JetBlue canceled our flight. Worst customer service. Ultimately made it right.

JetBlue canceled our flight after we sat on the plane for 2 hours, with minimal information. We had to manage rebooking on our own, and couldn’t get out for 2 days.
Only some people were informed of hotel accommodations. They covered one night, but stiffed us for the second night, which we had to cover. UK law requires lodging for these kinds of cancellations.
Customer service has been non existent.
They used to be great.
Not anymore.
09/20/2025–Later
Though the initial experience was terrible, and JetBlue needs to fix their response to cancellation, they did fulfill compensation requirements very quickly. We got all the reimbursements we were entitled to within days.

Don't hand a thief your money

I have traveled with Jetblue for over a decade. My family, friends, and loved ones have all traveled with them but will no longer do so. Last year I booked a flight for my family (myself, husband, and infant daughter) to travel to Seattle. Jetblue changed my husbands return flight without notice, and refused to put him back on the same flight. We tried to rebook him on the same flight and were charged an additional $400 and given a travel bank credit of $200, which we were assured could be used by a family member. Beyond frustrating and made me question whether I wanted to fly with them again.
Fast forward to last month, when I spent over 4 hours booking a ticket with that same travel bank credit for my sister to be here for my daughter's birthday. We booked the ticket with an agent. Then 6 days before she was supposed to travel, we get a cancellation email with no reason. After two additional hours of dealing with agents, the company said they sent the claim to the fraud department with no way to get in touch, no follow up, and no timeline for resolution. Most importantly, no ticket for my sister unless she goes in person to pay twice the price for the same ticket she had already been booked for.
I've traveled all over the world on a variety of airlines. JetBlue basically stole my money and left my family without a way to travel. The WORST experience I've ever had, hands down.

❌ Flight cancelled, missed connection, unacceptable treatment

My New Orleans – New York – Paris flight on August 29 was cancelled by JetBlue after we had already waited over 2 hours at the airport. The consequences:

> arrived in Paris 24 hours late,

> one passenger rerouted to London and left to pay for his own way to Paris,

> promised business class seats suddenly withdrawn in Boston (my boarding pass was literally torn up by a supervisor!),

> no clear information about our rights, no compensation offered.

Because of this, we missed a major event (a wedding). JetBlue has since refused any form of compensation.
👉 A company that treats passengers this way cannot be trusted. Avoid JetBlue at all costs.

Paid for Mint and got a broken seat

Paid for a first class seat on a red eye because it reclines fully and was hoping to sleep. Chair was broken and could not move. WiFi was out so they could not log the issue and they have no record of this when I’ve tried twice to call and ask for a resolution.

Awfully Rude NYC staff

Awful. Staff were so rude in New York City! Ugh I will never use Jet Blue again. Also in a four hour flight all we got was a soda. Due to someone's "allergy" in my row they did not serve snacks. Never again and when someone is waiting on line you can at the very least smile and acknowledge them.

Unreliable

Was really wanting to once again start liking and flying JetBlue after several years boycotting the brand due to simple unreliability. Was about to get their premium credit card and book several future travel needs. But today, JB48 TPA-LGA had a departure delay of 90 minutes which meant I would be late for my meeting. So I cancelled. There is no other reason for this delay other than internal disorganization (staff/equipment). I can accept weather issues, but today’s JetBlue delay was not weather. Booking with JetBlue will cause travel headaches for the traveler. They cannot be relied upon to meet published schedules. Sadly I will take my flying business elsewhere as before

First time Ive flown with this airline... flight crew sucks!!!

First time Ive flown with this airline. As what most people say on the review, staff are at least rude and no manners. Seems like thats what theyre good at. Overall, service is below zero, aircraft is good but service is terrible. They need to invest in training staff the proper customer service. Theyre too arrogant to do "customer servicing" jobs.

I wish I could give JetBlue zero stars

I wish I could give JetBlue zero stars. My kids lost their iPad during a trip, and the ground staff confirmed it was found. They even told me where it would be sent. I filed the Lost & Found claim the same day, but now all I get are emails saying “ITEM NOT FOUND – THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS.”
I reached out to customer service, and their response was simply, “Sorry, file another claim.” I also tried contacting JetBlue on X (Twitter), but they only told me to keep following up by email, which hasn’t solved anything.
If you are flying JetBlue, try not to lose anything. Even if their staff confirms your item was found, JetBlue will not make the effort to return it to you. Instead, they’ll just send you a dismissive email.

La azafata colombiana muy grosera yo…

I want to report a very unpleasant experience during my flight with JetBlue. One of the flight attendants, despite being Colombian, showed rude and disrespectful behavior. When a passenger asked for something in English, she touched his arm and laughed, which I found extremely unprofessional.

There were about 15 of us on the flight, and I have never felt so discriminated against and belittled during air travel. Such behavior should not be tolerated from crew members who represent customer service and the airline’s values.

After this experience, I would not fly with JetBlue again, and I strongly believe the airline should urgently review the attitude and training of its staff.

JetBlue’s service was an absolute nightmare.

JetBlue’s service was an absolute nightmare. At check-in, the agent (Serita) forced me to check my bag even though I had purchased a more expensive ticket that should have included a carry-on. I explained that my luggage contained valuable items, but they showed zero concern for my situation. I was visibly distressed and shaking, yet the supervisor (Rosalina) was just as dismissive—rather than assisting me, she immediately offered a refund as if my business didn’t matter.

This airline prioritizes packing flights to maximum capacity and squeezing out every dollar over treating customers with basic respect. Discounted fares do not give them the right to mistreat people. JetBlue has lost my trust completely—I will never fly with them again, and I strongly caution others against it. Even from a business standpoint, I wouldn’t invest in their stock; their declining service reflects a company that’s on the wrong track.

Discounted fares do not give them the right to mistreat people.

Jet Blue will never be a choice again…

Jet Blue will never be a choice again for my future flights. Agents at gate should be trained for minimum courtesy level with customer service. When I checked in online yesterday, seat assignment was not available without paid upgrade. This morning at gate I was assigned an exit row seat, and my SMALL flimsy carry-on bag was taken. I insisted explaining that it was well below a carry on size, but it did not matter to the agent. When boarding people behind me had much bigger bags not taken at gate. Bins above my seats were empty (have pictures of both). A very negative example of pointless aggravation attitude against customers. Really hope my light carry on will not be damaged. Never again Jet Blue!

Our outgoing flight got changed by more than 3 hours, with no compensation and they tried to downgrade seats when I had already paid for comfort plus without any discount …

Our outgoing flight got changed by more than 3 hours. Jet Blue would not honor a compensated change fee even though the flight was changed more than 3 hours, which is their policy (the change should be comped if the fligjt time changes by more than 3 hours).

They also tried to make us have us pay to pick seats that were already picked and paid comfort plus seats when booked, in order to upgrade them to comfort plus seats, which we had already paid for. And then they gave us the worst seat on the plane (row 1 with no under seat storage) for an upgraded fee, when we had already had seats booked in comfort plus.
On the way home I paid for 4 comfort plus seats, there were plenty open near/in the same row as the other 3 of us and tried again to upcharge for comfort plus seats when that was what I paid for in the first place.
They are scammers and liars and I would never use their company again.

They did this again on the flight home and moved my husband to regular cabin when there were plenty of comfort plus seats available next to me and my children. And then made me try to pay an upgrade fee to move him back to comfort plus when I had already paid for him to be in comfort plus.
Overall, this is a terrible airline and a total scam. They are supposed tk be cheap but we ended up paying way more money than we would have on another airline.

Scammed customer

I travelled on Jet Blue recently and after the 1st leg arriving successfully to my destination i was later advised that I would have to pay additional for the return leg because no me, but someone else did not travel. There is evidence that i travelled and the flight remained booked however i had to pay $304 additional for the same ticket and seats that I originally had. I do believe there is some type of scam occurring. So I personally would not recommend Jetblue to anyone.

Jet Blue is so bad there is no rating low enough

If there was a negative 10 rating thats what the corrupt and horrible " airline " deserves.
Short story I am owed 618.43 dollars for a flight that I did not take that was canceled by the gate agent. Not only will they not refund the full amount they will not give a credit since I didnt follow up in 24 hours. OH yes I was on vacation! I can only hope you go out of business as you dont deserve. Do not book do not listen because they are deceivers and liars Especially " the escalation team"

Horrible customer service and policies

I like Jet Blue's planes but everything else is very unfair to the customer. If you cancel or change a flight, they put your money into their JetBlue travel bank with an expiration date and if you don't have a flight you need to book and don't use it, they take your money and do not give it back to you unlike all other airlines do. Also when they change a flight by hours, they will not make any accommodations to changing your flight without significant fees. I have had this issue many times with Jet Blue and they are the last airline I search when needing to make flight. They also charge exorbitant fees around $70-$89 to select a seat on top of booking fees which is ridiculous. Management really needs to reevaluate policies because they have the worst customer service of any airline in the industry!

Horrible

Horrible. what happened to a great company that went down the drain. Where do we start. rescheduled our flight 4 times. sent a $12 compensation when we had to book a hotel, car rental, missed work and not one crap given from them. I used to fly all the time with JetBlue and completely a different and trash company than what it was before. got hung up on by their customer service multiple times. they contrac all their customer service over seas where these idiots don’t even know how to speak English nor whats going on. This company is shit. After over 1 hour on the phone got no where but rape with this company. Tried charging us more money on everything we were trying to do. Stay away from this company at all means. This company does not care one bit about their clients at all.

JET BLUE - Customers aren't valued

Due to a family situation I needed to cancel my planned trip to Florida in November of 2025. Jet Blue credited my $529.83 as a travel credit that must be used by February of 2026 or I will forfeit that money. My True Blue account number is 2173535143. I engaged a team member and requested that the monies be applied back to my Jet Blue credit card that I booked the trip with. I was told that could not be done. I asked for an exception as I am unsure I can travel by February of 2026 and having ithe credit in my Jet Blue card would allow me to not be restricted on travel dateas. I understand now that I booked a basic flight but didn't realize a cancellation would result in a credit and limited travel time.I am asking that the business PLEASE credit this amount to my JetBlue travel card as I know exceptions can be made. I am 70 years old and have always had pleasant experience with Jet Blue up to this point. I filed a complaint with the BBB and Jet Blue sent a rote response referring me to their website contact area which I already accessed to no success.
