One of the wagon drivers pulled out of a junction right in front on me on a 60mph icey road, causing my to nearly crash into the back of him. My kids were traumatised by it. The driver didn’t even look. At the motorway junction the driver then threatened me. I spoke to the transport manager & he said he would call me back. He never did. Absolutely appalling driver & disgraceful & disrespectful transport manager.

Great service. I ordered a skip for the next day. They called to confirm and advise will try and get it delivered first thing in the morning. That morning the driver called to advise was 20min away. Turned up. Was a great guy. Customer service was great. Friendly and helpful overall. Would recommend

I thought being a large company it would not have been so personal. The personal support of the staff, from the office admin to the delivery drivers the consideration, the patience and help was great, especially as I was a novice to organising this and unsure if size etc. They delivered at the time of day I requested and collected when I requested. They even made a special collection for us. A brilliant service and I will definitely use again.

Couldn’t recommend J Dickinson & sons enough. Super easy to set up, they’re dead helpful and friendly. I’ve just increased my bin size, they helped me choose the most cost effective way which was great and the new bin was delivered within a day.

Ordered the midi skip online and it arrived this morning as planned. The delivery driver - Kev - was very pleasant and chatty. He had a bit of a problem separating the skips out as they'd got stuck together but he persevered and got there in the end. Kev was very mindful about our block paving, which was appreciated. We had everything ready in bags to go in the skip and so I called the office about 4.00pm and asked for it to be collected asap. The friendly office staff suggested it may be 2 or 3 days before it was collected - but Kev arrived back again at 4.30pm and uplifted the skip! Overall, therefore, a very positive experience.

Recently hired a skip from J Dickinson & sons and the customer service provided by the staff was exceptional from the initial call to book the skip through to the delivery of the skip. Would definitely recommend.

Claim to have the aim of sending nothing to landfill. This is not the case. Good chance whatever you use this people for will end up in the most complained about landfill in Europe.

Imagine being told that a company is aiming for 0% landfill and yet sends numerous truckloads daily to Walleys Quarry Landfill in Silverdale. This landfill has now had 125 breaches with the Environment Agency and has the worst reputation/record in Europe!

No morals! Health before wealth.

Disgraceful decision by this company! Look at all the children, pets and people you are harming! The fugitive Hydrogen Sulphide gases are causing local residents to be gassed in their homes. Why travel all this way to add to our misery? You are misrepresenting your company on your advert!

My family’s health is in decline for your profits!

This company claims it wants to send 0% to landfill. If so why are numerous loaded HGV's owned and operated by J. Dickinson & Sons circling the roundabouts before Walley's Quarry landfill at Newcastle under Lyme in Staffordshire waiting to go in?

The resident of Silverdale, Newcastle-under-Lyme would like to know why you are dumping your waste 60 miles from home at Walleys Quarry ( Red Industries) and not on your own door step ?

For a company claiming to hopefully achieving 0% waste into landfill you failing dismissally with 3 of your wagons circling around Walleys quarry Landfill waiting for a slot to get in.

An excellent experience from this company. The driver James Warburton navigated the tight turn onto the drive no problem. He thought he was only going to pick up the skip but ended up helping me up from a fall down the steps as I went out to talk to him . He definitely went that extra mile and I would like to thank him .

Fantastic service from dickinson & sons. Especially from jenny there waste account manager. She was very helpful and understanding very polite. We will do business again in the future

Our builder hired a skip from Dickinsons. Once building work was completed we were desperate for the skip to be removed due to parking restrictions in our area. I contacted the company via e mail. Jason responded immediately. Joanne, the planner arranged the skip collection within an hour and Jason kept me informed of timings of collection. The driver was friendly and collection was on time and brilliant. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and would be happy to use for any future needs. Thank you for a friendly and personal service.

Worst company in the uk!!! Avoid at all costs, nothing gets recycled apart from anything they make money in, metal pvc wood. All the rest ends up in landfills, so all this about aiming for 100% recycling is aload of crap, I know this from working there!!! And the owner James Dickinson is a bully to his staff, so if you wanna give him your money your choice!! But there are far better firms around bolton than Dickinson

We have use J Dickinson and sons for waste disposal. Great service, reliable and friendly staff both in the office and drivers, we would highly recommend.
