Terrible experience at grand opening. Came as a group of friends, assumed we were all one family, only given one goody bag amongst the 4 of us whilst other families were given two/ three each.

Disappointing experience at Merry Hill…

Disappointing experience at Merry Hill Kenji store

Visited the Merry Hill Kenji store this evening to discuss a faulty item we purchased, A drinks cup that turned out to be defective. Unfortunately, the staff were unwilling to help and showed little interest in resolving the issue. The manager even referred to what looked like a store guidebook, but there was no apology or effort to offer a solution.

We were simply told that items can’t be returned after 28 days, even though this wasn’t a return, it was a faulty product. There’s no clear faulty goods policy on the receipt or in the guidebook they checked. Instead, we were just given an email address to contact and the manager refused to provide his name so we could reference who we spoke to.

Overall, the lack of customer service and accountability was really disappointing

Visited the Trafford store today with my daughter. She had picked something up that was clearly priced and tried to charge me more at the till. Wouldn’t honour the price and the manager even went as far to sneakily move the item elsewhere and make out I was lying about it.

Faulty Product but still useable

I bought the Chita Sheep mug and it didn't come with the small crowns attached to the spoon and mug lid, overall fairly disappointed because i bought this for a bday present and cannot return it in time since i drove an hour to get to the shopping centre, aswell the lines were very long and the staff seemed very overworked from the amount of customers. This was the one in Trafford btw xx

Odd Socks, No Reply

Occasionally by socks for my wife here, normally fine. One pair came apart at the seams. Who keeps receipts for socks!?

People at the store fob you off with the support email address. The support address is simply a no-reply (tried two different Gmail addresses).

Appalling customer service (and their designs are so derivative).

Chemicals on teddies?!?

I went into a store to buy a teddy for my baby which I gave to her while walking over to buy it.
Within 30 seconds of playing with it she started screaming, her eye was swelling up and her face had a red rash all over!
She had an allergic reaction but to what she’s not allergic to the materials used on this teddy she has loads at home.
I emailed to company to inform them after I informed hmv and they think cleaning products were sprayed on it! I’ve had no update on the situation when all I want to know is what caused my child to be in pain for days!

Horrendous

We always visit Kenji. The kids love it. We won’t be visiting again. Our latest visit involved a long queue as there was a restriction on entry despite the shop not looking full. No other stores in the shopping precinct were imposing this. I asked the Kenji staff member controlling the queue if they had changed their store Covid policy as weeks before they had not been monitoring entry. She said yes it was for Covid safety. I then waited outside the shop whilst my wife and kids continued to queue and then went in the store to shop. Whilst waiting I was approached by the shopping centre security who questioned why I was outside the shop and if I would move away as they’d received a complaint I was hassling the store staff. I explained what happened, particularly the fact my family was in store shopping and they left without wishing me to move on. So, quite simply you dare not ask staff about why you are waiting and further if you do they call security even if you do so politely. Well, guess who’s not shopping here again ever!

Do not buy their phone cases!

Do not buy their phone cases!! Brought a phone case from there and within a week it destroyed the sides and corners of my iPhone, their cases are way too sharp and now I have to pay for a screen replacement, no protection for your phone at all so now my screen is cracked. If you want a half decent phone case and products, don’t even bother with this place.

Excellent service!

I bought recently from this website a lovely gift for my wife to celebrate her birthday. It was delivered promptly and the goods was exactly the same as advertised on the website. I will strongly recommend this website to anyone who wants to shop online.
