I had made an order November last year. It was pushed back 3 times until I canceled my order.
The customer service is generally very bad, and you get mostly AI response.
I ad a second order with took2 month to get. The beer was over the BBE date. I think as not told that. But they made the cleam, that it was in the site but is was not.
This is very bad for the iron maiden brand.
I ordered Trooper Beer this summer via the official EU shop. According to the distributor, the package was shipped – but DHL confirmed it was never handed over.
After opening a PayPal case, I received a threatening email.
Since then, I’ve seen multiple reports of similar experiences. The blame is always placed on the courier – which seems to be a recurring pattern.
Very disappointing for a brand that usually stands for quality and strong fan engagement.
Update:
The situation and all supporting details are fully documented through PayPal and prior communication.
I trust this information is sufficient for internal review.
Update 28.1.26 / clarification:
This update exists solely because it was requested by the company at this stage in relation to the refund. The amount was refunded after PayPal ruled in my favor.
It does not address — nor does it change — the way the case was handled, including communication, blame-shifting, and the overall complaint process, which remains the core reason for this review.

I bought some beer on September 20th. After two weeks with no shipping updates, I contacted customer service. They said they were having issues with the courier but would ship it the following week.
Two more weeks went by with no updates, so I contacted customer service again on October 15th. They told me I would soon receive a tracking code from DHL. I finally got the tracking code on October 23rd, and after a few more days of silence, I finally received the order today — November 4th.
When I opened the package, I found that the beers were past their expiration date.
I contacted customer service again and was very surprised by their unprofessional response. They told me that the beer “should be safe to consume.” (Seriously?)
Here’s their full reply:
"Hello,
Thank you for reaching out regarding your delayed beer order. I want to clarify that you purchased the beer at a discount, and while it has a "best before" date, beer does not technically expire or go bad. The quality may change slightly over time, but it should still be safe to consume.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know."
First of all, at least in my country, “discounted” does not mean “close to expiration.” Discounted means discounted. It’s standard practice to clearly mention if a product is near or past its best-before date when that’s the reason for the discount.
Second, I bought this beer because I enjoy its taste and quality, not simply because it’s “safe to drink.”
My order from ironmaidenbeer.eu (Universal Marketing EU) eventually arrived and the products were correct.
However, the delivery took several weeks, and most replies I received were automated.
After I opened a PayPal dispute due to the long delay, I even received an email threatening me with “criminal fraud charges” if I didn’t cancel the case , which was completely unacceptable.
The order was finally delivered, but I would strongly advise the company to improve both their communication and professionalism.

Very long shipping, customer service that doesn't meet the requests. they are very good at displaying promotions but do not put any energy into satisfying their customers!!
Mailing address not found. It is impossible to get your money back once the order has been placed.

Ho effettuato due ordini i primi di aprile 2024, il primo comprendeva prodotti non in stock, per i quali era prevista la consegna a fine maggio.
Ai primi di giugno ho scritto per avere notizie.
Mi è stato risposto, con poca cortesia che, trattandosi di un pre-ordine, i prodotti non erano pronti e che sarebbero stati disponibili a fine giugno. Ai primi di luglio li ho ricontattati: la risposta è stata che nell'azienda lavorano persone e non robot, e quindi l'imballaggio e la spedizione avrebbero richiesto altri 15/20 gg di attesa.
Ho ricevuto il pacco il 22 di luglio.
Il prelievo sulla mia carta di credito è stato effettuato a aprile: 3 mesi di attesa per ricevere 4 confezioni di birra e 2 bicchieri.
Nel frattempo, sempre a aprile, ho effettuato un secondo ordine, questa volta di prodotti in stock, quindi già in magazzino. Un box di birre miste e una stout in confezione regalo.
Dopo un mese di attesa e dopo aver richiesto anche questa volta informazioni, ai primi di giugno è arrivato l'ordine: 2 stout e nessun box di birre. Probabilmente al momento dell'ordine il secondo prodotto sicuramente è terminato ma nel frattempo la disponibilità sul sito non è stata aggiornata.
L'assistenza dice di avermi inviato una mail qualche settimana prima di ricevere l'ordine per avvisarmi, ma sinceramente non ho ricevuto alcuna mail.
In definitiva:
- paghi gli ordini subito, i tuo soldi vengono prelevati all'istante.
- i prodotti in pre-ordine arrivano dopo 3 mesi.
- i prodotti in stock non è detto che siano disponibili quando vengono ordinati perché il sito non è aggiornato, quindi si rischia di ricevere qualcosa che non si desidera.
Non è una bella immagine per il gruppo.
Veramente deludente.
Consiglierei di migliorare sia l'aspetto della produzione sia quello della distribuzione.

Terrible service.
I placed two orders in early April 2024, the first included products not in stock, for which delivery was scheduled for the end of May.
At the beginning of June I wrote to get news.
I was answered, with little courtesy, that since it was a pre-order, the products were not ready and that they would be available at the end of June. At the beginning of July I contacted them again: the answer was that people and not robots work in the company, and therefore packaging and shipping would have required another 15/20 days of waiting.
I received the package on July 22nd.
The withdrawal on my credit card was made in April: 3 months of waiting to receive 4 packs of beer and 2 glasses.
In the meantime, again in April, I placed a second order, this time for products in stock. A box of mixed beers and a stout in a gift box.
After a month of waiting and after requesting information this time too, the order arrived in early June: 2 stouts and no box of beers. The second product was probably sold out at the time of the order but in the meantime the availability on the website had not been updated.
Support says they sent me an email a few weeks before receiving the order to notify me, but honestly I haven't received any email.
Definitely:
- pay for orders immediately, your money is withdrawn instantly.
- pre-order products arrive after 3 months.
- products in stock are not guaranteed to be available when ordered because the site is not updated, so you risk receiving something you don't want.
It's not a good look for the group.
Really disappointing.
I would recommend improving both the production and distribution aspects.
