I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO PAY OVER £400 THIS YEAR FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY USELESS TO ME. WHEN I RANG THEM NEARLY A YEAR AGO NOW IT WAS BASICALLY "HA HA TOUGH WER'E GETTING YOUR MONEY FOR THE NEXT TWELVE MONTHS!!!!"

As explained before, the 12-month minimum contract term was clearly displayed in your basket and overview pages on the website before the purchase was completed.
On 25 October 2025, two emails, “Your Order Information” and “Your Contract Information” were sent to your registered email address and were also available in your Control Panel.
Both confirmations outlined the 12-month minimum term, billing details, and the option to cancel within 30 days for a full refund under the money-back guarantee.
In addition, notifications confirming these contractual terms were available in your Control Panel.
This was not cancelled within 30 days and as explained previously, we could also see that development has already started and the website was currently live.

Unable to log in or get help before domain expiry
I cannot get past the IONOS login page despite trying several email addresses and my customer number. IONOS said my email addresses were not recognised, and live chat was temporarily unavailable when I sought help.
IONOS has now said my entire account was cancelled in 2025 at my request and that I declined a domain-only contract. However, its reminder says sofiz.uk does not expire until 4 November 2026, and I received account-related notifications in 2026. I was not notified that my access would be closed in advance of the domain expiry. Please explain when the account was closed, provide the cancellation and notice records, and explain how I was expected to manage or renew the domain while locked out.
My complaint about being unable to get help by email or webchat remains valid regardless of the account's status. My emails were rejected as coming from an unrecognised address. IONOS has offered to help set up a new domain account and quoted £12 per year including VAT; please provide practical steps urgently so I can retain the domain before expiry.

Because the account was closed, your login credentials and associated email were deactivated, which is why you can no longer access the control panel. At the time of cancellation, our team offered a domain-only contract to keep the account active, which was declined.
If you would still like to retain your domain, we can easily help you set up a new domain account. I have sent you an email with the next steps to get this started.
Regarding renewal pricing, our complete fee schedule, including domain renewals, is publicly available on our website.

I am a current customer who has an…
I am a current customer who has an ongoing complaint regarding phishing emails being constantly sent from IONOS. The emails are sent to webmail address given by IONOS. The matter has been ongoing since August 2026 and my matter has not been resolved. The emails sent to me are disguised to be as IONOS. This is very daunting considering they score extremely well on cyber security. I have called in several times with a different answer being given each time such as; you need to email, the department is busy with a backlog of complaints, call back once the complaint has reached to its dedicated team... The complaints team does not want deal with my concern as my service contract expires in January 2027, they are pushing me for as along as they can until my service end date!

We would like to clarify that the phishing emails you are receiving are not being sent by IONOS. They are sent by unauthorised third parties outside of our systems who are impersonating the IONOS brand.
Unfortunately, neither IONOS Customer Service nor our Complaints Team can prevent external third parties from sending phishing emails to your email address. As these messages originate outside of our systems, this is not something that can be resolved through the standard complaints process.
However, we do take reports of phishing and misuse of our brand seriously. Suspicious emails can be submitted to our security team, who can investigate the information provided and take action against fraudulent infrastructure where possible.
We’re sorry if this distinction was not made clear during your previous contacts with us, or if you received conflicting information about which team could assist you.
Please check your email, as we have contacted you directly with further information and the appropriate link for submitting the phishing emails to our security team.
