Green laning

Isuzu actively promotes Greenlaning, There is no such legal entity called a green lane ( they mean an unmetalled BOAT) by not emphasizing this Isuzu is being irresponsible and encouraging drivers messing up the country side just for their pleasure.

Rip off servicing costs and rip off dealerships

I have had several Isuzu dmax pickups over the years, I currently own 2. Their has been a massive increase of servicing costs over the last few years and now they pulling their customers' pants down if they remain loyal to the brand and dealerships. I recently took one of my dmax's for a service to Pentraeth Motors, and they charged me £ 600 for a service, which I felt was a complete rip-off, considering they advertise the same service for £299 on their website. When I queried it, they justified the cost by stating that, as my vehicle is still in warranty, it is not eligible for the special price, as this is for out-of-warranty vehicles. i.e., if you are servicing it with them and it's still under warranty, they will take advantage of you. In addition, the invoice stated that they had put 6L of AdBlue in the vehicle. As I drove it back from the service, the AdBlue light came on (it wasn't on when I dropped it off). I inquired about this and was told that the service manager would contact me about it. I had to call several times and eventually managed to speak to the Service Manager after some 7 weeks of trying. He admitted the fault with the charge for Adblue and promised a refund. I am yet to receive the refund after two weeks. When discussing the servicing costs they told me that the deal for the out of warranty service is led by Isuzu UK and it is to promote loyalty to the brand, this is a massive own goal, as I for one, will not buy another Isuzu or service it through a dealer due overly expensive and unjustifiable servicing costs.

Poor Service Stoneacre

Our vehicle Isuzu D Max is with Stoneacre garage since April (2 months now) and we still don't have date on when it's going to be finished. No updates from service. Asked for similar replacement motor, but been told it's not available.
Collected motor after repairs and after few miles of driving it it went into limp mode. Poor service quality or incompetence

Hi I have a 2019 plate dmax

Hi I have a 2019 plate dmax. Its ok. Seems reliable and is satisfactory to drive. Carries what I need.

Problems are that at 2000 revs it stutters on hills. The dealership Madely Heath Motors took a less than helpful approach describing it as "a characteristic of the vehicle" Its one they didn't describe before I paid for it.

After about 6 weeks of ownership a vehicle recall notice came through. The recall required a "suspension upgrade". Having completed this (it consists of fixing spring assisters, hardly an upgrade) the vehicle drives like a solid axel cart. Even minor deviations in the road surface results in a loud bang and a very uncomfortable ride.

I paid 20000 plus vat. My mates Hilux was 20500 plus vat. Its a much much better vehicle in every way.

So summarising. Nothing to really complain about... it works it carries stuff around. Would I buy again? NO

Copama in Panama Deceptive Practice

Hello guys , I’m writing about Izusu in Santiago , Panama , I had walking into the dealership about to weeks ago and I was inquired about 2 or 3 vehicles and I was given the price for vehicles as described , 2025 Dmax 4 Door fully loaded sold at 43k , Also I was giving the price on 2024 Dmax fully loaded at 39k , both prices were out the door prices and both trucks had came with differential lock , so I approached the dealership via phone 2 days later and the guys submitted the details needed to the bank for an approval , maybe an hour later the sales guy called and said that the prices on the 2024 was incorrect and that 41k was the new price and that the deal was approved and gave me the payments options and rate’s I was offered ..
so I declined this changed of price and will not give this people as car sales persons a good review at all , this is called deceptive practice and should not be tolerated .. I will keep letting the world know about people like this none stop .

The buses are awful

The grand toro buses built by isuzu are the worst vehicles ive ever driven.

The gearboxes feel like theyre made of cheese.

The demisters are on a timer that you can not over ride even if the screen is so misted you cant see the road.

The amplifiers dont work

They are cheap and nasty. Buy a yutong instead.

Isuzu D max parts problems

Bought a new Isuzu D max V cross September 2003. Sun visor, after two uses, now hangs down under own weight. Had to tie up with string. New one asked for at dealership 6 weeks ago. No contact since. Getting hold of parts seems to be a real problem

Window mechanism broke on my D-max

Window mechanism broke on my D-max, 2 year old, still under warranty. Garage advised 7 weeks wait for Isuzu part. With a window half open, the garage can't jam up. Hopeless, can't use it as works vehicle.
No offer of courtesy vehicle from garage, can't get to speak to anyone at Isuzu.
Also... attempted to change wheel the other week, jack doesn't even reach the bottom of the truck when fully extended. Need to carry a chunk of railway sleeper with me now, just incase.

Best customer care experience with Michelle Hicks

Bought an Isuzu grafter last year which was one of the best decisions ever, total workhorse. Had it a year and everything runs perfectly.
I took it for its first service at the Cordwallis Group Dealer in Reading and everything seemed fine until I broke down an hour after leaving them on my way home. They had cross-threaded the fuel filter housing which was letting air into the system which in turn, meant the truck wouldn't start. The emergency breakdown care team were great and sent out technicians from the Burgess Hill dealer who were also fantastic, to help us out at the roadside. The filter was leaking out diesel and unfortunately, the issue couldn't be fixed without a new part.
Cordwallis agreed to pay for the part and to have Burgess Hill fit it, however, they washed their hands of us after that. Ordering a new part from Belgium (this was the closest option) meant that it would arrive 6 days later; we were despairing because without the truck (our only one as we're a small business) we wouldn't be able to work and would lose a lot of money. On explaining this to the Cordwallis team, firstly they didn't even apologise and then refused any kind of help or compensation and even insinuated that we had damaged the truck. I was pulling my hair out at this stage and didn't know where to turn. I somehow managed to get through to Michelle Hicks of the Isuzu Customer Care Team who was an absolute angel and did her utmost to help improve the horrible situation. She liaised with both dealers and succeded in organising that Cordwallis would receive the new part from Belgium and in the meantime send the same part (that they had access to from a brand new truck not in use) to Burgess Hill who would then come back out to the truck to fit it. Michelle's help meant that the grafter was only out of action for 2 days rather than a week and for all her efforts we are SO grateful; she was extremely kind, caring and friendly, understood our frustration and nothing was too much trouble. The best customer care experience I've ever received!

Total joke

Total joke . If you have a new car please don’t break down . The Isuzu assist ain’t no good because they don’t have the technology to check anything they just leave you . They use the AA then a call centre spokes person has the front to say my car can’t be used after a patrol man said no fault found . Stay away from Isuzu if you do any mileage after all I have only do 2000 miles in mine . Total joke service . Not that Isuzu or the AA care . Just about the money

Appalling Isuzu experience poor practice

Head gasket leaking at 35k miles continually took back to dealership at Tredington who laughed and said it was diff issue. Complained to Isuzu response use another dealer. Took it to another dealer who could not see a leak until threatened with RAC and suddenly found it. Had it 3 months replace gasket finally got it back drove 5 miles and bang. Apparently Isuzu had sent dealer wrong gasket. Had it another 2 months replaced gasket 3rd time blown again 10k miles more. Not interested and won't respond so written to Isuzu. Couldnt be less unhelpful and stated the below
Please note that whilst it may be termed ‘best practice’ to replace the valve stem oil seals when replacing a head gasket, the manufacturer does not actually confirm that these particular seals should be replaced.
6 years 80k 4 head gaskets and sat on drive worthless. Clear from their response they are fully aware of poor practice

I contacted ISUZU about the Rear Leaf…

I contacted ISUZU about the Rear Leaf Springs on my new D Max 1.9 once they had fitted a new towing bar I said at the time its to low to the ground (no weight in the back at this time) I left. When I got home I put a 16ft 3.5 ton trailer on the back with a 1.8 ton digger on the trailer giving a total of 2.8 ton. Well it went to the bump stops and stayed there. I then had to go and by a new set of 18 inch tyres and rims and a lifting plate for the tow bar, this raised it by 2.5 inches just enough. Thinking this was it, about a month later I noticed that they are bending down, not having the bend going upwards with no load in the back. (1.1 ton listed) and (3.5 ton on a trailer listed) not at the same time. I got in contact with the Isuzu dealer and they sent the complaint to Isuzu they said that the bump stops are part of the suspension and its within their specification of the springs and also it had a full tank of fuel in the tank, this make it sit down on the springs apparently
according to them.
It now sits 2.5 inches lower on the springs now compered to a new one that's had nothing in the back
from new. Mine is now 4 months old and 6000 miles on the clock and the springs are shot...
IT NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE and cannot do the job!
