Visited this company to purchase new…

Visited this company to purchase new equipment, we were unable to reach anyone on the phone for about 2 weeks until a very lovely lady tried on a few occasions to get me through to get the right department. I wanted to accept their quote however when I did get through and i was told to email them but have never received a response.

What a terrible company.

What a terrible company, we purchased a used commercial fridge, they told us it would take ten days to deliver as it needed servicing and the gas charging, more on this in a minute. They delivered it and left it on the pavement, no help getting it in, we let it stand a day then plugged it in - no problem - 1am all the FIRE alarms went off, I ran into the store room and smoke was pouring out the top, it was almost a serious disaster. They sent an engineer next day, even though we asked them to take it away, (it smelled of burned plastic) meanwhile I had looked in the top and the transformer was incorrectly fitted (the mounting brackets were broken) and it was filthy, the heat exchanger was disgusting. The engineer told me you couldn’t clean them as it could lead to long term damage (a complete lie) he then said that they are never re-gassed, someone at the shop had given us false info. We asked for the servicing certificate, he said he didn’t do it and the guy that did had left, so we could not have one. They took it away and three days later told us it was fixed, we asked if they could send a few guys to help us move and install it safely, they refused and sent one guy who was told to leave it on the pavement, we asked for the new servicing certificate and were told there wasn’t one, I believe this is a legal requirement and fridge engineers have to be registered. We refused the delivery and are awaiting a refund. Shocked, this thing nearly burned our hotel down, and this is how they respond. Surely any company that sells second hand electrical goods must certificate it as fit for use, there wasn’t even a PAT test label on it.
