A very wide berth needed

We rang to request a viewing on a property. Boy, was the telephone manner disgusting! We are both 73 years of age, never missed one rent payment but before we even spoke about the property, straight in to "what's your pension, government guidelines say you've got be bringing in £34000 or you will need a guarantor! At 73, with excellent credit and rent payment? Oh no we won't. On voicing our disgust at the manner in which we were spoken to, all we got back was "yeh, I know how you feel" . No they don't. You don't get to our age by being stupid so to be spoken to like we were was a no no. We emailed the"top man" but of course have received no reply. Needless to say, we would rather live in a tent than rent through these people

It's a shame they can't be given zero stars

A truely awful letting agents. Left me without a shower and only able to use a small amount of water in the bottom of a bath for 3 months. Property was extremely dirty upon check in. Left for 3 days without the use of a toilet. Maintenance issues took an age to sort and some were just never sorted. Resorted to fixing some of them myself. Communication is awful. Will definitely be avoiding Island Lettings in the future.

The best agents I have ever encounterd- superb and easy to deal with

How great to be able to write a positive review about a terrific, well run and superbly staffed company.

We are long term, experienced landlords and currently have three agents in different areas (not the I of W)

We have used other island agents and have been renovating, selling and letting property on the Island for decades.

The great thing about Island Lettings is that they have really first rate staff, all in one office but with clearly defined jobs.

You can call and immediately get through to maintenance, tenant renewal or whatever. Believe me, with many agents it isn't like this.

One I am currently suffering on the mainland is a much bigger company but runs from so many offices the staff have little idea what is going on and keep asking me questions I have already answered. They waste a lot of my time.

Island Lettings are streets ahead of every other agent we have ever used.

Their communications with landlords and tenants are top class- you get replies very quickly. They also have good contacts with contractors and spring into action if needed.

Thank you Mark Burton, Managing Director, and your fine team. Ever thought about setting up on the mainland? In many areas there's not much to beat.

As someone who aims to be first class in all I do I appreciate professionalism.Island Lettings have it!
