I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Interview Kickstart for their incredible support and flexibility. Due to unexpected personal challenges, I was unable to finish my course and utilize the mock interviews within the original timeframe. However, the team at IK has been nothing short of amazing in understanding my situation.

Interview Kickstart course is very well organized and covers 360 degree view of the topics. They have tons of online videos which ranges from beginner to expert levels. Followed by live classes which I enjoyed the most.

The instructors will spend good amount of time to explain the basics and ready to address all your queries. The live sessions may be long for about 4-6 hours but they are worth it.

The step by step explanation were amazing and made hard level questions look easy. The course has not only helped me ready for the next role but also in my existing role.

The live timed practice questions on the platform helped a lot with real world experience.

The mock interviews are the best part. There are good number of mock interview included in the course and feedback from the interviewer really helped in real world interviews.

I started with small AI apps in this course, learning the theory and concepts along the way. Great instructors made it easier to follow through on newer libraries and an array of dbs and ui available for RAG based apps

I enrolled in the **TPM Step-Up program at Interview Kickstart (IK) in December 2024**, since I am at the end of session now I’d like to share an honest review based on my personal experience. I have around **20 years of industry experience**, and my primary goals were:
1. **To gain deeper insight into senior TPM roles** — what senior management actually does and how they handle interviews at the VP/Director level.
2. **To participate in mock interviews** with seasoned professionals and get personalized feedback.

**✅ What Worked Well for Me**
**1. Value of the Mock Interviews**
The **10+ mock interviews** included in the program are its strongest offering. These are conducted by professionals from top-tier companies (FAANG+), and you get tailored feedback that can significantly sharpen your interview readiness.
**2. Sessions by Top Instructors**
I particularly **loved the sessions by Nutan (Google TPM)** and **Sreeram (Microsoft TPM)**. Their content is insightful, well-structured, and aligned with real-world TPM challenges. If you join, **request all sessions by these two** — it’s well worth it.
**3. Responsive Support**
IK’s internal support team is surprisingly efficient. You can raise tickets on the portal and expect quick responses. I also found the mentors (e.g., Pradeep and Gaurav) to be extremely helpful in 1:1 settings — they patiently answer your questions and guide you even if their recorded sessions aren’t great.
**4. Flexibility Across Courses**
Even though I joined the TPM program, I was able to **access EM (Engineering Manager) content** upon request without any friction. The team is accommodating if you proactively ask.
**5. Career Workbook & Advisor Support**
The **career workbook** is a useful behavioral prep tool. Fill it up early and get feedback from a career advisor — it will help structure your responses better during mocks.

**❌ What Could Be Better**
**1. Peer Interaction is Almost Nonexistent**
While they offer a **Discord channel**, it's not active or useful. There's no real peer engagement, group prep, or networking — which is a big miss for a program at this price point.
**2. Poor Coverage for Senior Leadership Roles**
If you’re targeting **VP, Senior Director, or BU Head level roles**, the program lacks depth. The mock interviews and materials don’t simulate executive-level scenarios effectively. I expected more support for someone with 20+ years of experience.
**3. EM Program Content is Weak**
I wouldn’t recommend the **Engineering Manager course**. The content delivery is subpar, and sessions lack clarity and real-world depth. However, the mentors are still helpful during 1:1s.
**4. Pricing & Discounts**
I received a ₹40,000 discount labeled as a “scholarship” for early joiners, but in reality, it seems most people get it. The pricing is steep, but if you factor in the mock interviews and support, it’s somewhat justified.

**🔁 Summary & Final Verdict**
* **If you're a mid-career TPM aiming for FAANG+ roles**, IK can offer real value, especially through mock interviews and sessions by top instructors.
* **If you're looking for peer learning, community, or high-level leadership coaching**, this may not be the best choice.
* **Be proactive** — ask for the best mentors, get your career workbook reviewed early, and request access to multiple tracks if needed.
💡**Pro Tip**: Ask for **all sessions from Nutan and Sreeram upfront**, and don’t rely on Discord or peer groups — focus on mentor interactions and mocks.

Hello team,
I have been part of the IK since 2024 July. The program had to be kept on hold because of some personal schedules on my side. I'm active since Feb 2025.
I have taken one mock interview, and a series of sessions with my program co-ordinator Sneha.
The mock interview would be more productive if a real job interview is lined up. As of now, I have not been sent any job posting or option. Since I'm targeting a senior position, I wish to get some support from IK as otherwise it is hard to get through the screening via platforms like LinkedIn due to the high volume of candidates.
The course material is good and useful, but during the course of my industry stay, I have sat through a few knowledge enablements sessions.
Also, realistically, it is hard to consume so much of training material being in a high position with immense responsibility and workload ( currently Sr. Director at SAP ).
On the other hand, the interaction with Sneha has been very productive. She has immensely helped me in improving my resume, as well as provided very valuable insights on my linkedin profile.
Though I'm facing a struggle at my current work due to high workload, I'm motivated to continue my interactions with IK as these are supportive of my pursual for a new position in a different organization.
