I ordered a pair of earings that were pricy but worth it

I ordered a pair of earings that were over 50 quid and only gold plated. I ummmmeddd and arreeeddd and in the end thought try it. I can return if needs be.

They arrived prety much immediately, in a lovely bag and when I opened the earings... I could have wept over how beautiful they were. Im not kidding. They make me feel a similar feeling as to what I get when I look at my kids. I want everything off the website now.

My experience with Julie Child…

My experience with Julie Child Jewellery has been disappointing. I purchased a necklace that, given its price, I expected to be of good quality. However, when I received it, I found a piece that looks like it came from a bargain store: poor finishes, a terrible-quality chain, and a charm with no appeal whatsoever.
Additionally, I had to pay 35 euros in customs fees, which made the order even more expensive. When I saw how low-quality the product was, I decided to contact customer service to request a return. I asked for at least a goodwill gesture so I could send the package back without additional costs, considering I had already paid customs fees. Their response was blunt: they can’t do anything because they are a “small business” and everything is stated in their terms and conditions.
I understand that return policies exist, but when a product is so overpriced for such poor quality, the least they could do is show some flexibility or empathy toward the customer. I do not recommend this store at all.

6 weeks for delivery of not great quality items.

Ordered 3 rings in black Friday sale, website stated Royal mail 48 hours tracked delivery from moment purchase. Didn't get tracking information after a few days so emailed and was told they were being sent that week. The next week still no tracking so contacted again and was told there was a delay due to black Friday and it was "really busy" but would be shipped that week. 2 weeks later contacted again and told that due to "warehouse issues" they had not been shipped, but would be that week. Received shipping notification for 2/3 rings just before Christmas so contacted them about the missing ring. No response until January where I was told that one of the rings that had apparently been shipped was now oversold and unavailable so I would be refunded and was assured that the other 2 rings would be shipped that week. The next week I contacted them again to ask to cancel my order and recieve a refund where they apologised and stated that they would be with me by the end of the week and they couldnt cancel the order as it had been shipped.

The rings arrived but were all scuffed and not of great quality at all. Glad I didn't pay full price. Would have sent them back but have no confidence that I would be refunded for them if returned.

The only positive about the experience was that I was refunded 3 days after the company stated I would be.

Horrendous quality jewellery

Horrendous quality jewellery! Ordered a lovely looking starfish ring with a star-shaped gem in the middle, which fell out on first wear. I complained and the team reluctantly sent me a new ring which, after perhaps 5-6 wears, discoloured and the gem fell out again.

Arrived knotted and very disappointing

Very expensive piece of jewellery arrived and the chain was so knotted I couldn't untangle it no matter how hard I tried. It was also way smaller than I expected too. Really disappointing product. Not what I would expect for nearly a £100 necklace, it's going back.

Terrible service and ignore your messages.

I ordered to necklaces from this company and when they arrived they were tangled and knotted as they had been bundled into silk bag with no packaging to stop the chains arriving in a tangled mess.

They also only provided me with one box for 2 separate children's necklaces.

I reached out to them on Instagram to which they said they would send another box however heard nothing back. When chasing this they continued to read my messages and purposely ignore them.

Faulty earrings and horrible customer assistance

I bought a pair of earrings from them. They will not come off. I contacted customer service and explained that I had asked several people for help and nobody could get them off either, I even tried pliers. In the end I needed to go to get them cut off. CUT OFF. Here is what they said in response to this and my questions abt how to get them off(this was before I just had to get them cut off because I wanted to make sure it wasn't something I could fix myself):

"Hmm, how strange! They should really just come off easily with a tug - like other huggies. So sorry that you're experiencing this!

Soooooo um that should pretty much tell you enough about this company. It sucks cuz I got stuff from them before and despite being overpriced for the quality they were really cute. Don't love that I recieved clearly faulty earrings and they won't even after me a refund or partial refund or basically anything else other than that's strange. ugh :(.

Avoid, customer service extremely poor!

I never received my items, and the company have ignored my communication. The only real communication I’ve had is them saying Royal Mail have rejected the claim, even though it is NOT my signature on the “delivery confirmation”. I just want my money back, as I have still not received my items, and I am still being ignored. It’s incredibly rude that they don’t even have the decency to respond to me, or at least attempt to make it right. I would not recommend and I would never purchase again.

Expensive, but rings are super cute!

So, the website states they ship within 2/3 days, but it had been 4 days with no word, and I was starting to worry. I emailed them and got a prompt response apologising and saying they'd get my item shipped out that day, upgrading me to next-day delivery free of charge - Great! Except, that day ended, and still no shipping info, plus it was a Friday, and they don't do business at weekends. On Monday morning, I emailed again and got no response. By Tuesday evening, I was psyching myself up to contact Paypal for my money back when I finally got a dispatch email (but no reply to my email). I was not upgraded to next-day delivery as their initial(/only) response said, but I paid for 48 hours, and it arrived in that, so it is what it is. The ring (and the free ring) is gorgeous, so despite a few issues, I am happy with my order. I can't speak for how they hold up over time, but they do seem better quality than the cheap counterparts I've seen in such places like Primark, so that's something at least.

Overall, my experience has me torn. It took over a week to ship; the customer service experience wasn't great, but, in the end, I received my order 11 days after payment and LOVE it. Currently unsure if I'd order again, but I'm so broke it's a non-issue right now. Take from this review what you will but know that now that my orders finally arrived safely, my biggest disappointment is that I didn't receive one of those super cute seashell ring boxes, lol! (Hm, maybe I will have to order again in the future and cross my fingers for one...)

EDIT: I have since had a reply to my second email apologising and explaining they had a high volume of orders. Seeing as they had already posted my order (and it had arrived), this was unnecessary but appreciated, and definitely makes me more inclined to order from them again in the near future!
