Never Again

I purchased a voucher from Groupon on 8/21/22 for a trip that was supposed to take place on 4/8/23 (for my 50th birthday). The redeeming process was quick and when I spoke to Vanessa Chen to inquire about special rooms and desires (since it was my birthday), I was told that she would make note and make sure to let the hotels know when she booked. I called Vanessa again in January just to make sure they had enough people traveling to make sure the trip would go because I read a previous review that said her trip was canceled because they didn't have 10 people going. Vanessa told me that it was too soon to tell. I called back in February and was told that I should have plane ticket information 20-30 days before departure. I looked at the website for Intertrips and the trip that I had booked said "sold out" so I thought to myself Yes! my birthday trip is going to go. However, on March 15 (2.5 weeks before departure) I got an email from Katie Whitsitt stating that they didn't have enough people for that trip and they could move me to a departure date of 4/22 instead of 4/8. I said well your site says that its sold out so why are you saying you dont have enough people? She stated that they just do that as it gets closer to the departure date (total bull crap). I said book me on the other trip then but what is to say that 2 weeks before that departure, you wont call me again and say that that trip has been canceled?? she assured me that they had the number of people needed to go and that the trip would definitely be going. Well low and behold, i got an email from her on 3/21 (6 days after reassuring me that the trip would go) that the trip has been cancelled altogether and that I could reach out to Group for a full refund. I will NEVER use them again and advise anyone booking a trip to really think before using them.

They stole my money

Horrible company! They stole my money! I purchased a trip for $1348 and was told they could not accommodate the tour because they could not get our visas back in time. Instead of offering to reschedule or refund my money, they cancelled the trip and stole my money. I called and spoke to the supposed owner, but he yelled at me and hung up on me after saying it was my fault because I didn't purchase travel insurance. Mind you, the reason I didn't get to go on the trip was because they couldn't get the visas in time. So after months of fighting, they offered $150 for a future trip! What a joke. I want my money back or the trip that I paid for. It's sad that companies get away with taking advantage of people like this. I would never recommend this company.

Hello Miss Fath, you did not ask us or pay us for your Visa services when you booked your tour. Once you asked for our help later, we found out your BF's passport was not from the USA, and was out of our service territory, thus we advise you to apply through his own country. At that time, we were not sure if he can get his visa approved on time, thus we advise you guys to purchase Travel Insurance to protect your investment. Both Groupon and InterTrips have clearly noticed that the promotion was huge-discounted and not refundable not changeable. During the whole process, our agents have been assisting you professionally and offered you many suggestions. Again, we are sorry for your experiences.
