The medication has helped so much. Additionally, whenever I was in need if assistance, they provided advice within 24 hours. The treatment is reasonably priced, the refills are reliable and the staff are very helpful.

I’ve tried Joyous, MindBloom, and Innerwell

Joyous is the worst company out there for at-home Ketamine treatment. It isn’t about the Ketamine treatment itself, low-dose is best for me actually.
It’s the company that’s an issue

Would you like to wonder every month if it’ll come in?
Would you like to not be able to cancel easily?
Would you like customer service from AI?
Not being able to call them if there are issues?
Would you want your treatment automated by AI?
Would like 3+ intakes appointments because your provider wasn’t open about why? Wild goose chance
Week out appointments at any given time?

Was a great experience until I tried to cancel the service after two years. IMPOSSIBLE to do that. Their AI is relentlessly incompetent and obnoxious.
The "care team" doesn't read their own messages. Avoid this venture capital driven monster at all costs!

I was excited to find an alternative therapy that was beneficial, flexible and most importantly temporary, should I choose.

I wanted to try something different that was an aid instead of a permanent medicine I was prescribed every day for the rest of my life.

Ketamine (in addition to in-person therapy sessions) helped me through some difficult thought patterns and ultimately helped me grow and break out of some of my stressful and distracting mental habits.

I feel more freedom and flexibility in my thoughts and actions than I have in 38 years.

Talk to someone, try different therapy or medication and keep going, you will get better little by little!

After experience of taking multiple antidepressants which had terrible side effects and numbed me out, I had the intuition to try something new…and I’m so glad that I tried Joyous! Joyous helped me continue to be the sensitive, feeling person that I am, and to connect with my own inner creative power to make a change. For the past couple years, I have been navigating so much uprooting change in my life, and feeling unsure and overwhelmed about my path forward. Then, the medication from Joyous consistently helped me to find joy amidst depression and gradually helped lower my anxiety, gently prompting me to use that energy in expression and creativity, and to get to see the insides of my mind through SO much journaling. Many of my sessions were spent filling pages and pages of a notebook which helped to really clear away a lot of mental obstacles that I kept feeling bogged down by. In essence, I definitely understand from personal felt somatic experience how ketamine can help create new neural pathways. And after arriving at a more stable place through making a series of different choices along the way, I see a clearer path forward and more concrete goals. I’ve decided to take a break for two months to assess. Hopefully someone will be inspired by my experience.

Ketamine has changed my life. I have much more initiative, much less depressed or anxious. I have tried many other mods for many years without any success. I appreciate the unique way that Joyous sends roaches monthly. I do not need to take off any time for anything. Infect ketamine roaches that joyous sends me enables me to work and do other tasks much easier. I have heard of ketamine infusions, starvation, but the problem I would have is having to take time off work and other responsibilities, find and or pay someone to pick me up and drive me home. I also like joyous in that this is a continuous process of providing me the roaches now for 2 years. I have looked at other ketamine roach programs such as Mindbloom.and decided against them. They are too structured for me, require me to take time out of my day to meditate, listen, and whatever. I do not have the time required to do that and ketamine best helps me when I have to do important responsibilities ND not just sit and do nothing except for thinking of the effects of ketamine. Also joyous costs the least overall of any providers! I believe Joyous knows much better what they are doing vs other providers of ketamine!

It didn't help as much with the anexity

I owe my life to Joyous! I had debilitating depression and anxiety, I was ready to permanently clock out but my gut told me to just try this once, give it a shot and I'm so glad I did! I got my life back, I'm finally getting rid of the doomey gloom feeling I woke up to every single day, now I recommend this to everyone I think could benefit from it and several have tried it and it's working for them too! I do not reccommend this service. I spoke with a medical professional by Zoom call and desribed some anxiety and sleep deprivation that resulted from it. They gave me a perscription and I started taking it. No real change, except for the feeling of being on drugs every night before bed. Eventually had to stop because I couldnt dedicate 2-3 hours a day to being on drugs. When I made a second appointment to cancel, the medical nurse practitioner I spoke to said I should have never been given the perscription in the first place because my symptoms didn't align with anythign treatable by Ketamine. That's malpractice! How was I given a schedualed drug to take with almost no oversight except daily text messages?! They cancled my service and then charged me for a perscriiption refill....which I never got and explicitly requested not to recieve. They then refused to refund me. They are basically just shady internet drug dealers operating through a loophole. I do hope it helps some people but be careful what actions you take based on people selling drugs online.
update: i got a refund for the most recent charge (allegedly) after posting this review.... do with that information what you will.

Only needed short therapy and I felt great after just one session.

Taking the Ketamine and setting intentions while doing meditations works. You have to be completely open and honest for it to work. It's not easy to surrender but it's worth it... digging up the dirt you have buried so deep takes time. Be patient and kind.

Overall I had a very positive experience with Joyous, BUT I attribute my success to the medication plus my dedication to doing the mental work to improve. This is not a program you can expect to just take a medication and you’ll be ‘fixed’. The medication is a tool to help you make whatever progress you need in your own healing journey. For me, that included a lot of self-reflection, journaling, art, and movement therapy in addition to taking the medication. I was able to process a LOT of past trauma and get over some big humps that I’d been dealing with my whole life. Once that progress was apparent though, I felt very stagnant and the affects on my major depressive disorder outside trauma were not sustained. From reading more about Ketamine therapy, this is a common finding. It’s not generally a permanent fix. The Joyous providers themselves were merely there to do your appointment and prescribe the medication. There is no therapy and it is very hands-off, so I feel that you must be self-motivated and disciplined to be successful in this. The patient portal does have resources and a community forum, but again, very self-guided.

This company is a scam—they will do their best to not refill your medication whilst continuing to charge you monthly, and will not refund you! They tried sending me to two separate providers today, and still at the end of the day I have no refill available. My first medications were sent early June, and I have been out for a long time, they do not care. Will they ever refill it? Who knows! But they sure love charging me in the mean time! This company is shady and does not treat its patients professionally. Don’t waste your time and money, quit now, and use another company I’m not kidding they are so awful!!

I can’t recommend this service enough … I have tried every medication under the sun for my treatment resistant depression and this made a difference more than anything with no big side effects. I had a wonderful practitioner who was kind understanding and caring. It is also extremely affordable compared to other treatments.

Using low dose ketamine while journaling at home for the last seven months has been a game changer for my mental health. I’ve been able to process traumatic events and heavy emotions. I went from severe anxiety to mild. While I don’t know that I’ll ever be cured (I’m a solid type A personality), I know most days are good days and the bad ones are manageable.

they found a compound lab where ketamine gets shipped from. def Predatory business practices, shipping issues, billing issues...they shut down my ability to access my portal so, it's been emails and FB messenger where they promise to ' pass it on to their team" - not recommended for mental health. I've been fighting for my refund since april - it's july 8.

No response from the many offers to contact their ' care team' crickets.

Convenient process and it does help how you feel

Been on the program for four months. I’m not sure if I think I feel better or not. My issue really has to do with dosage and their mailing practices. I live in the Las Vegas area. In the shade, it’s over 110 daily during the summer much less my black mailbox that is in direct sunlight all day. I track the shipment this time initially telling me it will take seven days for delivery from the east coast to Nevada. Well, it came early and because I wasn’t expecting it until Monday I was out of town. The product not packed in ice sat in a very hot mailbox for two days. They were melted once again (my second shipment that was melted). Question: How in the world do I report what milligram I’m taking when the product is so melted in the packaging that some squares have barely anything in them? Isn’t this supposed to be precise measurements.

I started to feel major improvements in my depression within a couple of weeks. After about 2 months, I felt a tremendous relief in my anxiety symptoms!

I’ve been in treatment with Joyous for 16 months using ketamine troches, and it has helped me tremendously. I was struggling with grief and depression, and traditional SSRIs left me feeling tired, unlike myself, or came with difficult side effects. Ketamine has been a different experience no side effects, and a noticeable lift in my mood and clarity. It also helped me manage anxiety during some very challenging college courses. I’m truly grateful for this program and the support it’s provided me through a difficult time.
