We started a trip trough France. We payed correctly a pass in advance for 2 persons(+64 and+66 aged). We didn't succeeded to generate a QR-code for the first trip. Lille to Coutances. I couldn't see a small tiny button in the lay-out of the app to generate the QR. It was so light coloured, it escaped my eye. Tried many times. I hoped the personel would be helpfull to us, elder people. But no, We got fined for 130€, pushed of the train as criminals who did'nt pay their tickets. Sympathetic bystanders, protested and got silenced by the railpolice. Never again, french railpasses.

There is ZERO support

There is ZERO support. ZERO. I am unable to access parts of website to plan trips because I haven't been given a 'pass cover number'. There is no support by phone or email. I've been trying for weeks. I have to forfeit the ticket money, as well as associated costs, accommodation etc and worst of all my children's travel hopes are in ruins. This has been the most upsetting and stressful experience ever. There is NO support, it is truly dreadful.

Ridiculously bad service

Ridiculously bad service. I placed an order over two weeks ago for two global tickets. I had to pay 2x €9 for registered mail. Four days later I received an email saying that the tickets have been sent, but the message does not contain a track & trace while I am told to be home. The status of my tickets cannot be tracked via my account (where this was possible with orders in the past).

First of all I want my €18 back. The agreed shipping method has not been fulfilled.

In addition, I still don't have the tickets and I'm leaving in two weeks. Customer service has not responded to any channel after 24 hours. This is the last time I will use Interrail anyway, but I would like a suitable solution for this order. And soon please.

The law of unfair trading practices

Interrail is not transparent and not playing a fair play! They seem to break the law of unfair trading practices.
Costs are much higher than they suggest. For example the train to Paris is much more expensive with interrail than without, due to bookings and reservation charges, for kids as well!. Besides they act like you can worry free go to Spain, Portugal etc. while in fact, it is misleading, a scam. Either you find out after buying the interrail ticket, or when you are in those countries yourselves, that it is not possible to use your interrail ticket to for example Sevilla. They lie that they are not liable for any damage due to their bookingsrequierments. As far as I know are these against the law, so misleading as well. They are not attached to a brancheorganisation, so if you do not want to spend a lot of time, preparing a lawsuit, your money will be gone!!!! After dealing whith there clientservice, I would be verry amazed if they do fairly respond to this review. Up till know, they have only sent half a truth information. So remember, if you miss a detail, something goes wrong due to Interrail, the damage is on you!!! Money will be gone.

brilliant

Very very helpful in helping me with a number of questions and queries when planning a trip. Probarly the quickest company to respond to emails I have ever dealt with------ very helpful in dealing with what was quite a complicated and confusing arrangement. As i havent booked yet i will be dealing with them again in the near future, and have no doubt they will be as helpful, proffessional and provide tremendous service like they did before.

Excellent customer service

Interrail customer service is the best in the whole world. Working 7/24 and always helping you like your best friend -who knows everything about the trains-. Always tells you the best option for you - which doesn't mean the most expensive option-. In simple words; they are great
