I've had several sinus/upper respiratory infections over the years. Same routine. This was my first experience and was happy that the doctor immediately recognized the symptoms and knew what I needed.

I switched to K Health after using another provider who wasn’t responding to my messages. I filled out my monthly assessment a month ago, and my previous provider still hadn’t reviewed it and wasn’t refilling my prescription.
When I reached out to K Health, I was connected to an FNP immediately. She was extremely helpful and friendly. I was able to refill my medication that day, and picked it up at my pharmacy that afternoon.
This medication is an extremely important part of my care plan, and it was so frustrating to be ignored by my previous provider. I’m so grateful to K Health for being so responsive and professional! Thank you for everything!

It was easy to start and got my labs however
I have to pay again for someone to go over the results with me.

I knew I had a UTI and needed treated quickly, and my insurance listed your virtual care as an option. I thought I'd get quick treatment. It does say, "Urgent Care 24/7".
I was told I would need to give a urine sample, ok that is acceptable, it will be quick. The lab said you'd have the results same day. Next day, I finally hear from you, "we will now need to complete a urine culture to see what kind of bacteria". Ok, can I please be treated now, and if need be, you can change the treatment after the results? NO, can’t do that. Day 3, "now that we know what the bacteria is we will need to find out which antibiotic will work best". Are you kidding me? Day 4, finally, A prescription is ready. It took 4 days to get treated for a UTI. I would have been 4 days into treatment had I waiting in my doctor’s office 3 hours to see him. Never, have I had all this testing done to treat a UTI. I will not be using K Health again.

I don’t write reviews ever. In fact I think this may be my first one. But this company is horrific.
tl;dr? They stole my money, provided no value. Customer service is non-existent. Only 1 doctor working a 12 hour shift who refused to help me after waiting for hours. Expected me to have my own medical equipment in the home, and suggested I drive out to a clinic with an ear infection that had severely affected my balance. Used another service and got what I needed in 20 minutes that I couldn’t get in 5 hours from Khealth AVOID AT ALL COST.
I actually had forgotten to write this review, until K Health sent me a bill for providing absolutely no value. So thanks to them and Dr. Derric Whiteside
Essentially back in November I had a horrific ear infection. It was so bad that my equilibrium was completely thrown off. I could NOT leave my house.
So when I checked my health insurances options for two different Telehealth services I thought "Great!" Even better there was a text based version... K Health... To start off I waited for HOURS, for my doctor.
Once I explained my symptoms he very astutely and masterfully made the observation that my ear, was get this... infected.
But I should mention that he then copy and pasted an entire article on eustachian tube issues. Thanks! Just what I wanted reading material.
However, to make sure he was correct in his assumption (I guess the sinus headache, ear inflammation, lack of being able to hear out of one ear, and loss of balance wasn't enough?) He asked if I had in my possession a digital otoscope. Unfortunately I had opted for the portable MRI machine instead, and did not have in my possession a digital otoscope.
Once I made this shocking and quite frankly devastating revelation Dr. Derric Whiteside let me know that I needed to go to an urgent care, I guess I needed an actual doctor to diagnose possibly one of the most easily diagnosable afflictions in the world.
I asked if there was a chance I could be prescribed anti-biotics and was told no. Not without seeing another doctor. I had no one available to drive me, my balance was horrific. There was no way I could just drive to a clinic. It might as well be tenement to drinking and driving. Did Whiteside saw no issue in this and maintained he couldn't prescribe me anything.
When I asked why, he said that "Due to company policy he couldn't prescribe without seeing my ear internally"
I have never met a doctor to treat an anti-biotic like a class 3 narcotic, but hey first time for everything...
So not only was I spending 15$ on this visit, I was also being told I needed to go to an urgent care because this company needs you to have a digital otoscope in your possession to check on your ear health.
I was so desperate to get medication for this issue I actually made another call and just said it was a tooth issue. (Dishonest yes, but I was desperate and just annoyed at this point.)
Lo and behold folks, if you have an issue with your doctor, don't try to find someone who may actually be willing to help you. These guys are so understaffed that when I got doctor Whiteside, and asked for another physician he told me he was the ONLY DOCTOR ON FOR 12 HOURS.
I just gave up.
Luckily (Or not so luckily) I then asked for the documentation in which the policy of needing a digital otoscope was needed. Dr. Whiteside gave me a bunch of filler on how his team would send the documentation to my email in 24 hours.
So anyway cut to 10 days later (longest 24 hours I have ever experienced personally)
I finally get the documentation from a customer support representative: Shye Richardson.
It turns out this was not at all a company policy no it was in fact 100% Dr. Whiteside’s decision not to prescribe.
He then quoted the reasoning being because I had an ear ache AND a tooth ache, but wait, how could the tooth ache possibly have influenced his original decision? He had no knowledge of it originally?
So what policy was this? “The Federal policy that the general clinicians duty is to exercise clinical judgement and uphold professional standards of care does not change when the patient is “seen” by Telehealth.
Well that’s ironic, considering this was single-handily the worst, most useless clinical experience I have had.
But at this point I wasn’t going to just take a boiler plate cookie cutter response for an answer.
So I asked where is the DIRECT policy of needing a digital otoscope?
GET THIS, I was then given web pages that had all the information including my specific conditions, but when I went to the actual site they WERE NOT THERE.
So at this point I send proof of this and demand a refund, and what does Shye Richardson of K health do?
Ghosts me.
LOVELY.
I can’t leave the house, my ear is killing me, what can I do?
Use the other service my company provides for Telehealth. Get Amoxicillin prescribed in 20 minutes.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

The worst telehealth provider ever (and I have used others before with zero issues, I somehow got redirected to this from my health insurance page). I reached out with cold/flu symptoms, opted for chat since it is not easy to speak with very sore throat and cough. Not only did it cost more than others, I had to answer so many questions before the physician even showed up, take photos of my dl and myself (ok I get it). The MD then proceeded with more questions/requests: can you go measure your blood pressure, can you go measure your pulse, did you test for flu, did you test for Covid, etc. In the end he just stated I needed to go for an in person visit and that I should wear an N95 mask for that. $55 down the drain. Called another provider that I had used before and got a Tamiflu prescription, without having to drive to a doctors office or urgent care, wait for hours, making my condition worse and spreading the bug.

I needed help at 8pm. I was able to download the app, sign up, be contacted by a physician, describe my symptoms, upload a photo, have a prescription sent to my preferred pharmacy.

Prompt guidance and availability. Very good people skills. Will continue to use. Only 4 stars because a lot of what the Dr sent were copied and pasted articles, which I feel like is very impersonal versus saying hey, read up on these articles to learn more. I get they are busy though, so that’s probably why.

From the time I started inputting my info to the time that the pharmacy received my Rx, five hours had passed, the pharmacy closed, and my UTI raged on without treatment until the next day, which was too late. By then, it was worse and after five days of treatment, there was no improvement, and I had to go in.
On the day of the K Health virtual visit, I had called the pharmacy to see if they received the Rx. They hadn’t. I contacted the help on the K Health app and they told me there had been a glitch and the Rx had not been sent after my visit.
