Please do not use this company

Please do not use this company. I ordered flowers before 9:00am to have same day delivery. The notified me 7 hours later that they could not deliver the order. Too late to do anything else.

Easter Order

I placed an Easter order using this florist. The arrangement was sparse and looked nothing like the picture on the web. It took over a week for a partial refund and several follow-up emails. I would never use them again since they were the middleman for the order and could not fully correct the situation.

If you decide to use James Cress Florist and your delivery is Not in the New York Long Island area, please know this information: James Cress is the order "machine" to place orders, but they resource to a local florist in whatever area you've placed the order. Unfortunately, James Cress has no idea what florist is being outsourced to create that arrangement. Consequently, they have no quality control.

The positive side: The flowers were delivered on time, James Cress customer service answered the phone, and they delivered a partial refund.

Fraudulent-DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I ordered flowers from James Cress Florist (googled florists in Gallup). They had excellent reviews. Turns out they are not local (New York!), they are just a broker! They couldn’t find a local florist in Gallup to order through so they canceled it, unbeknownst to me. I now see I got a voice message from them on Saturday that they couldn’t deliver them, but I missed that I guess-so many spam calls. No email notification, only the email confirmation of my order. They charged my credit card. It wasn’t until I inquired about the order that I found out order had been canceled! They refunded the money but were not willing to make it right by delivering the flowers with an apology to the recipient. When I went to give them a bad review I found out that they’ve done this many times according to the Better Business Bureau. What a scam – if I had not inquired, the charge would go through and the order would never be delivered🤬.

Deceitful Company

This company is deceitful regarding the location of their business. I specifically searched for a local florist to order funeral flowers from. James Cress popped up. I ordered a large basket with 6 live flowering plants. I was mortified to find that they sent a typical 2 stem orchid I could've purchased at Sam's club for $20.99. They never contacted me to inform me of this change. Do not do business with this company. I wrote to them. Crickets. I am disputing this charge. I now know this company is located in NY. Buyer beware!

I would STRONGLY advise never ordering…

I would STRONGLY advise never ordering from this company.

I spent over $100 to send my sister flowers for her birthday, and what she received looked like something that could have been purchased at Walmart for $15. The arrangement was extremely thin, the stems were low quality, and the overall presentation was embarrassing for the price I paid.

I understand that I selected a “designer’s choice” arrangement, but that should never mean sending the cheapest flowers possible. Designer’s choice should still reflect the quality and style shown in the example photos. The arrangement pictured online was low and tight, in a specific vase style. What arrived was completely different and looked thrown together.

When companies show example photos, they exist for a reason. It’s like showing someone a Mercedes as the example and then delivering a Kia—it simply doesn’t represent what was advertised.

I reached out and emailed back and forth with them hoping they would make it right. Instead of resolving the issue, their final response was essentially that they “hope I accept their apology.” That was the extent of their customer service after charging over $100 for a product that looked nothing like what was advertised.

Extremely disappointing experience. I will never order from them again and would not recommend anyone else do so either

BIG RIP OFF - DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM

First off, I ordered these flowers to be delivered to my daughter's work for her birthday. They didn't deliver them until 947PM. yes PM. so she didn't get them until the next day and what she got was far smaller than what I ordered online - she got 6 stems in a vase for what I paid over $100 online for. When I contacted them they basically told me they couldn't do anything and I got what I paid for. Definitely DO NOT order from this company.

Long Island Top Florist

My experience with James Cress Florist comes from both sides, as a customer and as a delivery driver for years

As a customer even to this day, they are the only florist I use for Valentine’s Day Mother’s Day birthdays and special events. They are family owned and you can truly feel that in every bouquet. Every arrangement I have ever ordered or received reflects the care, pride, and attention to detail that only a family run business can provide.

On the delivery side, they were just as impressive. The team was always supportive and patient (even during the busiest seasons) It never felt like just another job.

It is truly an amazing company with an amazing product.

Family-Owned

This is a family-owned business that genuinely cares about quality, presentation, and customer experience. The arrangements are beautiful.

If issues arise, the owner personally steps in to make sure everything is perfect. That level of accountability is so rare and appreciated.

I’ve used them a number of times and have always been happy … highly recommend!

James Cress is the kind of place you…

James Cress is the kind of place you recommend to friends without hesitation - doesn’t matter where you are sending to I use them to send to my aunt in Florida and I live in NJ. The arrangements I have ordered were stunting, vibrant, and clearly made by someone who knows what they’re doing. It didn’t look “mass produced” at all, it looked customized and premium.

Customer service was also straight up amazing. I had a small request and they handled it quickly and kindly with email confirmation on my order to show it was updated without asking. They also sent me a notification when the order was being made and another when it was on the truck for delivery and a final email with time of delivery, who signed for the delivery, and sometimes they also show the photo of where it was delivered if no one was home to accept delivery. The recipient was obsessed, and honestly, I was too. This is how flower delivery should be done.

I always have an amazing experience…

I always have an amazing experience with James Cress Florist, whenever I order online or over the phone I know my order is being taken care of. I use them to sent to California, Quebec, and Texas as I have many of my clients in those areas and every time I send them I get absolutely raving reviews. Thank you James Cress team!!

Not a local florist - no delivery

They market themselves as a local florist, but they are not. I ordered flowers to be delivered yesterday and they called me today to say they don't deliver that area, that they are a national florist. They canceled my order. We will wait to see what happens on my credit card statement.

Flowers were delivered wilted

Flowers were delivered wilted, petals browning and curling, with a smelly birthday cake scented candle with bible scripture on it and cheap chocolate. Looks like a dollar store special - totally tacky.

Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience.
I paid for an XL bouquet, but what was delivered was a small, sparse arrangement that bore little resemblance in size or value to what was advertised.

When I raised this with the company, I was refused a refund on the basis that “the florist did their job” simply because flowers were delivered. Size and value were ignored entirely.

I would not use this company again and would advise others to be cautious if ordering a larger or premium arrangement.

Horrible

Horrible - I even called the "shop" to confirm what the plant would be like and the person I spoke with acted like it was a real floral shop, reassured me that the delivery person would call in advance of delivery, etc. This is basically a scam. Waiting for my money to be refunded.

This company insanely untrustworthy

This company insanely untrustworthy. Not just not delivering the flower but very hard to get back your money. Only one person ( Gail) try to fix the company issues but no access to handle the third companies ( who ever they hire ) bullshit.

DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST

DO NOT USE. They take your order and then hours later when it’s too late to get the order delivered that day they notify you they don’t even have a florist in the area.
