Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 485 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers found the product to be disgusting, describing it as tasting like cardboard, slimy, or like eating twigs. People were particularly disappointed with the new recipe, noting a drastic change in taste and texture compared to the original, which they had enjoyed for many years. Reviewers also reported that the product no longer absorbed milk, remaining crunchy and dry, and often floating in the bowl. Consumers felt that the quality had significantly decreased, with some comparing it to cheaper brands or even inedible items. Many expressed frustration that the company had prioritized profit over product quality and customer satisfaction, leading to a substandard item at a premium price. As a result, numerous customers stated they would no longer purchase the product and had switched to alternative brands, often supermarket own-brands, which they found to be better and more affordable.

New Allbran recipe ...Disgusting move by Kelloggs .

Disgusting move by Kelloggs .. not only have you delivered shrinkflation, you have added tasteflation !! .. without doubt this change is to save money dressed up as "To avoid Food waste" ... who exactly was complaining before ? I have been using Allbran for 30 years and feel my loyalty has been totally betrayed. If something is getting expensive to make, put the prices up and let the customers decide if they want to pay it. Don't hide behind lies and replace with a cheap alternative. I tried the new recipe and it was a pasty chalky disgusting experience. I will never buy it again.

Massive step backwards

Massive step backwards. The bigger cruchier sticks try to dig holes in your gums; it's difficult to get on the spoon and doesn't even taste as nice never mind better!
My advice would be to check fibre and sugar content v oppositoin. I have moved to either Aldi or Waitrose Bran Flakes at a fraction of the cost and improved taste and ease of use

Albran ruined

Albran ruined. They say that the new shredded cardboard saves on waste being thrown away ie the dust left at the end. Well that was the best bit I don't think anyone threw the dust away. There is waste now because I've jut thrown a box full away into cardboard recycling

A massive downgrade

The new 'improved' recipe for All Bran is a fundamental mistake. The new formulation does not absorb milk and stays crunchy and dry. I'm sure that sounds great on paper but that's not what All Bran is. Original All Bran was great at absorbing the milk and becoming soft; that's what people liked about it. One can only assume that changing the fundamental design of All Bran is more financially advantageous for Kellogs.
In a nutshell, it now tastes like undercooked pasta. I won't be buying again until the recipe is changed back.

Disappointed in new recipe.

Have had all bran for breakfast for many years and was sceptical when it was announced a change in production etc. The new All Bran is awful both in taste and texture. I have thrown the rest of the box in the bin, I just cannot eat it.

Dreadful stuff

LIke most food manufacturers Kelloggs, to cut costs ,have ruined this product . Gone is that nutty flavour and crispy texture which reduced to a hearty mush with hot milk . Now we have sickly sweet wooden sticks which refuse to break down however hot the milk is. (Have they added araldite to the recipe?) Pack went straight in the bin.

Kellooggs

Kellooggs. Please take note of the feedback & bring back old All Bran. The New Recipe All bran is absolutely disgusting. I actually nearly choked on it today. It’s solid. It doesn’t melt like the normal one. It tastes awful
Thoroughly terrible.

New "Fibre Plus" All Bran...yuck!!!

The "new" All Bran "Fiber Plus" is the most disgusting thing I've ever put into my mouth! Like little twigs that goes slimy when milk is added. I've used All Bran for 30 years as it helped my 'bowel problem' but now it's absolutely useless to me. This change of product is another example of the Yankee owners putting profits above people's health by making the cereal cheaper to produce. Once again, trying to fix something that wasn't broken! My whole box of that disgusting, "new" All Bran went straight into the trash bin. Wake up Kelloggs! Hopefully you'll lose billions of £$€ on such folly...

Enough is enough

I have enjoyed eating the original Kelloggs All Bran for about 40yrs and have now been forced into looking for an alternative brand. How a company can change a winning cereal recipe into one that becomes totally inedible is mind boggling!!….Kelloggs I have only two words to describe this new cereal…ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!!!🤢

Oh no what did you do

Oh no what did you do? I have been eating all bran since my teens and go to a lot of trouble to find it in the Netherlands. You have ruined it. The only person that is happy with the change is my personal trainer. He wanted me to give it up for something richer in protein, you have made that very easy!

All Bran Ruined

Devastated that kelloggs are still pushing the awful "high fibre" all bran on customers when nearly everyone who has tried it finds it virtually inedible and completely inferior to the original cereal in taste and texture. The new all bran is sold in a very similar package to the old one, which i feel misleads customers into thinking thry are about to tuck into something very similar to the original - thereby adding to the shock and disappointment of the 1st mouthful. I hasten to add that perseverance doesnt improve the experience. I have been enjoying this cereal for morw than 50 years, ny parents ate it, my children like it.... this is a terrible move by kelloggs... and shame on them for ignoring the views of their loyal customers. If original all bran doesnt return i fully expect this line to be discontinued as the target audience all hate this awful new version 😭😩🤮

Inedible, not the same experience! Won't buy again

My experience is very much the same as others! I've been eating the original for years. Bought a box of All Bran (I thought).......went to eat some and thought this doesn't look the same!
Doesn't look as fibrous or the same! Doesn't taste the same! Doesn't have same texture or same experience to eat!
I will be looking for my receipt and returning the box!
I won't buy again and will look for an alternative!

Looking into Kellogg's reasoning behind the change which is to save energy in their manufacturing facility and to save on food waste.
Kellogg's have always had funny ideas!

Terrible new All Bran recipe

I have never written into a forum like this before, but the new All Bran recipe is disgusting - it is crunchy and tasteless, weirdly tasting of Cheerios not like All Bran is supposed to taste at all. I will never buy it again, until they revert to the old recipe. How sad that Kelloggs have put profit before people.

If I'd wanted CARBOARD I'd have eaten the BOX

Kellogg's new recipe All Bran is absolutely disgusting, nothing like the original tried it for 4 days couldn't stomach any more. Now I'm left with 2 unopened boxes and 1 started I'd put the unopened boxes in the charity food bin at the store but I don't think the recipient of them would thank me for it. It's that bad. Anyone rating this product higher than one star is probably being paid to do so.

It's just horrible

It's just horrible. I thought the new recipe was optional and spent weeks trying to find All Bran original. No such luck. You have lost my business. Been buying supermarket own brands. Not as good but acceptable.
