My son finally found an apprenticeship via this site, it took a while, he applied for many positions and a lot of companies did not even respond, a simple no would have been great instead of leaving a poor kid hanging. There should really be system where this doesn't happen so applicants can move on instead of waiting around for a response that never arrives, which for a person keen on looking for employment can be disheartening. But I guess this isn't Jora's fault but Seek, as that's where the Jora search took him. Anyway, got there in the end I suppose.

As an employer - the worst job site we have used
As an employer, reviewing candidates and seeing analytics on each applicant is paramount. Being able to send rejection emails out of the software is a must too. Jora offers none of these and user interface is awful. We had 28 applications in 14 days and only one of them was even close to someone we would consider. The video feature applicants can use is the only positive. Will not use again.

Wants way too much personal information
Found a listing on Jora from another aggregator. Clicked the Quick Apply button to find that Quick actually means you must be registered. Ok so I sign up. Wait for confirmation email, click. Alright back to listing. Oh so now it says you need to have a profile to apply for jobs. Ok... Now it will not let me create a profile without giving my mobile number and ADDRESS. What ludicrous overreach. Their justification for requiring address is for job locality and only the suburb is displayed on profile. So? People drive across town every single day for work, virtually no one works near home. You do not need this information and requiring people share it with you in order to even use your site is dumb. Has no one learned from all the databreaches in the last few years? The more PII you store, the bigger the target you are and it's only a matter of time, if not when, before it's leaked. I deleted my account because the service is useless if you don't want to give them your address.
