The JBL xtreme 4 Bluetooth speaker is an absolute Beast! It sounds so Crystal clear never distorts the sound even on its highest volume! I believe it has an over 24-hour battery life! And if the battery fails you can actually remove it it's not sealed in the unit! And the bass oh man it's very good not over possessive or over driving but man it's there! Thank you JBL! I also have a pair of JBL over the headset it's a tune 7,000 and a pair of JBL earbuds! The JBL tune 7000 headphones actually have a 40-hour battery life in them if you can believe it!
JBL soundbar 2-1–A Piece of Trash That Can’t Even Handle Human Speech
Avoid this soundbar at all costs. The JBL Bar 2.1 is a deeply flawed piece of trash that fails at the most basic function of a soundbar — reproducing spoken dialogue. While it handles music and background noise without issue, it consistently drops or clips entire words or sentences whenever there’s clear, standalone human speech, such as in documentaries, news, or any dialogue-heavy content. This happens even when the voice is loud and clear, not just during quiet passages. The result? I’m stuck watching shows with subtitles ON — because the soundbar simply refuses to play half the dialogue.
I’ve tested this across multiple TV sets, inputs (HDMI ARC and optical), formats, and sources — and the issue is always the same. It’s clearly a design flaw in JBL’s signal detection or audio processing. There are no settings to fix it. No firmware update resolves it. And JBL support has nothing to offer except useless suggestions to switch cables — which changes nothing.
This is not a minor inconvenience. This is a crippling flaw that makes the product literally unfit for its advertised purpose. Unless you’re only interested in hearing explosions or background scores, this soundbar will leave you guessing what people actually said.
A soundbar that can’t play voices is not a soundbar — it’s just a broken speaker in a fancy box. Absolute garbage.
Accused of trying to scam
Earbuds quit working in less than a week and they accused me of trying to scam them in customer support (agent John Paul).
I will return the earbuds to the vendor and never buy JBL again

JBL didn't deliver parcel as promised. Refused to refund, and said they need to investigate, which would take weeks. Now I'm out of pocket, without my item.

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Paid 30 dollars for “next day air” and it took 4 days. Company refused to refund the 30 dollars. Tried calling, emailing and also having a text conversation with customer service. The txt agent was completely rude and unhelpful. They were sarcastic, refused to take responsibility and left me feeling even more angry because they would not listen. I will never buy anything from this company ever again.
Be very careful which model JBL headphones you buy!
I purchased a pair of JBL Tune660NC headphones to use for work. I chose JBL cause I have a speaker which I have been very happy with so thought getting headphones would be the right thing to do and the fact that they are wireless, was important too, because it gives me the freedom to move around whilst on the phone with clients.
After setting them up through Bluetooth on my laptop, I was initially very happy but then I noticed, that if I dont take a call or make one, the headphones just switch off by themselves which is not convenient at all when used for work. This happens every 10 minutes.
I downloaded the JBL headphone app to change the settings after having read online that you can switch off this automatic switch off function and wanted to change the sound setting too but after downloading the app, I couldnt find the model.
I contacted JBL customer service through WhatsApp and that was a total waste of time. First I got standard templates copy pasted in which did not at all address my query and when I pointed out in a bit of a tone, to read what I had written before answering incorrectly, the agent wrote:
Harman Customer Support: We're still trying to include more and more products into our headphones, unfortunately not every headphone is available. Harman Customer Support: Thank you for this chat, if you need anything please feel free to contact us again.
And closed the chat. What on earth answer is that? If the model was really outdated, I would say fair enough, but its a newer model who consumers buy only to find out later that they cant change any of the setting on the headphones at all and their reply is just.....tough.

I bought a pair of over ear headphones at the beginning of 2024 which broke soon after. A new pair were issued which have now broken too. I have been trying to sort out a refund or replacement with the customer service team who are now not responding. With two pairs of broken headphones, they are clearly very poorly made. This coupled with a terrible customer service team, I would avoid this company at all costs! They are scammers
I have the JBL 520BT overear headphones…
I have the JBL 520BT overear headphones and they are awful. I don't think they've ever successfully connected to any device on the first try. I've almost been in so many car accidents due to constantly having to figure out why they are disconnecting/ not connecting. They suck. period. don't buy them.
JBL ear infections
I have bought JBL Tune Flex and afterwards had few episodes of ear infection. I notified the company and they said they will take this issue very seriously.
Since 13.11.2023 there is no official results of the "analysis".
I have filed official health issue report to the authorities because there are other known cases of the same issue and JBL is not doing anything to prevent it.

Excellent customer service
My son’s headphones stopped working after 6 months and we sent them back to be fixed. They were very efficient, but couldn’t be repaired so automatically sent him a new pair. He’s delighted!
DONT BUY jbl products, they dissapoint then break.
Do not use if you depend on them to function consistantly, both consumer and professional. Once a fine builder now another mismanaged company to avoid.

I purchased JBL Wave Flex 2 True Wireless In-Ear Headphones (Black) from Jb-Hi Fi on pittstreet. I was absolutely disappointed with the quality of this item. In the past I have bought the JBL Wave Flex True Wireless and it was a great experience. I thought I was upgrading but this wasn't the case. When I took calls, I couldn't be heard on the other line. When I tried to turn up the volume, the item maxxed out. I felt like this was such a waste of money and am so disappointed. I love purchasing JBL products and have been a loyal customer for a number of years. I have even bought my family JBL products (speakers) as gfits because I rate them so highly. However this time around, I felt like I had just wasted my money.

I rate one star only because there is no zero.A new sound bar delivered faulty , JBL techs could not get it going and advised a reset .Over a two month period ,six resets and numerous phone calls I was advised to take it to their service agent ,a five hour drive, or parcel it up and post it back to JBL !!!! I complained about this and JBL confirmed that they “understood my concern” that the potential damage to the bar and the possibility of loss was great ,but this is their policy . A sound bar that doesn’t give out sound I believe is a major problem. ACCC stated that a major problem warrants replacement or refund ,at no time did JBL suggest I contact the supplier ,which I eventually did and a replacement was given the same day. I firmly believe that JBL will run rings around you until you give up and walk away a pity as I believe it is a great product

Order lost. Requested replacement. Initial customer service assistant did not process request. Second assistant processed request but did not advise only refunds offered. Now been over a week and no confirmation of refund. Various emails received, one in German, others in English. Very unhelpful.
