Bristol - Poor Experience

Hi, there was a massive queue upon arrival, 3 on the tills but only one booking people in, the other two looked busy but certainly weren't helping the main girl who was a bit overwhelmed. Our 2:00pm booking ended up being 2:25 by the time we got in.

There were too many 30+ (age) men throwing their own kids around and being a bit too energetic, causing a lot of near-misses with my kids and others, they were big fellas and could have really done some damage if landing on the smaller kids.

Didn't see anyone tell them off at any time, seemed very un-managed by the staff on the main activity area. There were plenty of knocks, a few kids slammed into another but there was no-one there to help.

Toilets were grim, expensive for what it is, we weren't offered any extra time due to the wait.

Kids left thinking it was a pretty poor experience as did I.

Won't be back, there's better around, stiff competition. Feels like a huge money grab rather than a professional setup.

Poor communication and scammers!

I bought tickets for the pre opening at Jumpin Hemel, it seemed like a good deal at £15 for three people. However, when I tried to book it said that my code wasn't available. I emailed them via the website but got no response! I then received an email from them saying that my membership had expired. I've tried to call them several times but it just rings out!!! I am now out of pocket and have not been able to contact anyone. My boys are so disappointed as am I. Awful!!!

Highly recommended

We visited today Hemel Hempstead one as part of a home-educated group and had a fantastic experience. The inflatable park is well designed, spacious, and offers plenty to keep children of all ages happily entertained. The facilities were clean and well maintained throughout.

A special thank-you to all the staff , they were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and polite. It’s rare to find such a young team with such impressive manners and professionalism, and they truly made the visit even more enjoyable.

Highly recommended

Very abrupt and rude staff

Very abrupt and rude staff, both understanding at all and the managers attitude is absolutely appalling. To act this way towards 3-6 year old children I do not find acceptable

Disgusted

Disgusted! I went to this badly ran establishment none of the workers had an interest in the children on the inflatables. During my session I was told to leave with my 6 year old daughter for an unfair dismissal I had 5 months ago. Gross misconduct apparently. This Lydia girl wasn’t even at the company then. She took it upon herself to ruin a 6 year olds Sunday. When I was dismissed nobody said a word when I came in the 4/5 times with my daughter. Power trip at its finest.

I’ve never received a payslip or a p60 from this company. I’ve sent emails and been blocked. Terrible service

Funny fact is that me and the other person in question are totally fine it’s called “banter” not gross misconduct.

We’ve had multiple talks in person and not.
Laughs and fist bumps

Hate the place but my daughter loves it. I will continue to take her there as it makes her happy. But for any staff please be careful they will drop you like a sack of potatoes for next to nothing , so she cut my daughters session shirt by a whole hour I asked for a refund. Lydia said “ I can get you something from the cafe” what planet does she live on? Why would I want a pizza or a bottle of coke when you’ve ruined my daughters day.

Have a word with yourself.

Staff very rude and useless

Be prepared food wise when you come to this establishment, they claim they can provide food but that is not the case. Due to employees ordering from the kitchens themselves they then make the customers wait which is a bit odd especially if you’ve ordered before them.

The waiting time for their food is over an hour and then once you get it, it’s cold and some of it isn’t even fully cooked so it can cause some serious health risks due to them not being organised what so ever. It’s appalling so be sure to bring your own food because that way you actually get to eat and your reassured it’s fully prepared where it won’t cause you severe food poisoning.

Very poor customer service.

I called a few days before attending to ask if they had any discounts or promotions for a family of 4 and was told they did not. We then attended and to my surprise, saw a poster which stated that 10am arrivals would receive entrance for £6 (half price essentially), which we would gladly have taken if we’d known. Instead, we’d arrived at lunchtime and paid £12 each.

I raised a complaint with Jumpin Fun in Derby regarding their pricing structure and offers, the lack of knowledge on the phone when I called and that there was no mention of the offer on the website.

After a back and forth with the manager (Nikola) who had what I can only describe as a ‘computer says no’ approach, and needless to say, despite acknowledging the confusion caused, offered no compensation or discount from our next entry. Pretty disappointing and short sited…

Not inclusive

⚠️ WARNING. To all disabled people or parents of disabled children thinking of attending Jumpin Fun Inflatable Park Bristol ⚠️

To say I am appalled is an understatement. We booked our session online. I booked for three children and 1 carer as my youngest daughter is disabled and in a wheelchair. ♿️ the website confirmed it was accessible. Which suited our family.

On your website it states that “inclusivity is at the heart of what [you] do” and that you believe in creating an environment that is “inclusive where everyone can come together to enjoy a fantastic day out”.

THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE.

We arrived and received our bands watched the safety briefing and I then asked a member of staff where the lift was to access the viewing platform. I was told there was no lift. I asked how I was supposed to access the viewing platform or the cafe since no seating is available downstairs. I was told that someone might be able to help carry the wheelchair upstairs. I carried my child upstairs and the manager kindly carried the wheelchair. Once my daughter had acclimatised to the environment and was ready to join in I had to wait for the manager to become available again before we could come down. This caused us to miss part of our session.

Whilst I was waiting I saw countless people struggling with carrying prams up and down the stairs. One mother had to carry the pram and this meant she could not hold her toddlers hand and he fell down the stairs. Another disabled young person had to navigate the stairs alone and his mother had to carry a heavy wheelchair.

After bouncing for a while my daughter needed a pad change and I asked where the disabled toilet was. I was told it was UPSTAIRS. 🤯 the disabled toilet was upstairs when there was no lift. My daughter uncomfortably went without.

At the end of our session, the group we were with wanted to go to the cafe, I couldn’t see the manager so I had to leave two of the children with the other adults to go to the cafe while I took my disabled daughter to boots to get some food and drink. We sat outside of ‘jumping fun’, without the company of our friends waiting for them to finish. My friends felt awful that we were separated and I felt like my daughter and I were forced to be isolated by her disability at a venue that should have been inclusive as advertised.

I complained whilst there and the manger was apologetic although he told me…

🪑 there should have been seating downstairs but it hadn’t arrived. (If you aren’t ready to open then don’t).

🚾 he denied that the only disabled toilet was upstairs as we “should have used the staff one” ?!?!?! There was no signage for this and none of the staff we spoke to knew to advise this.

🛜 i advised him that the misleading information about access upstairs should be amended and I and pleased to see that since our session it has been. But the lack of wheelchair access is not ok.

There used to be a lift in the store before jumpin fun took over but the manager confirmed it had been removed with no plan to replace. I feel this would be a reasonable adjustment to allow access for more disabled users and therefore I feel this venue violates the disability equality act of 2010.

I fail to see how our experience was acceptable.

A great deal of change needs to happen both physically and in terms of mind set if a company feels that this level of discrimination and accessibility is adequate.

Very Average

Very Average, let’s start with the good bits, it’s a good inflatable bounce area, that’s it, no really that’s it, I booked a childrens birthday party for my 6 year old and 12 of his class mates, arrived a 30 minutes early to put the cake etc in the “Party Room” but alas it was still being used by another group,so the cake and decorations etc had to be left on a table in the middle of the mayhem that was going on, we greeted the guests as they came in and they were issued with wristbands, it was extremely busy and the staff honestly looked like they didn’t want to be there with an attitude to match, one of the female staff was trying to explain the way things ran but she couldn’t be heard because it was extremely bus, so the guests just had to try and ask staff where to go and what to do etc, the bouncing bit the kids enjoyed and after an hour everyone in my sons group was called to the “Party Room” the table had paper plates and cups laid out with a light shining on a broken disco ball for decoration, luckily the Mrs had some party bags party poppers and bits and bobs to make it look remotely like a party, the kids were hungry by now and eventually the “food” came along, some very bland pizza and cold chips, biscuits and Squash, basically pretty rubbish food served by pretty rubbish staff, the real cherry on top was one of the mums who had brought one of my sons classmates to the “party” had a toddler with her, the staff put a call out for me over the tannoy and told me that because the mum had the toddler with her she would have to pay for the kid and herself, another £19.00! I was less than impressed with this and after spending around £300.00 on this “party” to be charged extra for a mum and toddler was a bit to much, I payed it but I’ve decided not to recommend Jumping “fun” to friends and family and I hope that others think twice about booking a “party” here, they have them on a rota and try and get as many as they can through the doors as they can, I know it’s a business but they have no interest in customer service, the food was poor, the staff were poor and it was not very clean either, please think twice about booking here, it’s a shambles

Expensive day out with the KIDS!

I must strongly caution against considering Jumping Fun as a destination for your children. Despite its enticing name, the reality of this place is far from enjoyable. The hygiene standards are appalling, with staff who seem more preoccupied with their personal agendas and socializing among themselves than ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. I frequently found myself assisting other children who were stuck or needed help due to small accidents or found them self lost and couldnt find the exit.

The parking situation is nothing short of a scam. Parents are being exploited with exorbitant fines ranging from £60 to £100. While Jumping Fun denies any association with Excel Parking Company, they conveniently installed machines that seemingly hike up the jumping fun admission cost.

Overall, my experience was thoroughly disappointing, and I have no intention of returning. I eagerly await the day when this establishment is no longer a blight on Derby City Center.

Worst party ever

I wish I had looked at party reviews. Just back from my daughter's party at Burgess Hill.

I don't think I've ever experienced such a shambolic event, and I've been doing parties for nearly 3 decades.

We were left hanging around and not acknowledged for a fair amount of time. We were then shown to a ridiculously small area to wait, whilst the kids played.
Not once did a member of staff check in and I had to go multiple times to find someone.
1. To ask if the kids could have drinks as they were baking hot- surely this should have been obvious.
2. To ask if they could have cups to drink from and then was questioned why they needed cups (well unless they were going to share drinking direct from the jugs...) and no refill were offered.
3. To see if they had the correct details.
4. To then give them everyone's names as they had no idea who was in the building.
5. To hunt down all the parents to make sure the waivers were signed as the staff hadn't checked this, again not knowing who was in the building.

Once eventually shown to the party room, we found it was far too small with nowhere for adults, but the staff had vanished.
Cold hotdogs and cold burnt chips showed up with slimey strawberries and blueberries and a small amount of cucumber (that counted as salad). A small platter containing 4 cupcakes to share with multiple children and biscuits which meant each child couldn't have one of each, causing upset within the kids.

Again no refills of the drinks were offered and not once did a member of staff check in on us. I had to hunt down someone for a knife for a cake and to give it back again- safety first, surely?

Not one single time did our party host (I think her name was Ellie) check in on us.

Each time I went to the reception, staff ignored me and were either busy playing with each others hair (our host inc) or rudely eye rolling at other customers asking things. Absolutely disgraceful.

No one bothered to let us know when the party was over and as we left, we left through a door with 6 member of staff (ah ha there you are) all smoking and swearing. Disgusting.

Utterly disgusted and disappointed at paying the best part of £300 for this awful experience.

I would absolutely not recommend this place for a party. Experience, staff and service were diabolical.

AVOID BOOKING A PARTY HERE!

AVOID BOOKING A PARTY HERE!
We booked a well-anticipated birthday party at Jump In Burgess Hill for our daughter’s birthday at 10am on Sunday 7th Jan, and felt the need to email regarding the hugely disappointing and poor experience we have had.

With the party being just under £300, we were expecting to have a well-organised, fun and special experience. One of the perks as a parent of having your party elsewhere and paying a bit more is the luxury of having someone organise the experience for you. Unfortunately from the off it was all a complete shambles. There was absolutely no organisation on our arrival and we were left in the foyer with all our party gear AND guests whilst all your staff avoided eye contact with us - it genuinely seemed like no one knew what on earth they were supposed to be doing.
We were told a party host would come to get us but no one did and we stood there ignored until my husband went to find a manager. We asked a ‘party host’ if we could put our cake and balloons in the room, and she had no idea which room we were in (we then since found out the manager had not even allocated the rooms ahead of the party in advance.)

After the safety briefing (which was actually broken for ten mins as had not been set up properly) we finally were taken to a party table which was small and with 4 chairs. Four chairs for a huge party with about 24 adults! They would not let us enter a party room as they had not allocated them. The staff on the front desk were so slow checking people in that for a 10am party, our guests didn’t make it through to the actual inflatable until 10:30, despite arriving early AND completing waivers in advance. They were all really flustered and stressed on arrival which was embarrassing for us.

There was loads of food missing and we were only delivered sandwiches and crisps. We had to go and physically find a staff member to ask them to bring the rest of the food out. At 12pm when we left, the next party were waiting at the door of our room to come in but the room was still a mess and not cleared with not a party host in sight. Goodness knows what time they actually got in!

For a party that was just short of £300, we felt it was a completely unacceptable experience. There seemed to be no one in charge, and lots of staff who had no idea what they were doing. Not ONE member of staff proactively spoke to us, said hello, greeted us or gave us any info at all. We are so disappointed and despite our daughter loving jump in, would never recommend the party experience to anyone.

Anything for a quick buck.

Charge 30p for the use of a cup for drinking water. Disingenuous money grab. Long-standing customer now lost. Another customer next me me raised his eyebrows in disgust and just walked away.

Wonderful place, definitely recommend for a morning of fun!

I went to Jumpin Fun in Derby with a friend and our 2 toddlers yesterday. It was brilliant! Space to park easily even though it wasn't their car park, got straight into a quick briefing and then we could go play. The inflatable area was a lot bigger than we expected with so much for the kids to do. They loved the ball pit and we took a break halfway through to pop up to the cafe for some chips and muffins.

Staff were friendly and professional but our visit was made special by Tracey who really made an effort with our children and chatted with us too. It makes such a difference when someone else seems interested in your child, both to your experience and theirs, and they loved having her attention when they caught her eye. Thanks so much Tracey for making it so great!
