6 months without resolution, damaged property

If I could give zero stars, I would.

JW Murray were contracted via Response Services to perform a clearly scoped set of works to strip and dry my property as part of "restoration" after I suffered major storm damage to my flat in Jan 2025.

As it stands today, the restoration works are incomplete and lack of communication from JW Murray to surveyors and insurance claim handlers have meant that works stopped in August 2025 with nothing further happening as of 6 months later.

They reply to emails and calls with rafts of documents that do not address the questions being asked, and they will not complete the works until further payment is approved. However, they will not submit the report and information required to approve further payment.

I have substantial evidence of their failure to complete the works as laid out in the Scope of Works, as well as of their failure to reply to requests in a timely fashion - often weeks of chasing on a daily basis are required.

Their inaction and poor performance of the works has left me with a flat which continues to be uninhabitable, with no view as to when works will resume, and I am currently out of pocket £2000 with another £1400 due to leave my account soon as insurance will not issue any payments while this remains unresolved.

Additionally, they did not put any protective measures in place when removing lathe and plaster walls and ceilings, nor did the move the contents of those rooms to a protected rooom - thus, a great deal of my contents have been damaged by plaster dust owing to their negligence. Again, I have evidence of this. And they do not respond.
