Disappointed in the manor in which we were handled. It was clear that they were just after 'the sale'. If I had listened we would have been 10k short of our target, but we stuck it out and got what we wanted ( contrary to the direction in which we were being led ).
They also allowed the Tennant's of the same property ( before the sale ) to leave it in a poor state and after making reports there intermediary body, the Tennant's got away with all the deposit and rent that was still outstanding .
Useless and with more than a hint of arrogance.

I have been working with John Cottis in a professional capacity on a recent purchase transaction. Steve and Laura went above and beyond to bring the purchase to completion. Communication was excellent!! They were friendly, honest and down to earth - but professional at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and relatives, and I hope I get to work with them again on many more conveyancing transactions.

If you are considering leasing a property, I strongly advise against using JOHN COTTIS Estate Agency. My experience with them has been extremely disappointing, and I believe you will regret choosing this agency.

JOHN COTTIS Estate Agency prioritizes the landlord's interests due to their long-standing relationships. I rented a two-bedroom flat and maintained it in immaculate condition. However, when it was time to return my deposit, the agency sided with the landlord's unfounded accusations.

Despite my offer to return and clean the highlighted areas—which were minor and petty—the agency refused. It is clear that they support the landlord's efforts to take advantage of tenants.

In conclusion, I cannot stress enough that you should avoid leasing any property from JOHN COTTIS Estate Agency. I am only giving one star because I cannot post without selecting a star, but honestly, I would give them zero stars.

Extremely bad service. Organised a viewing for a property. Went onto the website regarding the house to see it has now been let. Rang this agency to be told it has now been let. Just to be told sorry you should have been informed. The curtious thing to do would be to let all people view that were booked in, then make a choice. Unfair process. Dont go through this agency. Only care about themselves.
