I changed to Johnston Oils after being…

I changed to Johnston Oils after being ripped off for years by another supplier.. i cannot recommend them highly enough. Extremely helpful driver was prompt and polite. Easy to do business with, would highly recommend. Will be back for more fuel when i need a top up!! Thanks for an outstanding service well done! 👏

We ordered and paid over £1000 for…

We ordered and paid over £1000 for heating oil on 5 March. Yesterday 19 March we received an email advising oil could not be delivered as the tanker could not get down our drive because of overhanging trees. JO have been delivering oil to us for over 40 years and we have never had a complaint against them. It appears they now have a woose of a driver who has done nothing but complain about access since the day and hour he has delivered to us. We phoned the company and spoke to the Manager who was completely rude and advised we might have to move some walls!!!! The woodland is planted on top of a 4ft wall and the small twigs and branches that are hanging down are around 10ft above ground level. What has happened to customer service with this company, it does not exist. We are both in our 80s, mu husband as dementia and life in general is difficult enough without JO making it even more stressful by refusing to deliver our oil. This driver is causing problems for JO and instead of supporting loyal customers by providing a decent service, they are encouraging non-delivery by this driver. Still awaiting the return of our money!! Good luck to JO for their future business in the hands of a bad driver and a rude manager.

I have used Johnston Oil for a number…

I have used Johnston Oil for a number of years, and they have always been efficient, reliable, and friendly. On a couple of occasions when I’ve run out of oil, they’ve come to my rescue and delivered the very next day.

I also use them for gas for cooking. Recently, I called just before closing time to explain that I had run out and couldn’t cook. They were extremely busy as it was just after we had lots of snow, They kindly said they would catch the driver the next morning as his schedule was full for the rest of the week the would to see, they called to say he would drop one off, it was delivered the following day.

Outstanding service and genuinely caring staff. I wouldn’t use anyone else. Highly recommend them.

Stunning service

I was let down by another company and our heating oil was incredibly low. I have a disabled husband who is in a wheelchair so we need the house to be warm. I called Johnston Oils Dyce and explained the situation. They took details and my emergency delivery turned up less than 24 hours later. Other oil suppliers had given me a 7 day deliveries time.

Very helpful.

I was guilty of not listening properly to the instructions that were given to me when I went to fill my gas tank on my campervan, I ended up paying for the previous purchaser's gas as well as my own! When I explained to head office they were very helpful and refunded the amount that was not my purchase. Thank you Helen for your help.

Total rip off disgusting management

Total rip off company under cuts reputable companies just to get the work, money grabbing rude and don't care especially at head office no cares but for the office staff sales reps are utterly repugnant and rude obnoxious and just care about undercutting other companies than providing a good working relationship.

Do yourselves a favour and stay with the current oil supplier you'll only regret it for what a few pence a litre !

Johnston Oils Don't "Give a S**T!"

Have used this company for heating oil several times and never had anything but a professional and courteous service from the previous regular delivery driver. This time was very different and will be the last time we use Johnston Oils. On the day of the delivery, the driver was picked up on our cameras scoping out the route to our oil tank, leaving gates open. He then decided that he would take the oil hose via our side garden, across flower beds, uneven grass and via a small narrow side gate. I greeted him at his vehicle and he gave me a sideways look after i asked if he could take the hose via our driveway. He immediately became confrontational stating that he was going to go via the garden as it was the shortest route. I stated that the previous gent always used the drive access as it is clear of obstruction and hard surfaced to the tank. He responded by saying that the other guy had left the company and he did many things the wrong way. I asked him again to not go via the garden. His response was pure belligerence, insisting that he was going to take it via the garden. After pointing out to him that I was the customer and that this was my property, he just laughed and snorted in my face. He then threatened to scratch our car if he went via the driveway. My wife came outside and spoke to him. He was shouting at this point and again he was reminded by my wife that he was on our property, to which he just dismissed her with a wave of his arm. I asked him to leave and take the oil away, and that we will cancel the delivery. The audio from our cameras clearly picked up him shouting that he "didn't give a sh!t!" perfectly framed against the Johnston Oils delivery wagon behind him.

I complained to their head office in Bathgate and was guaranteed another driver would bring the delivery that same day but nothing arrived. Order cancelled, and we will never use this company again.

Once again I find myself asking for help with the prepayment facility and I was not disappointed and this was matched with a next day delivery of oil. Exceptional Customer Service

Due to a faulty guage we ran out of oil for the first time ever. Although we had ordered oil it wasn’t due to be delivered for a few days. Made a call at the very end of the business day and they were so very helpful and made sure that we were on the route for the very next day. Absolutely amazing service, over and beyond anything expected

Their customer service is great

Their customer service is great. I now have a Magnus oil tank monitor so that I never run out of oil again, and I am in their oil club which means the oil is cheaper. Highly recommended.

Total rip off company

Total rip off company. Lost my deposit on return cylinder, they must be swimming in customer deposits. Would never use them again and would encourage all to avoid, avoid, avoid!

Dear Johnston Oils,

I am writing to express my frustration with the performance issues I have been experiencing with your mobile application. As a loyal customer, I am disappointed to report that the app is not functioning properly, which has caused me significant inconvenience.

The main problems I have encountered are:

1. The app frequently crashes and shuts down after I input my personal information, which is extremely frustrating and wastes my time.
2. When attempting to place orders, the app displays error messages, even though it has already charged my payment method, leading to further aggravation.
3. Overall, the app's instability and unreliability have made it difficult for me to use, and I have had to resort to other means to manage my fuel orders.

I understand that technology can sometimes be unpredictable, but the issues I have faced with your mobile application have been unacceptable. The lack of a reliable and functional app has significantly impacted my experience as a customer, and I am disappointed that I have not been able to receive the level of service I have come to expect from Johnston Oils.

I would appreciate it if you could investigate these problems and provide me with a resolution. My time is valuable, and I should not have to waste it dealing with technical difficulties when trying to use your services.

Exceptional Customer Sevice

Ordered oil for delivery the following week but ran out (my fault). I phoned Johnston’s at 8 o’clock that evening and left a message. By 8 o’clock the following morning a tanker turned up and hot water is back!
That is an impressive level of customer service!

Panic order

I had to make a panic order for some oil on Friday at 16:45, as unbeknown to me my watchmen meter had packed it in, leaving me with no oil in the tank. We had snow on Friday (yes, I live in Scotland!) and I paid for earliest available delivery - thinking (and hoping) that meant Monday. I accepted it was going to be a VERY cold weekend, but… Chic to the rescue!!! Just got my delivery and the radiators are on full blast! Chic was so lovely and genuinely seemed to care that I’d ran out. He was able to give me some really usefully tips on how to monitor and manage my oil consumption, and was just an awesome dude. THANK YOU CHIC!!
