Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 83 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people found the products to be of low quality and frequently experienced issues with them not working correctly from the start or breaking down shortly after purchase. Customers reported problems such as devices constantly needing resetting, getting stuck, or failing to perform their core functions like cleaning effectively. The customer service was consistently described as non-existent, unhelpful, and difficult to reach, with many experiencing long wait times, unaddressed issues, and a lack of accountability. Some people were dissatisfied with the company's approach to repairs and replacements, noting that faulty products were often returned in the same condition or replaced with unsuitable models, leading to further frustration. However, a few other people also felt that some products, particularly older models, worked well and found the chat service for support to be effective, leading to quick resolutions like unit replacements.

Robot fell down stairs

Robot fell down stairs. Apparently this isn’t supposed to happen! I was told not to use it for three weeks. Then told it is fine but I can send it in if I want to? Sent it off two weeks later they return it saying it is fine. They did not think it fell down the stairs?! I wouldn’t have been in touch if it hadn’t! And there wouldn’t be damage to my wall. Such poor customer service. Would not recommend.

Absolutely disgraceful company I bought…

Absolutely disgraceful company I bought an IRobot that was within Warranty and was faulty less than 12 months old they couldn’t repair it so gave me a refurbished robot ensuring to me it was like new with 6 months warranty it failed in the 6 months warranty time and they took 5 months to sort it out to which they refused to do anything as it was now out of warranty despite me telling them it was in warranty when I sent to them they wanted £269 or nothing
Wouldn’t buy of them they are not a professional company and their products don’t stand the test of time my sister has an oufy I’ll be buying one as they are much better no quibble

Awful product. Don't buy.

Awful product. (i5)
Dumps mess by its station. Vacuums randomly - leaving multiple untouched patches on the floor.
Support is slow to respond and unhelpful.

Buy Roborock instead

If you don't need anything, contact their customer support! 2 months of back and forth, and the robot is still not working, they just keep giving you the same useless recommendation. Don't waste your time like me, buy Roborock and move on, that's what I'm doing.

Bought an i7+………..

Bought an i7+ last year, it worked for a few months, then problems started!
Now all it says it battery not detected, so having done everything they suggest, bought new battery at £60 and reboot the item, as well as done a system restore serval times it still says the same, I think it’s a software problem. But looking around quite a few people are having the same issues! For an £800 item I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere!!

Scam! Wish I read these reviews before I purchased.

Only going to echo what everyone else has said. Beyond poor customer support and customer experience overall. Jaw-dropping bad. So bad in fact I just gave up. Two and three days between emails. Complete amnesia between emails. I thought at first it was a bot but there's no way a bot could be that incompetent. Poor email etiquette. Utterly unhelpful. Asking the same question email after email. Literally sending instructions already available on the internet as the solution. Nothing is worth this hassle. Violetta, if you're reading this you are hands down the worst customer service agent I have ever dealt with, with any company. The product doesn't do what it says on the box. The customer support is as broken as the product. Just don't do it. Spend the money on a nice dyson or hire a cleaner and get some value for money.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

I ordered the irobot S9+ roomba on 15th December 2022 and it was opened on Christmas day. By the end of January 2023 (just a few days over their 30 day refund policy) the product was developing fault after fault. Firstly the motor was making a loud grinding noise and then the turbo stopped working. It was also flashing up error 26 which means the vacuum is experiencing insufficient airflow. I rang customer service and the advisor told me some debris may have got stuck in the motor? I thought this was a strange comment to make because it's a vacuum and meant to suck up debris. I explained that we recently moved into a new build house with brand new carpets, so its's not really been put to the test. The advisor told me he will organise for it to be repaired at their workshop. I wasn't too pleased with this because we had only purchased the product a few weeks earlier and when you spend £1,000 you expect it to last longer than 1 month. Anyway I went along with his advice, but 1 week later I hadn't heard anything from anyone, so I called the customer service number again and they apologised for the delay and said it was because they were really busy. Well that tells you everything if their repairs department are too busy to cope. The lady that I spoke to offered to send me a new cleaning module. This is basically part of the hoover with the motor attached. When it arrived (1 week later) I installed it, but the hoover was still flashing error 26 which means the vacuum is experiencing insufficient airflow. I called iRobot customer service again and they said they will need to send it to their repair workshop. I explained we have been without an hoover last 2 weeks, so I asked whether they will swap it instead because it was only opened a few weeks ago (25th Dec), but they declined and told me I'm just outside their 30 day period. Long story short I'm still going through their process, but I've had to go out and buy a cheaper hoover so I can at least hoover up. Please take my advice if you are thinking about buying a product from irobot don't bother and save your money. You will regret it if you do. The idea is good, but their products are no where near finished. The amount of error codes these things flash up is scary and I now feel I've wasted £1,000. Stick with Dysons or Shark hoovers which are more reliable and you get a better after sales experience.

Shockingly bad experience Whilst living in the US I spent $1500…

Whilst living in the US I spent $1500 on an S9+ irobot and it worked very well in our New York apartment. 9 month after the purchase we had to move back to the UK and a lot of our US appliances would not work on UK voltage. Amazing when we contacted Dyson they confirm our appliance would not work so sent a UK version the next day and exchanged our unit completely free of charge…AMAZING.
Irobot however we’re much less helpful, I was told that I could not purchase a UK base station in the UK and I should either buy a complete new unit or check EBAY to find a second hand charge, or try and sell my US machine, all of which would have cost me over £400. The “can’t help, don’t care” approach to customer was just shocking for such a great product. In the end I spent £500 on a second hand base station as it was cheaper than throwing away my investment, but this is honestly the worst customer experience of all of the suppliers I contacted. Love the product, hate the service, just shocking

iRobot 700 - working well after 7 years

Realised I haven't reviewed my iRobot product before now when a reminder came up on my phone as to how long we have had it.

We have an iRobot 700 series for 7 years now and it is still going strong! Changed the brushes and heads a couple of times but despite not doing it as regularly as recommended it still works really well, as it did when new.

Just ordered the handheld accompaniment so fingers crossed that has the same lifespan!

Great product awful customer service.

Great product awful customer service.
Tried to be accessories for our iRobot and the website wouldn’t let me. Spoke to customer services and after a long delay in getting a response they want screenshots and lots of information. I understand that they want to find out what’s going wrong but i still don’t have a way to buy accessories to keep my iRobot working. Absolutely useless

Not fit for purpose

Purchased i7 a few years ago. Worked well for approx 2 mths. Then began a long exhausting series of issues, wouldn’t charge on base station then wouldn’t dock on base station. Base station was replaced. Error after error requiring manual intervention on a standard cleaning run which totally defeats the purpose of the robot if you have to attend to it each time. All issues were reported to IRobot, customer service non existent and extremely unhelpful. Very expensive to run and maintain, replacement filters, brushes & side brushes. Side brushes have left irreparable scuff marks on my newly fitted £30k kitchen plinths and have scuffed all other skirting boards which now need re painting. The robot has docking issues again and I now have error message 5 which is a replacement battery at £59!! Would not recommend at least until these basic issues are resolved. Not fit for purpose.

This is my worst purchase whatsoever!!

This is my worst purchase whatsoever!!!
Please bear in mind that there if anything goes wrong with your hoover nobody cares.
I am not only one person with the same issue. Please read their reviews with customer care and how they deal with it once something goes wrong. There are plenty of stories similar to mine over the Internet. Please do your research before you get stuck like I did .
Since I purchased mine, soon after that lots of faults came up.
I spend multiple hours, countless complaints to irobot. All they do is to ask me to provide pictures and than make excuses.
My hoover developed multiple issues from software to hardware. Soon after one month of use I had such trouble with it that I use to call everyday to their customer care just to be told that they will start investigation. Their staff members Alex and Boris use to listen to me almost begging for assistance. But no luck.
It went beyond limits of my patience.
After spending £799 on hoover I was unable to use .
I was exhausted of complaining but they all just seems to delay and even with all the evidence that the hoover isn't working they seemed to ignore and reply that cannot do anything about it. I was shocked that didn't respect any warranty or right as customer that I should have.
I want to take this matter to court as they are breaching any right of sales of good act. I do have all the evidence and correspondence.
Hoover till today get stuck, bangs the walls, scratch floor as one of the screw came loose, is unable to empty into dust station. Lots and lots... that's not something that that you would expect from such well known company. Please don't repeat my mistake.

Poor quality, don't buy!

Initially my IRobot brava jet was a godsend, vacuuming and mopping whilst I was at work. However, it is now 4 months old and is literally falling apart! The poor quality plastic lid and hinges have cracked, the charge connector was not able to withstand the robot going back on and have sunk. The final straw was , when I turned the robot over to clean it the lid of the control panel just fell off! Bad quality product that struggles to mop a large kitchen floor. Customer services are refusing a refund! Don't waste your money!

Never trust this brand!!!!!

Never trust this brand!!!!!
Honestly if I could I would give ZERO stars! This is ridiculous that I have been told that they will repair my robot within 10 days - I have sent it on 24th May 2022 and still waiting for it to be repaired? Or they lost it! I have read previous feedback and seems like I’m not alone in this island! Guys please do not waste your time and claim your money back. Please contact the ombudsman! And ask for the advice!

OK. Has niggles, but customer service is lacking

I bought an irobot s9+ when living in the US. I thought it was great there, though it has a few niggles such as putting random non-existent rooms on the map. It is also expensive to maintain with new filters and bin bags.

The real problem is that I unexpectedly returned to the UK. I plugged both the s9 and the brava jet in and they both worked without a transformer! Great! However, the clean base won't empty automatically anymore. I have spent ages on customer service and finally thought I would agree to a paid repair (the warranty apparently doesn't work across countries), but then I got an email telling me "tough - contact the US".

So, I second the view that the UK charges way too much compared to the US and also that customer service is lacking.

Good product but total rip off in uk

I bought the i7 vacuum robot and it was amazing so figures I'd buy the m6 mop to go with it. The M6 is a resonable product but no where near as good as its hyped to be.
My bigest issue is they seem to be taking the UK and Europe for fools! I though it bizarre I couldn't access the US version of the site which has a load of reviews. A friend with a vpn showed me and then it became obvious why. A robot sold for £700 in UK retails for just over £300 their!!!!
So to summarise, good product, not great but buy from an importer who will sell you a us model for about 400!!!
