I have given four stars purely as our…

I have given four stars purely as our original booked penthouse apartment had been double booked. However Joviy sent Simeon round within 20min of us arriving and they offered us alternative accommodation which was definitely 6 stars - to be fair the dealt with the problem efficiently and kindly - although double booking rooms should really never happen !!

Booked a room in Edinburgh,on the day…

Booked a room in Edinburgh,on the day of my travels,serious disruption on LNER meant I missed my flight to Edinburgh,I contacted the hotel explained that through no fault of my own I was not going to get there.I was hoping for a sympathetic ear,but,no,they would NOT refund or allow me to book another date,very sad.If you book through this company,make sure you can get there,as they won't help.I doubt I will use them again.Shame.Very sad.My little break ruined.Oh well.🥺

They don't care tenants

They're sending you an email to inspect the house. However they are doing whatever they want in your room. They created a house visit on May 11th not to visit my room. After that they painted all the walls in my room and left everything in the middle of the room. Also, they didn't open any windows or anything. Because of having exam I came back home so late and I haven't found a chance to ventilate my room. I have an allergy to stanches and I cannot sleep for my exam. The most surprising thing is their replies about the situation (without apologising) "It'll disappear soon" It's been 24 hours the room smells

Orwell Cottage

Orwell Cottage is a quirky property with a great location with free parking onsite. However, the whole property, where we had first stayed last year, is in need of a facelift, as is the kitchen equipment (the chopping board is actively dangerous) and the WiFi (which has been corrupted). Odd provision of dishwasher tablets given lack of same but towels insufficient for an extended stay.

A pleasant experience with smooth transition

Had a pleasant experience, migrating from a different country. The team were extremely helpful and efficient with problem solving. Very accommodating to the requests and requirements for the documentation. They made the whole process much easier and convenient. Gracie to Elysa. She is super efficient and very responsive to all the issues I had regarding documentation. Kudos to her and her dedication.

Disgusting hygiene standards

Disgusting hygiene standards - avoid
I checked in yesterday to the property and was immediately met with a wall covered in what appears to be months, if not years, worth of accumulated grease, hair product and bodily residue behind the headboard. The staining was so severe it was clearly visible the moment I walked in.
When I contacted Joivy, they acknowledged the issue but told me a cleaner would come "probably next week" - meaning I am expected to stay in these conditions for days after checking in. There was no apology, no urgency, and no offer of compensation.

Stayed here for our wedding

Stayed here for our wedding, and it was amazing to have such a big space for me and all the bridesmaids to get ready in. The only issue was that there was construction going on the whole time we were there which we only became aware of when we got there. Team were quick to help replace a kettle that wasn't working.

The place itself was beautiful but..

The place itself was beautiful. However, multiple things were broken (Window, Heater in Bathroom, coffee machine), we had to wait in front of the door as we had no way of opening it, were not able to reach anyone at Joivy and were lucky that a cleaner came by that would let us talk to his boss who then was able to contact Joivy. The door had no way of locking it which felt pretty unsafe (although nothing happened).
Since we were not in the apartment during daytime, we didn't want any people there fixing something while we were gone but would have appreciated some kind of reimbursment for the broken things / inconvenience, given the price of the place.

The staircase was extremely dirty

The staircase was extremely dirty. The kitchen was not well equipped (no pots available). Heating was not working. The worst… the apartment was not clean. We found socks etc under the bed.

Communication was positive. We were supplied with pots in a short amount of time.

Nice appartement, but difficulty with booking

The appartment was nice and met expectations. We had a problem with the booking because it is mandatory to upload an ID including Selfie, this in our opinion creates an unnecessary privacy risk. You cannot collect your key without doing this. For me the last time to book with this organization. The staff was very rude when I mentioned this!
