Huge disappointment

I’ve been a fan for many years, which is what makes this experience particularly disappointing. My partner ordered me a ring as a Christmas present in December because he knew how much I liked his jewellery.

Unfortunately, the ring didn’t arrive until February. When it finally arrived, the quality was extremely disappointing. It was rough and poorly finished, and it was catching on my clothes. This wasn’t what we expected given the price and the reputation of the brand.

We were told that the ring could be returned for a replacement, so we did exactly that. Since then, however, we experienced months of sporadic communication, with repeated promises of a replacement and compensation, followed by long periods of being ignored.

Eventually, after repeatedly trying to resolve the matter, I requested a refund. This was refused, and I have now been blocked, leaving us unable to communicate with the business directly. As a result, we are having to pursue the matter through the small claims court.

What is particularly frustrating is that the business appears to still be responding to new customers and accepting new orders, despite what has been communicated on Instagram about the business. From a customer’s perspective, it is incredibly concerning to see new orders apparently continuing while many existing customers are still waiting for goods, replacements or refunds.

We are also aware of several other customers who say they have paid for goods and have not received them, and who are experiencing similar difficulties getting a response. We have heard similar concerns regarding money allegedly owed to suppliers, although I cannot personally verify those matters.

I am not writing this lightly. I genuinely wanted to support someone whose work I had admired for years, and my partner spent his money in good faith on what was supposed to be a special Christmas present. Instead, months later, we have no ring, no refund and no satisfactory resolution.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise people not to place an order until the business has resolved its outstanding customer issues and can demonstrate that orders are being fulfilled reliably as this is clearly not the case at the moment.
