absolutely the worst thing to happen to our wallet

don't fall for these manipulative scammers. they go door to door promising lower bills and that is a blatant LIE. they got us good and we paid the heafty price of aprox $70 MORE each month for distribution in an apt that used very little energy. we don't own any energy draining appliances such as tvs, big computers, etc. and any time we were away, we would turn everything completely off. still our bill kept on jumping far past what it should have even been with our current provider. if that wasnt enough, the policy was that after a month of their service, we could disconnect free of charge which again was a lie. in the end, if some guy comes knocking, turn their tails back to whence they came! this experience far surpassed "unacceptable". they got us good, so don't let them get YOU the way they got us... please... your wallet will thank you. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!

ripped off

When I called to find out a lower electric rate than TXU I asked about Cirro. I have neighbors who have Cirro and like it. the young man told me he could get a lower rate with Just Energy so i went with it. Now I find out that just Energy is charging more than I was told. I can't deal with changing now but will go to Cirro after Christmas. I don't like being lied to and ripped off.

OMG Stay away.

Do not let the low rates fool you. This is my 3rd month in a 12 month contract and I can not wait to get out. The website is a disaster. The first month bill was only for 10 days. They charged me a 9.95 fee because it was under 2000 KW. I had to call in and get that taken off. I tried to pay the bill on line but I could not do that either. So I get a 4.95 to make a payment on the phone. The next month was the same thing. Finally I got into their website and set up auto pay and received an email confirmation that all was fine. The next month get a disconnect notice. I called and they said the auto could not be set up on line and disregard the email notification. I had to pay all the fees (late fee, disconnect fee and they are suppose to credit it next month) I am sure I will have to make another phone call on that next month. The contract on the auto pay says they can cancel at any time, I asked how they notified you if they cancel, They don't. You will get another late fee and disconnect. Stay away.

WARNING "JUST ENERGY" SCAM

I got a visit from Emilio Woolsey and his supervisor Luke, the Just Energy sales reps on May 15th 2013. I switched that day from Direct Energy to Just Energy believing that it would be cheaper and signed a 5 year contract. The sales reps told me that I had 10 days after receiving my first bill to cancel my contract without paying an exit fee. This way I can compare bills and make a decision. The statement date of my first bill was July 8th 2013 and received it shortly after. My first bill was $99.11 which is about average for the summer months. When I received my second bill statement date Aug 12th 2013 and received it shortly after it was $183.45 (almost double) so I cancelled right away. Seems like a SCAM to me to send half the bill at first to make me think I am getting a fair price. My 3rd and final bill I just got was $942.59. What a rip off and a easy way for Just Energy to SCAM people.
