Unethical Refunding for Auto Renewal Billing
I got hit with 2 recurring billings of $66 I did not know about. I quickly got bored and didn't finish the first month. I did not know it was auto renewed.
I just noticed a message in my email from 2 days ago saying my jobescape was renewed. I couldn't believe it. I went back and my account was still active.
I sent a message to them asking for a refund of the billing from 2 days ago because I didn't know I was being auto charged.
their reply? they have shielded themselves from refunding people who forget to cancel by requiring 100% completion of the course.
I got bored. I stopped using this 6 months ago. they know that people who forget will not have the course complete. So their "policy" is nothing but unethical, predatory billing.

⚠️ BUYERS BEWARE: Unexpected Auto-Renewal Charges
I signed up for a 1-week introductory plan for USD 6.93 with the understanding that I was trying the service for a short period.
To my surprise, I was later charged USD 38.95 for an automatic subscription renewal that I did not actively intend to purchase.
While the company states that the renewal terms were included in the checkout process, I found the subscription model and recurring billing arrangement to be insufficiently transparent. The significant increase from USD 6.93 to USD 38.95 was not something I expected when signing up.
I did not manually renew the subscription, nor did I intentionally choose to continue the service beyond the introductory period. Whether a customer wishes to proceed with a paid subscription should be a clear and informed decision.
The refund process has also been disappointing, as the company relies on conditions that require completing 28 consecutive days of tasks, despite the fact that the initial plan purchased was only for 1 week.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that potential customers carefully review all subscription and auto-renewal terms before making a purchase. There are alternative services that offer greater pricing transparency, clearer renewal notices, and more customer-friendly refund policies.
Initial Charge: USD 6.93 (1-week introductory plan)
Renewal Charge: USD 38.95 (automatic renewal after trial period)

Good product, let down by chaotic billing …but their customer service were great
I signed up for the first month trial in June, forgot all about it, and then I found the next month a £29.29 deduction. I hadn't realised I signed up for subscription, or hadn't cancelled the trial in time, or I hadn't read the small print.
I assumed it was fraud as I didn't recognise the name on my statement, so I contacted the bank.
I have to say, that there are differing reviews here - the product seems to be well respected (I never delved in as I havent had any time to look at it).
However, JobEscape do certainly seem to be having major issues with their billing - which could if not solved quickly - be their downfall.
My refund was very quick, made in full within 24 hours, with a couple of follow-up mails to check I had received.
I find that to be very positive customer sevice.
A good and well received product - just the finance department might bring them down.
