Total Scam

Total Scam
Don't use it even if it's 'free'...which it's not f you want to use it. Unfortunately, zero stars is not an option.
I've made 10-12 calls (& counting) to try to use / exchange my home resort points. I've been told several different procedures by numerous people...and every time it changes.
Their price for the cruise was marginally less than booking directly through the cruise line. Save yourself the aggravation and hours on the phone; just spend a few hundred dollars more and deal with a reputable company.
One guy even had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to renew my membership...which doesn't expire until July!
I FIANLLY got it 'right'...or so I thought. Today, Interval calls to say my home resort didn't transfer the points...AFTER I paid the exchange fee of $200.

They Just Don't Care

1) Took 3 separate calls to get past AI trying to route my call
2) Call #4 - Finally Reached Agent #1 who asked me to hold on - then call went dead and I got the Survey Question
3) Call #5 - Reached Agent #2 who transferred me to Agent #3
who took my info and was able to provide status.

Terrible overall service starting with defective AI screening and poor phone network - Very, very frustrating to be a customer of the operation.

Complete scam

Complete scam. No soul whatsoever. Stole $449 of my hard-earned money for a valueless certificate. Won't answer calls and refuses to refund.

Not answering phone calls

Since at least mid-December 2024, when you call any of Interval's contact numbers, the system says they are experiencing system issues and hold times will be longer than normal. This then puts you into an endless loop of hold music. They simply never answer phone calls for help. Interval sucks.

I tried to deposit my week and the system would not accept it. The page says to call me resort. My resort said everything was fine on their end. I tried again. It failed. I emailed customer support at Interval. It took a day for them to get back to me and tell me to call them because they couldn't fix it. I called and they said with the delay my deposit was late and worth less. I told them it was their fault and they said it was my fault. I did my job in time. Their system was the problem and they blamed me. Horrible ethics.

Took forever to get help on line after being transferred from hotel in Vegas just to change name on reservation. And Shantel hung up on me!! Worst service and would pay anything to avoid calling or dealing with their pathetic customer service.

NOT LIKE THE OLD DAYS

NOT LIKE THE OLD DAYS! exchanging a week. The new AI generated you'll get nothing in AMERICA! Their AI technology will route to every country on the globe. It will have multiple units and availability. What's the point of paying maintenance fees, exchange fees, membership fees, and taxes. I can use that money to just take a vacation and have money left over.

I love Interval

I love Interval. It’s not perfect but it’s way better than hotels where all they do is charge fee after fee. Dont expect to book the busiest times of year in a few days notice, but if you use common sense, it’s a the best way to vacation. We just stayed at Marriott Grand vista, a beautiful resort in the heat of Orlando at $229 for the entire week. I don’t understand the negative reviews on here, in fact they must be coming from RCI employees or something because it doesn’t make any sense. Use the getaways they are the best.

Beware of Interval International certificate promotion

Interval International promotes depositing a timeshare week with them to acquire a certificate for an additional discount week. I deposited my week at World International Vacation Club and was given a certificate good through June of 2025 BUT one can only use it for a 3-month window, meaning I can only book for three months from the current date and cannot use it to book vacation further out than 3 months. Beware of this deceptive offer.

This company has got to be one of the…

This company has got to be one of the worst.

Their model is to charge extremely high exchange fees, even though I’ve given them my timeshare to exchange.

It’s impossible to get the reservation through their system. They want you to register to find a reservation online, and pay in advance just to look for something that you might get.

They should charge you when they actually match you with the reservation. I don’t want them using my $400 hoping to find something and then when they can’t find it, hoping that they refund it to me, and that they’re still in business.

They really need to make some changes. I think they are motivated by greed not customer service. All of the other bad reviews suggest the same conclusion.

Resort fees!!! Yes I would love to pay more and not have been informed

I booked a week vacation with Interval at the Westgate Vacation Villas. Today I find out that I still have to pay $29.99 daily resort fee. I wouldn’t have minded this if it would have been in the materials of surcharges because I would have known or perhaps made a different choice that didn’t involve a resort fee.
Just another rip off, customer Service at interval says they don’t show any information in their materials but there’s a very vague description of all kinds of charges that you could be subject to. Thanks again Interval and Westgate Vacation Villas for extremely poor communication and customer service.

The website is so bad is not even funny. You put a place to go and it gives you places out of the country etc. NO INVENTORY, nothing available either. Waste of time, I DO NOT RECOMMEND I spent many hours on it and still cannot get anything good. The hotel exchanges are super expensive as well. What a joke this is. I have a time share with Disney and try to use interval without any success. STAY AWAY :(

Terrible customer service

We are supposed to be receiving proceeds for the sale of our timeshare. We sent the requested paperwork two months ago and have heard nothing. We tried to call the numbers that were given. One hung up immediately. The other put me on hold for 6 hours (while I did many other things) and when I was next in line, it hung up! Efforts to get a response by email have also been unsuccessful.

Shocking company

Shocking company, have never managed to book a trip when I want to, NEVER, although have tried for the last 8 years. Sadly Marriott Vacation Club tell you to use them to con you into booking your weeks through them when it is not possible to book through Marriott Vacation Club as they oversell their weeks, another con! The people I spoke to today as per usual, refused to put me through to the escalation desk and made out that they are all customer services and the escalation desk. This company is full of unhelpful people who sound helpful but just give you a whole lot of bull and everyone tells you a different story!

It’s a joke

It’s a joke. They make it sound like you can trade your timeshare weeks easily, but it’s not. They tack on a bunch of fees, and rarely can you go when and where you want. If you can you have to jump thru a myriad of hoops. Beware!

What a joke

What a joke. I'm an Interval International member through Marriott Vacation Club. MVC talks all about your access to Interval International and the "perks" that come with that during their sales pitch. So I've been an MVC member for almost a year now and haven't been able to take advantage of Interval yet because their website NEVER works. No matter what date you select for hotel exchange, it will tell you nothing is available EVERY SINGLE TIME. So I try selecting short stay getaway.... nope. You get an error page. The only thing that works on the website is the weeklong getaways that you have to pay for. If I could give them zero stars I would.

I book three months ago and they send me an emaill one week before my stay. They say they can not give me the same room the whole week, they try to convince me that the first night will be almost in a very similar villa (of course it wasn´t true), then this reps in México didn´t help at all and they even blocked my account as they got really mad for the whole situation. I have been trying to talk to someone else, but it seems as an impossible thing! Still waiting that someone unblocks my account (It is completely paid, there is not a problem with the credit card or anything), they just blocked it because they were mean people.

Horrible

Honestly, the absolute worst in working with, wish somebody would file a class action lawsuit as they are so difficult and never offer what they claim to represent.
