Charged a $100 diagnostic fee and given…

Charged a $100 diagnostic fee and given a completely fabricated repair estimate claiming the woofer and two tweeters were bad, when the parts were completely fine. Refused the service, paid the diagnostic fee, and retrieved the gear to avoid false parts fraud.

Mark,
Let’s skip the standard, automated corporate reply where you pretend you don’t know who I am, claim my account isn't in your system, or insist this is a "fake review"

I am the exact customer who brought the high-end, low-impedance 4-ohm Canton speakers into your shop. I am the customer whose gear your father instantly flagged by impedance right at the front counter the moment we walked in.
Your little bait-and-switch demonstration completely backfired. When you pulled out my original factory woofer and popped a cheap test driver into the cabinet to show me it could play audio, you thought you were forcing a sale. Instead, you inadvertently proved to me that my internal crossover board, cabinet wiring, and total signal path were completely intact.
The real issue with my equipment wasn't a dead woofer or two blown tweeters, as you fraudulently claimed on your estimate. The true cause was a loose factory internal spade connector clip. It required exactly zero dollars in parts and sixty seconds of actual technician bench time to crimp tight with a pair of pliers. Instead of being an honest local business owner, you chose to invent a massive hardware failure to pad your pocket.
You even had the audacity to claim my perfectly functional reference speaker—the one I brought in purely for testing baseline comparison—was magically broken too. You simply hoped I wouldn't understand low-impedance German audio engineering well enough to spot a predatory repair racket.
I gladly paid your $100 "diagnostic fee" just to get my physical gear out of your custody before my authentic factory drivers could be harvested or swapped with generic junk. My original components are back home, tightened up, and playing beautifully.
Consider that $100 a donation to your bottom line, and consider this review a highly detailed public warning to the Long Island audio community to double-check your "diagnostics"
