Fashion productions are always a nightmare: delays, products different from those expected, imperfections. When I purchased the Italian Artisan plan I was a bit hesitant, because it seemed like a sum that would be added to the production costs. I must say that I changed my mind: incredible support, punctuality, perfect products, it was worth it!

I’ve been trying to break into the Made in Italy market for years, but I always ran into the same problems: very few alternatives online, the unresponsiveness of the few labs I could find, and, most frustratingly, the complete lack of communication from the manufacturers I eventually worked with.

Then I found Italian Artisan, and they were a total game changer. At first, I was hesitant to pay for an outsourced project manager to handle my production, but honestly, these guys have cracked the code. They've made it possible for even non-Italian brands like mine to successfully produce in Italy.

The staff was incredibly professional, and my project manager, Michela, made the entire process smooth and efficient. Most importantly, it freed up my time to focus on enhancing my marketing strategy, as I no longer had to chase unreliable producers for updates.

As an American brand, I struggled for years dealing with unreliable and overpromising agents while trying to manufacture in Italy. When I found Italian Artisan, I was a little shocked by how brutally honest and transparent they were – for a moment, I even thought they were trying their best not to take me on as a client. Boy, was I wrong. It wasn’t until we started working together that I realized just how unrealistic my expectations were about producing in Italy.

It’s easy to think that producing in Asia is as challenging as it gets due to language barriers and unclear, sketchy processes, but stepping up the quality with Italian manufacturing comes with a whole new set of hurdles. If I had tried to tackle this on my own, I would have either spent myself out of business or given up on Italian partners altogether.

Thanks to Italian Artisan, the entire production process was executed smoothly, and every step was clearly and transparently presented to me, giving me the peace of mind to invest in my first Made in Italy collection.

Now, I’m already about to start my second collection and can’t wait to see what’s next!

Launched My First Knitwear Line – A Delightful Experience

I reached out to Italian Artisan about six months ago to kickstart my first knitwear collection. Coming from a fashion background helped, but I was pretty new to the whole production side of things.

The process was surprisingly smooth. There was a small issue once when a yarn shade didn’t quite match what I had in mind, but the team was quick to address it, ensuring everything was perfect.

From my experience, I can genuinely recommend Italian Artisan if you're looking to bring your knitwear designs to life with ease and expertise.

After years of headaches with unreliable manufacturers, finding Italian Artisan has been a game-changer. My earlier experiences in the market were a real struggle. I first tried to find Italian manufacturers on my own, only to be misled with poor quality and high prices. Then, I worked with several so-called "professionals" whose manufacturers connections were limited and seemed only interested in making money off each other. The quality was inconsistent, timelines were a mess, not to mention the nonexistent communication... It all left me completely fed up.

Italian Artisan has changed everything for the better! They've transformed the production process into a seamless experience, handling everything from tech packs to finished garments with expertise. For the first time, I feel like I have a trustworthy partner by my side.

We're now in our second year together and already working on our third collection. I couldn’t be happier with how things are going, and I’m really excited about what’s next!

I made 3 tech packs, and the team was super quick and spot on. Then I moved on to prototyping and production. Michela, the account manager who handled my project, was super reliable and always quick to get back to me. The whole production went off without a hitch. I’m Italian, but I live in Belgium, and I didn’t even have to go back to Italy because everything was so efficient. The collection also sold really well!

I got in touch with Italian Artisan 5–6 months ago because I wanted to bring to life my first bag collection—but I needed some assistance because, even though I come from the fashion world, production is still something I'm not 100% familiar with.

I didn’t have a single problem, to be honest—only a couple of times I had to send a bunch of follow-ups, but nothing really problematic.

The reason why I’m leaving this review is that I started my journey with Italian Artisan without doing a proper quality check. Then I saw the negative reviews here—while I was in the middle of the process—and I got kind of anxious that I had made a mistake.

But everything turned out well.

So, I personally recommend them.

I started a small shoe brand, and for the first couple of years, one of my biggest headaches was finding a reliable manufacturer. Then I found Italian Artisan, and it’s been such a great experience. From Belgium, where I live, I can keep track of the whole production without having to go back to Italy every time, thanks to the awesome support from the team. The production’s always on time, and the quality is top-notch. They even helped me out with developing my new collection and the tech packs!

I’ve read the reviews here and felt compelled to add my experience as well because people should be informed. First, we signed on to eval suppliers in region. We paid for that service and we selected a provider. We then had the option to pay for their local PM support or manage ourselves. We are experts in global management yet opted to support them and pay what was a nominal fee for us. We experienced PM attrition within weeks, were not informed of their departure, things were left and lost in transition—we were never informed the PM left. We showed up in region to pick up samples that were not as expected and their oversight was poor at best. When we noted we’d be taking back PM, they not only pointed to some terms in a platform which is not legally binding, they threatened the supplier with legal action. Really!? What are you going to do, stop us from working together. I suspect they are padding their budgets too. I’d personally never use them again. Beware my friends . Do your own research but believe me—I lead $1B projects annually and these guys are amateurs at best.

The company set up is completely fraudulent. They charge a very high price and make promises of high quality delivery and step by step involvement in the production process.
However, they do not deliver on their promises. The communication is appalling. They keep taking money from your account while not delivering anything.
For me working with Italian Artisan has been a very costly mistake.

Produced by first shoe collection in the best way possible

Poor work produced, they couldn’t even spell and write properly in the report. They refused to change what we wanted from them, the Audacity.

The first point of contact Aashna, was trying hard( she failed) not too laugh on the phone when one of our designers was speaking to her, perhaps she was ridiculing our brand or ideas but our designer was embarrassed . She even guffawed at one of our designers during a meeting, our designer felt she was prejudice and bigoted. So he opted for her to no longer be in team meetings.

They ( Ghiwa) lied to us saying that they could the work asked from them and then double down, then lied and said yes and then U- turned again…all in all they wasted our time and money.

They overcharged us for the service given also.

We will never work with them again, we also noticed prejudice indirect discrimination from the factory they wanted to pair us with, when she reacted in a way which was telling of it during a team
Meeting. No suprise we opted to not work with her also.

We got an impression of because we are Italians we are Better than you, and this arrogance left us no choice of focusing our work in the Uk.
