The first time I went to Japan I used a pocket wifi, the second time I used Airalo and most recently I used JJeSIM. JJeSIM gave me the best connection without any throttling. While I think that Airal... See more

Coverage was great and I had no issues while using the Esim. I found there was some conflicting information in the set-up instructions vs the FAQs and it wasn't possible to set up fully before arriving in Japan, but thankfully once I arrived everything worked as planned.

Simple setup guide freely given and you are able to setup before you leave your country so your phone can easily switch to the eSIM on landing in Japan and it just works flawlessly, I kept to within Tokyo for my trip but I never lost signal anywhere in the city

We set up our JJeSIM on our phones at home as suggested and activated them when we landed at the airport. The eSIM worked wherever we went in Japan, including on our hike of the Nakasendo trail from Magome to Tsumago.
The only thing we couldn’t get to work was texting, but that might have been user error.
Anyhow it worked as was promised and we were grateful for it. If we return to Japan we’ll use this eSIM again.

I'm a pretty anxious person, so my first time in Japan was planned out perfectly. From watching his videos, I know I'd be using jjesim, but I was terrified of it not working. But I followed the simple instructions and not only was it ready to go when I landed, I never once had a problem with it. I rely pretty heavily on my phone, so this was a huge relief and made my travel experience infinitely more relaxing and fun. Can't thank you enough Mr. Broad, for having a hand in helping make my Japan trip unforgettable!

It’s was so much easier than I thought. I was worried it wouldn’t work (I have a 2020 iPhone SE) but the set up was such a simple task.
When I landed, my phone switched automatically and it was smooth sailing for the whole trip. Super simple, super reliable and super fast.
I highly recommend from deep within my soul.

Had connection issues when I first arrived at Narita, which was a minor issue when checking train connections jetlagged. Turns out it was an access point problem and I had to manually add a new one. I'd recommend having those details saved from the website somewhere offline just incase. Apart from that, everything has worked great. Excellent coverage even in remote areas and speed has been pretty good everywhere. 4G+ seems to be the standard. Love Chris's videos so wanted to support him. Will be using again for next years trip.

Used jj esim for 3 weeks in Japan and it worked flawlessly for the whole trip and there were many times I was the only in our group without some sort of issue with their internet.(I was the only one with jj esim)

The Journey Japan Esim was very easy to install and was the back bone to my incredible experience in Japan. I've already recommended it to my friends and family who wish to visit Japan because of it's given instructions to install and it's incredible coverage. Being able to navigate the largest city in the world finding cool tucked away places and finding my way to quiet towns outside the city with out getting lost really helped me enjoy the journey.

I found out about this eSIM from Chris's Youtube channel when I was looking for inspiration from my Japan trip. Not only did he give good tips on what sights to see, but made connection easier along the way. Setup was super easy and I had a steady signal in cities ranging from Hiroshima to Tokyo. When I visit Japan again this will definitely be my go-to!

It was super easy to set up, easy to use, you can buy it anywhere you are, no weird cooky collections. Great Price-Performance and it is very easy and affordablw to top up if you used mpre data volume than you anticipated.

Setup was easy, direct access to internet upon landing in Japan and no connectivity issues throughout our journey. The coverage was good even in the mountains. I would definitely recommend it.

My wife and I used JJeSIM for our trip to Japan in May of this year. Everything was dead simple from the initial transaction to the activation and usage. The coverage was great. Hoping to return in Feb ‘26 and will be using JJeSIM again!

Easy to purchase and no fuss to set up and immediately use. Perfect for my 3 week trip in Japan, I couldn't fault it.

From purchase to installation, everything was incredibly easy. The coverage was excellent in both cities and rural areas.
I used the Jorney Japan eSIM 20GB plan for two weeks while traveling around Japan, Tokyo, Nagano, Nikko (Tochigi), and Kyoto. I never had to worry about internet access. I’ll definitely use this again on my next visit!
