what to think.
I got a very cheap lifetime plan... well, you get what you pay for.
Very basic functions - uploading and downloading files seems to work via browser but not via App for Windows or Linux.
Problem: running Internxt on Linux using firefox or chromium - overheating processors/very high system load so I stopped uploading large folders, sadly unable to resume upload.
Desktop app does not work for Windows or Linux, in Linux seems to crash almost immediately after opening; and if I am trying to use the "sync" function it tells me to upgrade my plan! why? seems that they reduce functionality for lifetime plans - despite aggressively advertising lifetime plans. Not sure if the desktop app for lifetime plans has any function at all (apart from displaying the content of the internxt folder - which does not sync... see above)
Impression - probably ok as a very basic service on lifetime plan, maybe better functionality on subscription?
UPDATE 14 August - after receiving message from Internxt I downloaded the latest .deb file (internxt_2.4.9_amd64.deb) trying to run this, the application - like before - just crashes on opening.
I tried appimage (Internxt-2.4.9.AppImage) but would not launch despite giving relevant permissions and after creating an specific apparmor profile (am running Ubuntu 24) Internxt app opens but immediately crashes (like in a previous version) - other appimages run fine.
Have not tried Windows app yet.
I think people for loooong time have said that their Linux app doesn't work.
2nd UPDATE 19 August - I emailed hello(at)internxt.com as requested with info as to what happens - no response.
So... it seems that Linux desktop apps (both .deb version and Appimage) do NOT work, basically crash/freeze on opening.

I’ve gone from a negative review to a completely positive one, and for that reason, I’m updating my feedback today to accurately reflect the quality of service I’ve received from customer support. It’s true that there were several days without a response, but once the first reply arrived, the issue was handled quickly and in an exemplary manner. Communication was excellent, so I will continue to support them as a Spanish company striving to innovate and establish a position in the market. Currently, I’ve purchased the Ultimate plan, so I haven’t yet explored all its features, but it does give me confidence when it comes to data security.

Internxt inbox full and no one is replying 🫣
My experience so far hasn't been great. I bought the 5T lifetime plan a year ago wanting to switch away from Dropbox, but synching didn't work well and I was told improvements were in the works. So I left it and waited. A week ago I got an email stating that "We've significantly improved Internxt these past few months. We are now the first cloud storage to use post-quantum encryption, and we have released significant updates to fix past issues you faced. We also improved our product offering by creating an all-in-one privacy suite, which now includes Drive, VPN, and Antivirus. Meet, Mail, and Cleaner coming soon too!" The email promised "If you already happen to have a paid plan with us, you can migrate your old subscription to a new one in order to claim these additional features." Sounds good, right? Well, I sent an email to action this, but the email bounced stating the Internxt inbox was full... hmmm, doesn't instil much trust. Then I went over to the website and sent a message via chat, letting them know about the inbox issue. This was a week ago, and I haven't heard back from anyone. Which promted me to check online about other's experience with Internxt. The recent reviews here aren't making me feel more hopeful. I hope to hear from someone, and to see these issues resolved. I would love to have a really safe cloud storage solution.

Unreliable Service, Unresponsive Support
Bought the lifetime 5TB plan after seeing supposed improvements, but basic syncing doesn’t work. Files go missing, sync icons stay forever, and the system falsely shows everything synced. Support hasn’t responded in days.. Now I’m even getting email errors trying to contact them. Feels like wasted money.
Edit: Added one extra star since Internxt quickly issued a full refund. Thank you.

Secure, Affordable, and Improving with Time
I have been using Internxt for over a year, and I am impressed by their commitment to privacy through zero-knowledge encryption. Compared to other providers, their pricing is very competitive, making it a great value. While their support response time was initially slow, I have noticed a significant improvement lately. Backing up data is also straightforward and hassle-free. Overall, a solid and privacy-focused cloud storage option.

Not bad but very basic
If you're looking for somewhat affordable cloud storage and don't mind not being able to automatically backup your mobile, then this might be for you. You will get automatic backups for your PC/MAC but the app for that is terrible at syncing data. I tried to sync over 600GB but it only synced 8.8GB and tried to tell me that everything was up to date, so I (just my personal opinion) don't trust this. It's fine to manually upload data, it does that fairly good, not the fasted, but ok.

Having problems with Dropbox and decided to try this Internxt. I went ahead and paid for a lifetime before understanding how it works and then found out that it would not work for my purposes.I am grateful that the people who work there are kind, and helpful. Definitely recommend them for listening, trying to help, being accommodating - and standing by their guarantee.
