While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

PANYNJ actually brags about two of the world’s worst airports: LGA and EWR. Only the Port Authority could spend billions to unveil even worse versions of their terrible airports. EWR Term A once a laughing stock because you needed to take a train from the train now requires you to take a train from the train and a bus and then to walk 3/4 of a mile to your gate. LGA-a commuter airport-used to be easily accessed from the curb allowing people to jump onto flights. Who needs a steakhouse @ a commuter terminal? New LGA which still has no rail link requires a gargantuan walk to your gate. Great in a country where more people than ever have mobility issues. Both airports do provide good choices for those who want to spend $40 for breakfast or $18 for two slices of bread called a sandwich. Tear these white elephants down and build TRANSIT terminals based on customers needs. While PA claims the terminals win “awards” the actual stakeholders- travelers and employees-give them a deafening Bronx cheer.
After arriving perfectly in time from (the original) Amsterdam we were forced to step right into a queue of more then 3.000 people! The complete arrivals hall was filled with tired waiting people. Why? Because JFK customs think they have to take fingerprints, your photo and check passports personally, that a man has to do this, but then have fár too little employees available to do so. In the original Amsterdam (the founders of NY), Schiphol Airport has machines to check you out. Really! Automatic computers, scanners and camera's, you know? Masses of them. So hardly any line, quick and easy entry through security. In the land of Google and Apple, they stíll do this manually. And have 3.000 people wait in line like sheep for 3 hours. Welcome to New York!
It's a total disgrace.
We landed at JFK just yesterday. It was a long-distance international flight, and we were dead tired. We spent hours at the passport control, and then we had to wait for our luggage on the luggage claim chain. The absolute disaster was when we couldn’t find a single cab, and it was too late to get to a shuttle.
Never even been to the state and am getting tolls in the mail for a vehicle I've never owned.. total and utter stupidity, never even owned the type of vehicle in the pictures and the plates aren't from my state.. whoever trains these people is failing
I would say that 85% of my experiences at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC have been positive. I did have one or two encounters with rude ticket people, but on the whole I think the Port Authority does a pretty good job!
We took a flight from London to JFK International Airport yesterday, and I have to admit that we were not impressed by our time spent in JFK. The time from landing to going out the exit doors was 1½ hours. Yes. With the following queues:
- After we landed, our airplane was in queue for docking
- We waited in queue for customers
- We waited in queue for immigration - giving the exact same information again
- We waited for our checked in luggage.
Landed at 8:15 pm. Went out the door at 9:55. Not impressive.
