We have had an extremely disappointing experience with Keylite.
After just four years, our Keylite roof window failed and began leaking water into the property. This was not a minor issue. We had six independent professional roofers inspect the window, and every single one was in complete agreement that the window itself had failed and needed to be fully replaced. Replacement is a very expensive and disruptive job.
Despite the window being well within its 10-year warranty, Keylite repeatedly refused to honour it. We provided extensive evidence, photographs, and professional opinions, yet none of this made any difference. No matter how much proof we sent or how many qualified experts confirmed the failure, Keylite would not accept responsibility.
As a result, we now have no choice but to replace the window at our own expense, using a different brand (Velux). Paying out of pocket for something that should clearly have been covered under warranty is incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Based on our experience, the warranty offered by Keylite does not provide the reassurance you would expect. I would strongly caution anyone considering their products to think carefully about how much confidence they place in the warranty if something goes wrong.

Poor quality customer service & leaking roof window
I had 2 roof windows installed 2.5 years ago. 1 unit has been leaking for a few weeks. Their after sales team finally sent an engineer out nearly 2 weeks after the call was logged, despite their website saying work would be completed in 8 days. 2 days after the engineers visit the window was leaking again. Despite calls and personal contact 2 weeks later I have had no response.
I replaced Velux windows with these units and so sorry I did as other Velux units I have are nearly 39years in place without fault.

Thank you for your review and for raising these concerns. We’re sorry for the frustration this has caused. The original call was logged on 18/12, shortly before our scheduled holiday closure. An engineer attended on 7 January and found that the issue related to the installation, with the hood boxes having been removed and the hood not secured correctly. A re-seal was carried out at that time.
As the issue has since reoccurred, we have re-opened the job and are currently working to arrange a further visit as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this.
