Customer service is a joke

I received my order of a 5×2 cage and a replacement stand. As I put the cage together I noticed that I didn't have enough pieces. I reached out to customer service and have yet to have a resolution. I requested replacement pieces to make the cage the size I paid for and to return the stand. I have emailed them at least 20 times and now have requested to speak with management and get the run around. They needed pictures which I provided, then asked all these other questions that I answered and then after about 12 back and forth emails they still haven't provided tracking for my replacement grids nor have they provided a return label. I am furious that I've been emailing back and forth. This is unacceptable.

False advertising

False advertising - promo code came this morning great 15% off today only! excitedly filled my troller (already spend 1000s of pounds with kavee) promo didn’t work!! :(

Asked about promo to be told times out it only hit my email this am - disappointed with this false advertising spam in my email - shame no one would help me.

Ordered a 2x6 cage with a stand with 6…

Ordered a 2x6 cage with a stand with 6 clear acrylic panels.
First the cage came up with 2 grids less!
Luckily I had some grids from my previous cage I used, but at the time was moving home so didn't have time to contact them back to ask for the missing grids.
They should triple check before sending an order to avoid issues like that!
Expensive cage and flimsy if I have to move from one room to the other falls apart even with following their set up video and adding zip ties.
Also not happy with the acrylic panels, 4 or my 6 panels already chipped at the top so can't put the connectors at the top.
And don't want to spend another 48 pounds for a set of 4 panels...
Don't buy the storage box felts they got, they are not practical and sit wonky and not like the pictures on the website and quality is bad.
Really amazed at things they sell that they haven't actually tested themselves if they work or not.
As other people mention as well I find the coroplast really low. The coroplast should be raised up a bit more. The nibble guards are ridiculously expensive don't buy them! I just buy a cheap box of A4 spine bars 3 mm from Amazon and they are perfect as nibble guard. You can get them in a pack of 50 for 14 pounds which is way cheaper than 20 pounds for only 10!

Customer service exceptional

Customer service exceptional, and I really mean exceptional. Phoned up for order as was desperate due to my own stupidity in forgetting to order. A person called Leigh who was brilliant, not only sorted my order out, but arranged for it to be next day delivery, incredible absolutely incredible. Leigh is a credit and an example in how customer service should operate. Many thanks Leigh.

Avoid Acrylic Panels

Customer service is great however the product needs improvement. The acrylic panels keep breaking in the corners which is unacceptable. Avoid buying these panels if your cage is on a stand and has a lid

The simple design makes them easy to slot within any guinea pig cage design, and it’s well suited for baby guinea pigs that are over 8 weeks old - as it reduces the chances of them getting stuck or making a great escape. Just remember to remove the protective film from each side before assembly!

Overall a good cage just flimsy

Overall the Cage is very good, my guinea pigs are loving the space, however very flimsy the grids come apart. When i emailed the Kavee team about the issue and provided pictures and videos proof they just said i need to use more strength to put them together with use of pliers. Still to this day the cage came apart every time i cleaned it or my piggies “popcorned” so i decided to purchase some heavy duty zip ties which fixed the problem.

Didn’t revive enough!!!

I ordered a 4x2 double cage. It was supposed to have 38 grids… I got 35. It was supposed to have 2 pieces of coroplast… I got 1. I got a pathetic amount of zip ties too. Do yourself a favour and buy cheap grids off Amazon and coroplast from a DIY shop. Save your money.

Missing chloroplast base our fault !!!

We ordered a 4 x 2 kavee cage with loft. It arrived and we set up and were very happy with it in terms of build and quality. The only exception was that we were missing the chloroplast base.
Upon contacting the customer support sadly they dismissed our claim that we didn't receive it and refused to remedy the situation which leaves us with £164 of cage which is not useable. We are shocked at this lack of desire to make good on the packing mistake and will not be recommending this supplier in future.

Won’t Honor Returns, They Lie.

I’m within the 14 day time frame but these shady people are waiting for that to be up. Claiming they’re “waiting” for my return shipping label.

Perhaps I’ll just sue since I have the money to and email evidence?

Frauds.

If you’re not frauds then reply to my email and send my return label like you guys said you would.

Ridiculous to say the least.

Wonderful items, disappointing postal

Incredibly happy with the purchase, but a little disappointed the items came not only seperatly both via two differnat courier services. There for they didnt come together. Purposely aordered everything at once expecting them to come the same day in the same box.

Updated review. 2nd cage for extention much more sturdy

Update...
I decided to extend my girls cage so I ordered a 3x2 and I actually found it so much more sturdy. IV added it to the original 4x2 into and L shape and it looks fantastic the space is brilliant and it's now so sturdy .

Downsides...
*Very flimsy comes apart at the slightest movement...
* The loft makes cleaning harder work than it should because it doesn't move once in place.
*Lid doesn't line up no matter what IV tried so it looks wonky.
*Cheap plastic tray on bottom and loft/ramp the guinea pigs have started nibbling it despite having plenty of other bits to chew and keep them busy .

Upsides ..
*My piggies are loving the ramp and the size
*Can extend and despite it being flimsy I do like it can extend and have clear panels

Absolutely amazing, highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! We purchased the white/transparent 6x2 cage with stand, loft and lid for our 4 boys and they are in love with their new home! The size is amazing as they have lots of playing space, as well as plenty of places to put hiding spots. The rainbow fleece liners are fantastic! The hay sticks to them a little, but I've yet to find anything hay doesn't stick to, so that's no issue! All I have to do is shake their mess into a black bag, put into a wash bag on a 40 wash, hang up for an hour and they are clean and dry! Super absorbant and super comfy for the boys little feet. The cube storage underneath is sooo handy for storing their bits and keeping their space tidy. Customer service throughout was fantastic also. Couldn't recommend enough! Completely worth the price as would not find this level of home in a standard pet shop (you can fit 4 standard pets at home cages within this one easily) Will definitely be buying more accessories and expanding with additional panels in the future! Thank you ever so much!

Poor quality, expensive, dreadful customer service!

Where to start…
I purchased from this company as it advertises as a UK company - I live in UK, so support British etc.

The item took a little longer to arrive than expected, but when it did it was disappointing!!

I brought the self-build as I wanted a barrier in my large summerhouse set up to keep the piggies bedding contained, I wanted it to be an irregular shape and the connectors looked like you could place them at different angles other than 90 degrees, you can’t.

The cost is astonishing for the quality, it’s just basically pre-cut Perspex panels and plastic connectors, that can be purchased from Amazon at a quarter of the price!!

It costs approx £10 per panel, so 8 is expensive yet when I went to return it (more on that later), the insurance cost for KVee of the whole package showed it cost £10.40 materials for all 8 panels and 16 connectors, so that might guide you to the quality and overpriced nature.

When trying to return it, it has to be returned via fed-ex as it comes from and is returned to France!! My nearest Fed ex collection point is an hour away, I asked if I could use Royal Mail, the answer was no!! So it’s not made or despatched in Britain, as suggested.

None of this is made clear BEFORE you buy. It only cost £7 to return (they deduct this of your refund), but since it’s not fit for purpose, they should cover cost of return - they don’t!!

The customer care is awful, lots of automated responses telling you they will answer in five days, followed by bombardment of emails wanting you to rate customer service, and discounted sales marketing - all very automated and not the image the company website portrays!!
You then get sent a video of the ten most common errors in installation, suggesting the issues you have are not putting it together correctly!!

You also get hundreds of marketing emails!!!

An aggressive marketing strategy that really annoys me, particularly when you are waiting for the email to confirm you can return as it’s hard to locate the correct email!

You only get 14 days to return, nine days after saying I wanted to return they had still not sent the return slips and I had to chase. This was followed by more ‘rate our customer care experience’ emails!!

I’ve now got to try to leave work early to drive probably a 90 min round trip to post this back via Fed-ex!

I would definitely not recommend!
They are cheap and nasty, not fit for purpose and there are products out there that are less hassle to buy, and return that do the same job, but for a quarter of the price! Their website implores this female founded local home grown UK business, so you imagine you are getting a product with a caring business, you are not. It looks like they’ve grown so big that they are now no longer local, UK or care!

Appalling company

Agree a week my cage still hasn't been despatched despite me chasing it twice, despite gayranteed delivery within 5 days. The products are incredibly overpriced and they board your inbox with emails. Only reason I ordered from them was because I wanted the perspex panels. I'm going to cancel my order. Don't buy from these sharks.

Bad Sales Aftercare

Not great

Purchased the 6x2 rabbit cage. Delivery took quite a long time. Packaged well. It took some time to put together and not all the panels stay clicked in once others are added to the connectors (yes, I watched the video, they all 'clicked in to place'). The roof doesn't line up, shifts daily to the left and once open just falls on your head constantly.
The nibble guards are virtually impossible to put on to the corregated base and if a part of that base is thicker, you're looking at a lot of swearing, cut fingers and getting annoyed. Gave up the first night but my bun got straight in to chewing off and eating a corner so the next day I had to grin and bear it and put them all on. I bought some extras and was disgusted to see they are basically plastic paper binders. Save yourself some money and go to WHSmith and buy a pack there.
Overall, I think the product is very flimsy for the money which after receiving it feel is very overpriced for what it is. I don't think it would kill them to provide some instructions. I appreciate saving the planet and using a YouTube video can help with this but it is inconvenient when building something like this to try and follow, pause, rewind etc. Tip for future videos, use white grids not black. It's all just a blur to watch 🙄.
On the plus side it looks nice for an indoor cage and it's one of the very few out there that offer something of this size, I just doubt how long it will last. Product has left me disappointed and frustrated.

Flimsy, unsafe and expensive!

I'd seen Guinea pig content creators advertising these... all I can say is they must have been well paid. I decided to start my set up over again so I bought a full cage with clear acrylic panels, fleece, stand, lid and extra chew guards.
The hutch is flimsy and doesn't stay together properly.
The acrylic panels don't fit well and are so thin that several cracked.
The chew guards are so difficult to put onto the correx that I sliced my thumb open on one and you often have to just give up because it won't work.
The only thing I was happy with was the fleece but you can get that anywhere so just avoid this company. I wish I'd stayed with my set up I created myself!

I have spent £150 on a parcel that is…

I have spent £150 on a parcel that is still in Belgium over a month after purchase!! Do not buy from this company, I have seen so many people say the exact same as what is happening to me. Seems like automated emails and nothing is being done, my parcel even went to USA at one point then back to Belgium! They obviously don't care about their customers and won't give refund or investigate into FedEx. Not a well organised company at all, very disappointed

Shipping nightmare

Similar to other reviews, one part of my order arrived without issue. The other part (two bases) is stuck in customs clearance in Belgium before entering the UK. If I had known they were shipping from the EU I wouldn’t have bothered. Minimal effort from Kavee to deal with the customs delay and refusal to refund shipping despite the order now being delayed three days (likely to be at least a week at this stage). I’ve spent a silly amount of time speaking to FedEx but if this issue keeps happening it’s likely Kavee is messing up the needed paperwork. Tired of waiting.
