Joivy customer support experience

Been a tenant with joivy for last 4 years, and still continued, this time they slightly dissapointed me with an extremely slow response when i got my new house in february and it wasnt cleaned properly, and had some maintenance issues. Ended up going to their office thrice, but at the end an executive named Gaia helped me speed up the process and get things done before i moved in finally. The 3 star is for the delay and the time i lost behind this, inspite of using their whatsapp chat and informing about the problems, but still having to had gone to their office, but additionally I hope they improve their service response time, and provide a more efficient customer support. But special mention to Gaia for speeding up the process and helping me sort the issue immediately.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with DoveVivo (Joivy) in Milan.

From the very first day I moved in, the apartment was in extremely poor hygienic condition. The common areas were dirty, there was a strong unpleasant smell, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and even the freezer was not usable. There were also signs of possible insect presence.

What was most frustrating is that the apartment looked completely different from the pictures shown on the app, which appeared clean and well-maintained. The reality was the opposite.

I reported these issues multiple times through the official channels, but no effective action was taken. I was initially told that cleaning was the responsibility of the tenants, which I found unacceptable given the condition of the apartment upon arrival.

Because of these conditions, I was forced to leave the apartment after just a few days, as it was not suitable for living. I even experienced health issues that I believe were related to the hygiene of the place.

Despite this, the company is now asking me to pay additional costs, including rent for a period I did not even stay and penalties for early termination.

Overall, I would strongly advise future tenants to be very careful and not rely solely on the photos shown in the listing.

Following your report, we immediately addressed the situation by sending a formal notice to the apartment management team and conducting an on-site inspection the next day. As confirmed during our visit, the overall condition of the property was very good and consistent with the standards shown in the listing.
While we understand that you noted some minor issues upon arrival, these did not affect the general habitability of the apartment nor justify a penalty-free cancellation. We also offered an alternative relocation solution, which unfortunately was declined.
As per the terms and conditions, the reservation was therefore cancelled with the applicable penalty.
We remain committed to maintaining high standards and appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve our service.

Joivy was very responsive at each step, and also they do have human contact, there were several nunaced situations that the team were very attentive to, the application makes paying rent very easy, and informative- i would recommend staying in one of joviy's apartments or rooms.

It`s right in front of the tram station to the old town and the airport bus station. The automatic check-in using app worked fine.

Was great&such a spacious flat

Was great&such a spacious flat. Living Room & bedroom. But the bathtub in the toilet was not enough. Very small& not sufficient for one person.

Please build a shower&remove the bathtub.

Failed

Nice apartment and okay location but forget the service. They don’t give you the check in details till last minute keeping Travellers on edge. then we reported that sheets and pillow cases were not changed. They asked for pictures ! And did nothing to bring clean sheets. We asked for one duvet and an extra pillow. None were supplied. No lockers to put your baggage in after checkout at 10 am. Internet is either non existant or very slow. Furthermore the beds are extremely uncomfortable with poor quality mattresses It is the most uncomfortable stay I’ve had ever

Perfect place to visit Edimburg

The stay was fantastic, very cosy place, spacious and quiet room, very comfortable bed and possibility in the common areas to enjoy unlimited hot drinks, tea and additional towel change service. Discreet and kind staff. Perfect place for those arriving from the airport, the tram stop is in front of the building that houses the structure and you can continue the ride to visit the city centre. Nearby there are pubs, restaurants and supermarkets, lively neighbourhood, but quiet at night. Everything is perfect!

Spacious and Luxurious - a home away from home!

I'm giving this accommodation 5 stars based on how spacious and luxurious it was for the price. I loved that my daughter and I had our own bedrooms and en-suites (plenty of hangers in closets!), and a huge kitchen and living area that felt like a second home. It's near EVERYTHING you'd want to see in Edinburgh, and right above the best Scottish meal (Makar's Mash) and fish n chips (Whiski Rooms) you can imagine. I did have issues with communication prior to the visit (no responses to my emails requesting instructions), and being American on my first trip abroad with no rental car, it was a bit hectic to obtain the keys. Thankfully, I booked my transportation with Joivy, so the driver helped me get to the management office, then to the hotel Ibis to collect the keys, and dropped us off right at the door. I highly recommend their transportation service. One last note, bring washcloths or a loofah, because only towels and hand towels are provided. If I return to Scotland, I will definitely re-book here!

London - Marybelone Stay

Great location with easy access into the home. Train lines, restaurants, and pubs all in walking distance. The home is well spaced and very comfortable for family of 6. Internet, facilities, and appliances work and modern. Only issue was with having hot water on 1 day of our stay. Not sure why?
