At the end of 2025, I received a threatening email from a large media organisation demanding over £1,000 in compensation for a photograph that a former IT adviser had uploaded to a little-visited section of my website back in 2014. The amount they were demanding felt completely disproportionate, but I didn’t have the knowledge or experience to challenge it effectively on my own.
Thankfully, I found Jason at IP Protection. From the outset, he reassured me that the claim and the sum being demanded were excessive and lacked proper legal justification. He drafted a clear, robust response on my behalf, setting out precisely why their position was flawed.
As a direct result of his expertise and guidance, the organisation dramatically reduced its demand, eventually agreeing to settle for just £96 — an outcome I was more than happy to accept. I cannot recommend this company enough and the services they provide. Excellent, thoroughly professional service from start to finish. The infringer (local branch of a national radio station) had used one of my images on Twitter and had ignored my numerous attempts to contact them. Within days of taking the case IPP had escalated the issue with their head office. Throughout the process I was kept regularly updated with progress reports and within a very short time IPP had negotiated a very acceptable settlement on my behalf.
