Hell Hath No Fury.................

UDATE 16/2/19: BOUGHT THE COVERS FOR THE HOLES LEFT ON MY WINDOW...£3.00 for 1,000 FROM SCREWFIX, ALL FITTED, Took All of 10 minutes to fit.. Bad customer service for the sake of £3.00

I am sharing my experience of this company. We had used them before regarding fitting a new unit and they were the first company we thought of when we decided to replace all the units at the front of our house. However there was a small misunderstanding regarding finishing off which under normal circumstances I would have written off and not really thought much of. There was some tiny holes left exposed in the frame of the windows, from the old units being removed, which we had asked to be covered. We were prepared to do it ourselves if necessary but felt they could be done more professionally by the glaziers. But it had been overlooked or forgotten, when I mentioned it to the fitter. However as I had not had the actual conversation with the staff regarding this, I suggested that my partner would contact them about it, which he did at 1pm later that day, after the units had been fitted.
Then imagine my surprise, when at 4pm/4.30 ish, a man, whom I had never met before, came striding up to my door, and asked me 'what all this was about, with these buttons?'
His attitude was aggressive and angry. There had been no dispute regarding the fitting. I had not complained with anyone, I was more than happy with the work, i just wanted these holes covered, as there would be obvious water ingress if they were left as they were. But, even as I kept explaining that he would need to speak with my partner, he kept standing there, almost accusing me of making it up.
To be clear, you can get something to fix the issue at B&Q for about £2.00 for 20, we were going to do that, but when the place was initially measured they had told my partner they would take care of it!
I did not appreciate being questioned in the manner that I was, I was not party to the conversation in question. It actually turned out that the 'gentleman' who had turned up unannounced on my doorstep did not know that there had been more than 2 occasions when his staff had visited our house, separate to his visit, in regard to the units being fitted, and prior to them being fitted. As at one point, he made issue that he had been on the initial visit, and on no occasion had these 'buttons' been mentioned. When I said that there had been two other visited, he was taken aback.
Regardless, WE WILL NOT BE USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN!, which is sad as we have a house in a nearby village which needs new windows now, and we would have used them, prior to this situation.
Further to that, I would advise extreme caution with anyone wanting to use them, as angry men turning up at houses unannounced, interrogating vulnerable women on their own and behaving in the manner to which i was subjected, which is not good company policy. If you do use them, I would suggest getting all the info in writing to avoid dispute, as they did say they would take care of it, and they didnt! Needless to say we have told them to FORGET IT NOW!
