To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. We recognise we may not catch everything, and you can flag anything you think we may have missed. Read more

Karakoram Venture is a Skardu-based adventure travel company, run by local mountain professionals born and raised in the heart of Pakistan's Karakoram. We specialise in trekking, mountaineering and cultural tours across Gilgit-Baltistan — including the legendary K2 Base Camp trek, the K2 Base Camp & Gondogoro La circuit, the Snow Lake & Hispar La trek, and tours through the Hunza and Skardu valleys. As a government-licensed operator with our own experienced guides, porters and logistics team, we handle everything from Central Karakoram National Park permits and trekking visas to flights, camping and safety — so you can focus on the mountains. Because we're local to the K2 gateway, we offer genuine on-the-ground expertise, fair wages for our crew, and support that bigger overseas resellers simply can't match. We've guided hundreds of trekkers and travellers from around the world, earning a 4.9-star rating across our reviews. Whether you're attempting one of the world's hardest treks, chasing cherry blossoms in spring, or exploring Deosai and the Baltistan valleys, our trips are designed around safety, authenticity and unforgettable experiences. Read our reviews to hear from travellers who've stood at the foot of K2 with us — then get in touch to plan your own Karakoram adventure.
