Shady Billing Practices

This place took advantage of me, and now I have no meds and a very high bill that I shouldn’t have. To explain, they billed me an astronomical amount back in July for my infusion. Instead of getting my meds from the specialty pharmacy as they had been doing for over a year they started doing a buy-and-bill which cost about 500x more. Because I had a copay program they said it was fine because I didn’t have to pay it the copay program would cover it. Sound fishy? I had to spend hours on the phone with my health insurance and IVX billing. No one could figure out what happened or tell me why my EOB jumped from a couple thousand dollars to over $15,000. I spoke to Erin, Regional Manger who ultimately told me they were gonna bill how they wanted to bill and I could take it or leave it. I have a chronic illness and take meds that make me irritable so I decided to let it go so my blood pressure could return to normal and I made sure I wasn’t going to be billed even though they exhausted my Copay Program. That would have mattered if my doc hadn’t decided to change my meds so I let it go. And after being hung up on by Kim and Monique for being upset that they were treating me badly and taking advantage of me. Fast forward to this week (6 months later), my insurance tells me IVX Health asked to have the billing changed just a few weeks ago. I noticed because my out of pocket changed and I was sent that big bill I was afraid of before. Spoke to Kim, Monique and Erin again but this time got to add Kristen who is in charge of billing. Who also hung up on me because I was upset. Called me snarky and rude. I guess I should be nice to people who are trying their hardest to overcharge me? No I’m report this because it’s fraud. You can read my BBB and consumer complaint if you want more information. But I don’t recommend ever going to these locations.
