I am writing to share my serious…

I am writing to share my serious concerns regarding my recent rental experience with your company. Unfortunately, the process fell far below expectations and was both misleading and frustrating.

At the time of booking, it was clearly stated that vehicle pick-up would be at Pearson Airport. In reality, your office was not located at the airport, which forced me to take multiple trains and then wait for a shuttle just to reach the actual location. This caused significant inconvenience after a long flight.

In addition, I encountered several hidden charges that were never disclosed during booking. I was pressured to purchase additional insurance despite already having valid coverage. The car provided was not the model I reserved, it was not clean, and the fuel tank was nearly empty upon pick-up.

This level of service does not align with what was promised or advertised. I would like to request a clear explanation of why these issues occurred, and what steps your company will take to prevent similar experiences for future customers. I also expect a fair form of compensation given the extent of the inconvenience.

Pathetic service

Pathetic service. They gave me a car with tyre pressure 48 PSI. I said that I need to return this car. It’s not safe for me to drive. They said we can’t do nothing about it. If you want to drive drive otherwise, just keep the car hanging, and we will sue you. charged me $100 for no reason on my credit card. Now I am trying to call them and email them. They are not replying to my calls. This is the way they treat the customers by charging you extra so that you can’t do nothing. The staff over there does not know how to speak.

Worst company ever!!!

Worst company ever! It is literally run by scammers. On April 15,2024 I rented a kia Rio that was basically in a bad shape. My initial booking was for a compact car but they downgraded me to a subcompact saying it was similar to my booking. When I returned the car, there was a small scratch to the front bumper. I spoke with Natalie who told me that we can claim this through my credit card. She asked me to pay $1500 out of pocket and she promised me she will send all required documents within two weeks. I made the payment and I started an insurance claim with my credit company but had to wait for the repair estimate and invoice to be sent by Investa car rental. I have sent them several emails, made phone calls and even paid a visit to the office to get needed documents. No response whatsoever. I then realized that they planned to simply pocket the money and make no repairs to the car that was in a terrible shape already. I spoke with my credit card company and insurance company to explain the situation. They promised me to help me and and contact them directly. Yesterday, I received an email from Natalie from Investa requesting another payment of $1200 for the so-called fictitious repair. She also accused me of not cooperating with my insurance company, knowing that she is the one who did not send any documents or even replied to emails. She is now threatening me to report my case to the collection agency! Not only they tried to scam me but also dared to threaten me. Listen guys, don't be fooled by their low price, because you will get in return a low service, car in a bad shape, and even worse than that: dealing with scammers! Avoid at all cost!!!!

Very frustrating experience. We booked through Travelocity and…

We booked a car through Travelocity and paid for the car and the extra liability insurance at that time. Upon arriving at Pearson Airport, you had to walk to an area which was not clear for their shuttle. After searching for it and coming across signage,( fortunately) we went to the shuttle area to call for a pick up. We were told it’ll be 10 to 15 minutes and to wait at the curb. 30 minutes later, still no shuttle so we called again and were told the same answer. In all, we waited about an hour for pick up. When arriving to their building, we started the check in process. I was asked for a copy of my insurance policy, which was not information asked for at time of booking. All other rental companies do not do this . Being from Alberta and with the clock difference I was not able to access my agent. The lady doing the booking was very demanding an belligerent, snapping her fingers at my wife. I have insurance covered on my Credit card, so that process pissed me off , wasted a huge amount of time as we were in a time crunch to get to another city 200 kms away. Once the paper work was done, they had to find a car. Was this not confirmed? Eventually they had a car and we took our own photos not trusting them. It also only had about 2/3 gas and was told it would be okay to return it at that level.
When we returned the car the agent asked why it wasn’t full, I told him of the check out conversation and he shrugged his head and said he wouldn’t penalize me for it. FU pal,
Thankfully the trip back to the airport was fast as the driver did not obey speed rules. Never again will we book from them.

Iversta is my goto car rental company, whenever I fly into Toronto (YYZ)

Whenever I fly into Toronto, I always rent a car from Iversta because the cars are good and the price is great! Yes, it's true, they are not actually located inside the airport, but they are not very far away and they will pick you up from the airport, if you make your way over to Viscount Station. There is a free Terminal Link Train that will take you to Viscount Station and it only takes about 5 minutes to get there. When it comes time to go back to the airport, the folks at Iversta will take you back to Viscount Station, after you drop off your rental car. So there is no need for a taxi or an Uber, which is great.

As I mentioned, the rental cars are good and the rental price is great. The folks in the office are friendly and helpful and I've never had a problem with them. I've rented a car from them 5 or 6 times over the last 12 years and will continue to do so, every time I fly into YYZ.

James 😎

Da Bomb Dot Com

Received great service. Was upgraded to a 2023 Rogue, no additional charge. Was promptly picked up and dropped off at airport by nice drivers. Used my own vehicle insurance. The price was half of what I would have paid their competitors for a long weekend rental. Highly recommend, will definitely rent from them again.

Avoid iversta unless you would like a nightmare instead of a trip!

I was wondering why this crummy car rental has such glowing reviews and then i read Jay's review in Yelp: "don't trust any of the glowingly positive reviews on this page. The company has a sign posted at checkout offering an immediate $5 discount on your rental if you post a review and show it to them on your phone."

I made the mistake of renting a car at Iversta, a company which is an ACE rent-a-car affiliate, in Toronto, Canada. If this company was not an ACE affiliate, i would have not used their services. Unfortunately, this car rental has been a nightmare costing me more than $1000 for something that was advertised as a little over $200, as below:

On 1/30/23- i booked the car online via economy booking and paid $213.66. This was supposed to have included full insurance coverage, according to emails i received from economy booking.

On 3/22/2023- i picked up the car from the Iversta. This was an extremely unpleasant experience. The rental company (Iversta) is located outside the airport and to get them to pick us up, we had to get an elevator up to a particular floor of the airport, then go over to the Viscount road section, take another elevator down, find a blue phone on the wall, call their number on the sign next to the phone and then get picked up. All of this with 4 large suitcases and an 80year-old mother in tow. Not an experience i would care to repeat. On picking up the car, I showed the presumed 'full coverage' proof email sent to me from economy booking and payments made. The Iversta staff told me there had been no payment and charged me $331.22 for the rental and full insurance coverage. Additionally, they informed me that they would not be present in the office when i had to drop off the call (6am on 3/31). I took pictures of where i was supposed to park the car and drop off the key.

On 3/27/23, while doing the monthly bills, i looked at the accounts and noted that i had already been charged $213.66 back in January 2023 for the booking and full insurance for this car. I called the Iversta staff, who stated they didn't have any record or information of my prior payment and no knowledge of my having been charged before. A long conversation, which included a very defensive site manager, was unproductive and concluded with him telling me to pick it up with economy booking as they had nothing to do with it. Economy booking, by the way, has no phone number and did not respond to any emails i sent. I disputed the charge with my credit card and that is still ongoing.

On 3/31/23- I dropped off the car and the key at the sites designated by the Iversta. Car was in its original shape with a full gas tank (picked up 3/4 full). I took pictures of the car at the time of drop off and they show the car is intact. 3/31/23- Iversta (your company) called my temporary lodging in Toronto to ask for my email and cell # (which were on all the paperwork). When I called them, they told me that the car had been left with extensive damage to the front of it and that they needed to charge me more to fix the damage. Again i informed the defensive site manager that the car had been left by me at the designated parking area in its original intact shape and that i had photos to prove that. They stated they had photos as well. I requested to be sent the time-stamped photos of the car damage. I also informed them that (a) i was not responsible for any damage that would happen to the car between 6am when i dropped it off and 9 or 10 am or whenever the car was received by their front staff and (b) the car was covered by full insurance coverage (paid by myself) and as a result i saw no reason for additional charges. Needless to say, this was another fruitless and uninformative conversation with the site manager, who did not answer any of the points raised above, nor did he ever sent me the photo proofs of car damage, time-stamped while i was responsible for the car. All i have received is the notice from the credit card that another $518.22 were charged to my card, bringing the total charges for this trip to $1063.09 (american). The company is now sending me emails, asking me for more money???!!! This trip has been made a nightmare thanks to iversta; a car rental that was intended to cost less than $300, has now cost over $1000 and they're asking me for more money?? Needless to say, i am disputing all charges and will broadly distribute my experience in all social networks, letting every Toronto traveler or other travelers using rental cars know my negative experience with Iversta and ACE rent-a-car because so far, i have had not a single reason to recommend this company to anyone, unless they would like a nightmare instead of a vacation.

Nice cars, great service

We have been renting cars from Inversta for many years and never had a bad experience. We drive kids to and from tournaments so safety is very important to us. Iversta is the only company that we have seen that puts WINTER tires on their cars in winter! We would highly recommend them to anyone!

Best Van and price available

Hyundai Carnival Van was bigger and better than the Caravan promised. More cargo space and great Automatic steering kept me between the lines on the highway. I got an amazingly low price booking through QeeQ.com. The rental office was only 3 minutes shuttle away from YYZ airport. Check in and out was not as quick as some bigger companies that I could pre book with. They were just very careful to get all my info including a photo of my personal auto insurance when I declined the upgrade.
The extra time was well worth the 50% discount over all competition.

Being a tourist and renting a car…

Being a tourist and renting a car solves half of your problems related to the movement. Especially if you're in a country as big as Canada. Or in Canada itself. Anyway, thanks to you my trip was awesome and it wasn't even as expensive as I expected it to be.
