I bought a nice expensive leather electric recliner from Jr in tigard and the motor went out maybe 30 days after I bought it. It's been 6 months and still haven't received a new motor. I call and and get redirected to maintenence. Supposedly it's on the way? How long does it take. I bought my last recliner there.i used to trust this place for furniture. i will look other places after this whole debacle.. overall not happy.. I bought my bed and a recliner over the years. I used to buy all my mattresses
I used to buy all my mattresses, chairs and couches (plus accessories) from JR, but since they've changed people and policies, etc. (and this was BEFORE the pandemic), I have not purchased anything in the last 3 years from them, nor will I in the future. 'Nuff said
DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED Warranty coverage
Do not buy the extended coverage. They will not honor any claims. If something is wearing out and you don't notice it immediately they will use that to get out of fixing it. I reported it right away but JR Furniture took two weeks to get me the number for the warranty provider. The number provide was wrong after another week I received the correct number but because the total time was more than a month they would not fix my expensive love seat.
Negative review
If I could give a negative review I would. The whole transaction was horrible my couches ripped from the seam. Then you guys give me hell to get it fix. Your people came and fixed it and weeks later then it ripped again and is still ripped. I tried over and over to get in contact with them guy who fixed the couch couldn’t reach him. Management at jr furniture is horrible no help at all. I bought my previous couches at mor furniture they lasted 15 years. I went to you guys because I moved from where mor was located and gave you guys a try worse decisions ever. I will be going back to mor and make sure people know to never come to your business ever.

Sorry guys but you lost my business I really liked it there but after my last experience I will never return. Bought a $4000 sectional and payed to have it installed and it never did get put all the way together me and my whole family couldn’t do it the guys that jr furniture subcontracts with the just put a couple together and push the rest up to it called to complain the old run around is what I got. Sold the couch shopped somewhere else. That’s all it takes.

I would have given them 1 except the delivery guys were great. I bought a furniture set online in the midst of the pandemic at their "we have in stock" sale. They didn't follow up with me on a delivery time, they told me they would reach out to me when delivery could be arranged. The customer service was a convoluted mess that left my family sitting on lawn chairs in my living room for almost 3 months.
Just a mess from start to finish
Just a mess from start to finish. Ordered us back ordered furniture, overcharged us and had to refund the difference, claimed 6-8 weeks, ended up being 6-8 months, manager ignored us, never returned calls, spoke to district manager and he apologized half heartedly and was no help, went back to being ignored, finally got a manager who cared but couldn’t do anything since order was so screwed up. Order finally arrived, was fine. Not worth the wait. Never again.
I will never buy furniture here again
I will never buy furniture here again. This was my third time using them. The other two times worked out great. Their communication was poor, they delivered the wrong furniture, I had to pick up my own furniture after months of delays.
