ISYT's 10-week Yoruba course is the real deal. Each class is informative, covering new vocabulary and grammar that is immediately used in practice during the lesson. Eniola's immersive style of teaching encourages you to really dive into the context of the language, which could be lost in translation. Her extensive knowledge also covers Yoruba culture as well, giving insights into how the language is used day-to-day. It's amazing to think how much was learned over the 10 weeks. I went from knowing only how to greet to now having the tools to converse with my grandmother and surprise my mother, who are both Yoruba! I'm grateful to have been able to experience my first Yoruba steps through this opportunity.

I very much enjoyed taking this Yoruba class. I came in with zero experience hearing, reading, or speaking this language and I was still able to take away so much from it. I have a strong foundation upon which I can continue to build up my skills. I wish the class was longer, I would take it again and again!

Eniola has a great style of teaching. She is so patient with the students. I married into a Yoruba family and had very little understanding of the language. I didn’t speak it at all. After 10 weeks I’ve learned so much. I’ve been speaking more with my husband and I know I have the tools to be fluent. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn Yoruba language.

She is such a patient Yoruba teacher that really knows what she's doing. Over the course of my 10 week class, I have gone from never speaking Yoruba (grew up hearing it from parents so I could understand, but could never speak it) to speaking it with my family on a weekly basis. In 10 weeks she covered a good amount of the basics that any new Yoruba learner will find very very helpful!
