i tried buy domain and webhosting plus but when i was bying it had 2 payment and after that there was 3 payment what i didnt pay

three days after my credit card expired, they started sending me fines, and continued over the Christmas holidays, when I finally got at chance to update the card details, they continued fining me. Turned out their credit card system does not work in Firefox. There was no way to contact them electronically so had to call Germany, the supporter found the fines and the process perfectly just so would not refund. I think their process and attitude is unacceptable, so canceled my subscription. Other than that their system seemed to work and the supporter did pick up the phone.

I’ve been using IONOS for hosting and domain services, and overall my experience has been very good. The platform is reliable, and my website performance has been stable with minimal downtime. Their control panel is easy to use, even if you’re not very technical.

Customer support is one of their strongest points. Whenever I contacted them, the support team was polite, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. They actually take time to explain issues instead of giving rushed answers.

I have not been a customer for a day and am already frustrated with the password setup. Thankfully i am now able to log in but this was not an easy experience

I am writing to formally request a refund for a domain purchase made through IONOS that I was unable to access or use.

I successfully completed the purchase and payment for the domain. After the standard 24-hour technical processing period, I was unexpectedly logged out of my account. Since then, I have been unable to log back in.

When attempting to recover access, I am informed that:

- My credentials are incorrect, and
- No account or email address is associated with my purchase

As a result, I currently have no access to the domain, no account visibility, and no explanation for what occurred. I also did not receive any cancellation notice, refund confirmation, or account-related communication.

Given that:

- The service was paid for,
- The domain was never usable,
- Access to the account was lost through no fault of my own,

I am requesting a full refund for this purchase.

Please investigate this issue urgently and confirm one of the following:

1. Immediate restoration of access to my account and domain, or
2. A full refund to the original payment method

If needed, I can provide payment confirmation, transaction ID, and any additional details to help locate the purchase.

I expect a prompt resolution.

I was already a satisfied customer when it was called 1&1. So with IONOS my satisfaction continued. Especially the customer service is superb and competent with no long waiting times.

SCAM WARNING – Extremely Unprofessional and Dishonest

I deeply regret ever dealing with IONOS. I purchased a domain from them, and after experiencing how unhelpful and unprofessional their support was, I transferred my domain to another provider shortly after. I thought my relationship with this company was over.

One year later, without my approval or authorization, **IONOS renewed my domain and charged me — not just the normal price, but 18 TIMES more than the actual cost. This is absolutely shocking. I had no service with them, no active communication, yet they took money from my bank account without permission.

When I requested a refund literally minutes after the transaction, they rejected it, claiming that they “sent a message in their portal.” How am I supposed to know there is a message in a portal from a company I stopped using a year ago for poor service? This excuse is completely unacceptable.

This is not a mistake — this is a system designed to trap and charge customers without consent. They know exactly what they are doing. Many customers are facing the same issue, and yet there is no accountability.

Companies like this are scamming people, hiding behind weak policies, and ignoring the rights of customers. I strongly advise anyone considering IONOS: stay away — protect your money and your time.
