Delivery was smooth, but...

Delivery was smooth, but after I registered that the delivered table had a defect on the paint of extension part things got complicated. Their sense of service is not good.

I discovered the defect on the table a little more than month after delivery.

They agreed that it was a defect in the paint (I had sent them a picture of the extension part) and they would send a new part free of charge.

But they still insisted that I should pay for the return of the item due to their terms my discovery of the error was too late - but the manufacturer of the table would then if they accepted the defect refund me the shipping expenses??

But diddn´t Keihome already accept the error on the tables extension!?

How can they a accept the table has a defect in the paint but still insist that I have to pay for the returnshipping, when they have already approved it as a defect? - and maybe I will get the money back if the manufacturer accepts the error

This really does not make sense - is favorable conditions that I have to pay for the return extension myself?

There is no logic in the service department of Keihome

We must point out that:
The customer received the product on 28.07.2016 and he claimed that the table had a defect on 25/09/2106, almost 60 days later.
This was completely out of time for the defect complaint, adding that the defect is not hidden but clearly visible to a normal control. Despite this, we decided, according with the manufacturer’s decision, to collect the table extension as well and to give for free the new one to the customer.
We proposed to the customer to contribute with the transport costs, which will be returned if the manufacturer says that the defect was not caused by the production.
We cannot understand why the customer doesn’t want to accept these favorable conditions, being also far beyond the legal deadline.
