Kale and Damson Reviews 

Kale and Damson are generally very good, but I have had problems with ordering herbs. The basil is clearly heavily refrigerated. The last two bunches I ordered were blackened and unusable. The driver told my wife he would try to replace them that day, but nothing happened. I telephoned and they said they would refund the cost. They didn't. I telephone again today, a week later, when they did refund the money. I have also once had problems when ordering large sacks of potatoes. Instead a a bag of mised sizes, which I usually got, they were all very small. Twice they delivered rotting packets of garlic, and it was a real effort to get a refund. I see they no longer sell those packed peeled garlic cloves. I really appreciate the fresh yeast, although that was once left off due to availability. Most produce is very good, some other a bit 'tired'. As I say, generally very good but inconsistent in my experience.

Always on time and easy to order and have delivered. So good not to have to fight for slots.
But the bread is TERRIBLE, old and stale and hard. Has to be thrown away. Vegetables not always fresh, limp and discoloured sometimes.

We have used Kale & Damson regularly during the pandemic and have never been disappointed. Good fresh produce delivered on time. What's there not to enjoy.

Have been using K&D for nearly a year now and they have always provided a friendly delivery service and arrived in the confirmed delivery window. Produce is great quality and they carry a good range of local produce.

Excellent service, high quality products, delivered on time as promised, delivery staff friendly and perfect attitude. They deserve every success but put pressure on us since we are keen to keep using our local green grocer so we balance the two. Best wishes to all over Christmas and the new year.

Have been using Kale and Damson for several months now and remain extremely pleased with their service. The quality of their produce is very good and items are well packed for delivery. The service is very reliable, and the ability to order exactly what you want consistently within 48 hours is currently unrivalled! The website is far easier to navigate than those of the main grocery stores, and they have resolved all minor issues (an occasional item not being available on day of delivery) swiftly and with full, no-quibble, refunds. All this from a friendly local company who are a pleasure to deal with.

Like other reviewers our family has been using Kale and Damson since early lockdown. The quality of the fruit, vegetables and meat is far better than from the supermarkets, and this is largely what’s kept us ordering from them every week since then! We’ve had nothing to complain about in the service either.

K&D have an easy online ordering system, and their delivery service is reliable. Their products are generally excellent quality.

We have been so delighted to find your service and have kept up regularly having deliveries since the early weeks of the first lock-down. We can't recommend your company too highly. I would give six stars if I could. I have been using K&D since the first lockdown and won’t be changing. Great selection, always top quality and delivered to the door with no hassle. Local produce and a great way to reduce food miles.

Started using since Covid when supermarket slots vanished, and never stopped since! :) Now I transitioned to fresh produce from K&D regularly.
Drivers are always friendly and on time, ofcourse expect to pay a little more than average but well worth it! Food comes in large white boxes with minimal packaging which is good, and very rarely any bruising to food. If there was a damaged or missing item when I called customer service they were helpful and I always got the refund very quickly :) The website is still not the best as you need to get used to how it works and sometimes you can really struggle to edit your basket which is frustrating, but it's already better than early 2020, now you can choose a preferred delivery date well in advance, but unlike Tesco for example, you can not edit your order once it's placed, and you get charged on the day you order, not the day you receive the food, just be aware of that. Very thankful they have paypal, please keep that K&D!

We have been using Kale & Damson to supply our fruit and veg (and more) since the 1st UK lockdown. Their produce is of the highest standard and their customer service excellent. On two occasions where there very minor concerns with our order, they responded quickly to an email, with a swift (full) refund on the day with no arguments or concerns. Their drivers are friendly and helpful and always stop a few moments (socially distanced of course) for a cheery word. The range of produce available seems to be increasing all the time and I have been pleased to buy cheese, milk and bread from them as well as fruit and veg.

They are slightly more expensive for some things than the big supermarkets but the quality of goods and prompt service and home delivery more than make up for that. I recommend them wholeheartedly and hope to continue to purchase from them well into the future.

Such a great range produce, such great quality! Swapped totally from getting fruit and veg from the supermarket. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We discovered Kale &Damson during lockdown and we have been delighted with their excellent service. The delivery drivers are cheerful and helpful and on the only occasion I needed to contact the office they were very helpful. We prefer to have a choice unlike veg boxes and we like the variety. The quality is excellent and products store well. We will continue to use K&D even when life gets back to “normal”

This has been an excellent service. The quality of the products is very high, and the deliveries are reliable, courteous, and distanced. This is one of those companies that adjusted very quickly once this strange new situation emerged.

We started having Kale and Damson deliveries early on in Lockdown. The quality is way beyond anything you would get from any supermarket and the shelf life is at least double. They taste like home grown but without the effort. We were delighted to discover Kale & Damson in early April And wouldn’t ever now go anywhere else. The vegetables, the superb bread and excellent meat and cheeses eliminates the need for anything else.
