They were generally responsive to my questions. But the initial link sent to me for connecting to UPS to track my package did not work, because the link had 18 characters, but the UPS site responded I need to enter a 25-character tracking number. However, after I explained this, they were quick to send me a full link that worked. So, I appreciate their follow-up action.

Shruti Box!
The shruti box we purchased is very well made with amazingly clear tone! I gave it to my wife for her birthday and she teared up when she started playing it because it immediately made her feel grounded and regulated. Kala Kendar did a great job keeping me updated about the progress of my order. Id definitely recommend this business to someone in the market for an instrument!

The reason I'm only giving 1 star is…
The reason I'm only giving 1 star is because I ordered a 6.5 dayan but received a 6.25. I made it very clear in my conversations with the assistants that the dayan head must be 6.5 ins. Perhaps it's the warehouse that got it wrong. Nevertheless it is still a very good tabla and I probably would have given 4 or 5 stars if it wasn't for the error.

Have you tried to contact our Customer support for the issue you’re having with the Tabla? We offer complimentary customer support for most of our musical instruments; shipped directly by us.
All of our instruments are setup by us in our shop by real musicians; there are no huge warehouses with robots filling your order. Please check the markings on the side of the drum shell, take another measurement of your drum head; we generally don't make mistakes like what your describing, and if its our mistake, we will make it right.
The difference purchasing from a local music shop and big box online store; our business is run by musicians for other musicians. I would suggest if you’re having an issue with your instrument; please come to us first so we may assist and try and resolve the problem you’re having.
