Alban rise Keswick
Worst stay ever not like the pictures
Did not send info in time before our phones had no reception in Keswick for key access and other info
Car park full of rubbish and we had to climb fire escape steep steps with luggage to enter the place no front door they were dirty slippy and steep and unsafe
There were rowdy youths in the car park late at night that damaged the front of our car
On Sunday our departure date the key safe would not close but the emergency number given was closed you had to leave a message Key safe very high up you needed to be tall to reach it .
Would not return not value for money
Decor needed touching up and some old fashioned furniture

I have never had such good service from a self catering company as I did from Keswick Cottages.

First of all I have never had such good service from a self catering company as I did from Keswick Cottages. I contacted various self catering companies asking which of their properties were available in a certain week with the specifications I listed. Some companies you could not even find a phone number or contact details for, others just referred me to their website but Keswick Cottages contacted me personally and offered me a choice of appropriate properties. Even better they knew the properties well and could discuss them in detail. Brilliant. Once we were in residence there was a problem with doors jamming shut (newly refurbished) and despite it being after office hours their emergency line was efficient and they had the problem sorted within an hour or so by a very able local tradesman. Such brilliant and caring service. As to Mill House itself where we stayed , what a perfect experience. Quietly located (no traffic noise) in lovely Braithwaite with 2 of the bedrooms looking out over the adjacent pretty stream . The whole house is light and airy and there are effectively 2 places where you can chill out in the evenings - the traditional cosy lounge but also a large sitting and dining area adjacent to the kitchen which I particularly liked as it was so bright during the day. The kitchen is well equipped although I did struggle a bit with the induction cooker . I had to look up instructions online - it would have been nice to get a short hard copy of how it operates. well equipped laundry room. Bedrooms light and airy and very comfy beds. Short walk to 2 pubs and a restaurant or two. Longer walks from the door. There was only one niggle - the sink in the en suite is so tiny you absolutely cannot wash in it (although the shower is lovely) and I had to wash in the main bathroom. I think this would be a problem if 6 people were in occupation. Otherwise . It really was perfect and I cannot remember staying in better holiday accommodation. - shame about the dreadful weather all week though!

Fabulous cottage

Fabulous cottage. Well appointed, super clean, everything you need. Well thought out for comfort and style. Great secure garden for the dogs. Lovely shower, comfy bed, great smart tv. Couldn’t ask for more and reasonably priced. Had a great stay, will be back!
