Reviewed several Solar companies before choosing Kimble, we didn't want a Corporate company using subcontractors on our roof. From start to finish the service provded by Kimble was excellent as are their traceable products. A few months in we're very pleased with what we chose, if you're looking to have Solar installed you'll not easily find a better company than Kimble Solar.

Just had 5KW of solar installed and these guys are 10/10. Very professional, friendly, easy to get hold of and use technology to the benefit of the customer making the whole experience really outstanding. I really can’t fault anything part of the process.

After doing my research (4 companies quoted for the work), I opted for Kimble Solar to install me a PV and battery system. They have demonstrated a caring and professional approach, with the personal touch that comes from being family run. Everyone I have dealt with has been fantastic, courteous and polite, answering calls and emails promptly.

At the initial meeting, John was really switched on, giving great advice - without knocking other companies approaches (he offered friendly advice that left me to make informed decisions).

Bec has kept me informed every step of the way, always getting back to me promptly.

The installers Matt and Craig were a pleasure to deal with. They arrived on time, consulted with me throughout the day and left the place clean and tidy on departure. I could not be happier with the work they have provided.

I can honestly say that Kimble Solar have been amazing. A first rate company that I would have no issue recommending to friends and family. One of the very best companies I have had complete works at my property.

Wow, I had enquired with another local business who was too busy to take on my sales enquiry, but passed me to Kimble Solar as a recommendation. From the moment Rebecca made the initial call to me, I knew these were the team to go with. Local, Honest, Upfront and a genuine friendly company. Chris came and met with me, and having installed a smaller array of solar panels myself with DNO approval, I knew the process, and trade pricing, and was able to chat technical, along with some recommendations on my self install thrown in for free. There was no hard sell or pressure to sign on the day, and having had multiple quotes from other providers who are bigger, it was around the same costs, just without their own staff and using contractors to install. I decided to go with Kimble Solar who installed battery storage along with a 4.5kw array and I am pleased with the outcome. All the staff i have had interactions with have been attentive, friendly and focused on delivering what was agreed.Jason and Conor worked in horrible weather but got the job done in one day. I will be recommending them to friends and family going forward.

I’ve waited a few months to write this review. The installation work by the Kimble team was excellent quality, great team who obviously took pride in the finished job. Unbelievable how they managed to install all 27 panels in a day and have everything finished by lunchtime the next day. We are in an exposed location but no issues with the November storms. Great follow up support and service. I highly recommend Kimble.

Planning to install solar panels and batteries can be a bit daunting as there are so many companies out there, you have to do your homework. We eventually chose Kimble and the the experiance from start to finish was exceptional. From the initial phone call with Ellie and design consultation with Lewis, installation was flawless. The installation team of Conor, Jason and Bryn were exceptional. The project took 2 days to complete (12 x Panels, inverter and 2 x 5Kw batteries) with scaffolding erected a couple of days in advance. The installers arrived at 08:00 both mornings and worked through until around 17:00, only stopping for a quick midday break. They were polite (no noisy radios, shouting or swearing) and respected my property. I have a thing about untidy wiring and Conor (who is a qualified electrician) ensured that there were no unsightly cables inside or outside. On completion Benji came to the house to explain how the system worked and walk through the App. Scaffolding was removed a couple of days after completion. It is early days with my system so have not yet reached the benefits, but I am confident in doing so. I should add also that Kimble took care of all the paperwork and permissions required (from the UK Power Networks) prior to starting the install. In summary, A very good company (located in High Wycombe but covered where I live in Leighton Buzzard) with a team of decent people, highly recommended.

Before I talk about Kimble, I want to highlight that we spoke to over a dozen different companies and consultants representing them over a few weeks. We narrowed it down to 2 companies to do our work, who stood leagues above most other Solar installers, one of which was Kimble.

We really liked their approach to our installation. We were looking to understand the installation, and felt them to be expert consultants rather than just sales people. I really felt they went above and beyond to help us meet our energy saving goals, and the ongoing support received since has been the highest quality.

Super impressed with Kimble Solar. Having already had solar panels I knew the pros & cons of solar. Looked into various that could give me a full solar & battery system. Kimble were by far the most professional, friendly & not in the least pushy. They offered me a couple of different solutions which were both reasonable. The installation was also very professional, despite it not being a straightforward job, as I have an existing system. This is probably down to the whole project being done in house by Kimble, rather than contracted off to others as some companies do.
Post installation assistance is excellent, all my questions have been answered immediately.

Excellent service, highly recommended! Really impressed with everyone I have interacted with from Kimble - everyone has been very professional, helpful and responsive. Installation team did a great job and the after sales review with Benji is really useful to answer any outstanding questions and ensure system is optimised. We are delighted with our solar panels and battery system.

Kimble Solar came up as an advert on social media and, given they were local, I gave them a call. Genuinely it is rare these days to find a company offering such a proficient and competent service. I cannot fault them. From the initial 'sales meeting' (which was entirely painless and not sales-ey at all) through to each individual that attended site for the install, the whole company was very professional. The amount of companies/individuals I'd recommend can be counted on one hand, but I would not hesitate to recommend Kimble.

I approached Kimble Solar in mid-2023 with an unusual requirement for in-roof PV panels that involved replacing part of our existing roof with new tiles, felt and battens. I also wanted a large battery that would still provide power in the event of a power cut and would integrate with our recently installed heat pump. Because of the amount of roofing work required, Kimble recommended and worked with specialist roofer HSOC roofing.

The installation took place in January 2024 in bitterly cold conditions. The installers always arrived on time, were polite and friendly, kept me informed and carried out the work to the highest standards. The panels look great and the installation using the latest technology is very neat.

Not only are we generating substantial solar power, but thanks to the battery we have also been able to move to a very competitive tariff with Octopus Energy; the battery automatically provides energy at peak times (4pm to 7pm) when the grid electricity price is high, and charges when solar power is being generated and from the grid if needed when the grid electricity price is low. We are selling our surplus power back to the grid and after seven months of operation we appear to have made even greater savings than predicted.

We are very pleased with our system and can strongly recommend Kimble Solar.

Kimble Solar came to my rescue after the company I had first hired went bust. They know their stuff and although they might not be the cheapest they are certainly worth the premium. Their deposit insurance covers 25% for 120 days which is better than the 90 days offered elsewhere. They only ask for 25% deposit initially and will only ask for more a few weeks before install. There was an embarrassing pause between deposit and Technical Survey - never got an explanation as to why. Looks like I just got forgotten. But after than it was plain sailing. They turned up on the installation day early. The lads were courteous, polite and efficient. 90% of the job was completed that Friday with one of their electricians visiting on the next day to finish a small part of the project. I was very satisfied with how it went. They showed me how everything worked. Their comms are excellent and happily answered all my questions. Highly recommended.

Great customer service

Kimble solar were recommend to me , and in February 2024 I contacted the company. I received outstanding service from first contact through to installation and after care. No stress at any point. My system includes a battery and the export credit amounts suggested on the 24 Feb 2024 proposal are being achieved in real life. Installation team were fantastic, arriving early every day and working until 6pm. 3 day install for a large 8.8kw panel system and 10 kWh battery.As an example of the install, a laser level was used to run the cables in my garage !!! Since the install in March 2024 we have had no issues, with the system operating exactly as per the proposal.I have already recommended Kimble Solar to colleagues and friends. Easy 5 stars. Sean F

We had an excellent experience working with everyone at Kimble. Time was spent with us talking through the right set up for our house looking at our previous electricity usage. The installation was fast and efficient with two hardworking technicians. All the staff have been friendly when we have called with any questions and it was really nice to have a follow up phone call a month later to see how we were getting on. I would highly recommend this team. We always try to use local companies and this led to a personal contact with the Kimble team.

We decided to explore solar energy in the New Year, and contacted a couple of providers, locally recommended. One gave us a quote over the phone, based on a google map survey of the orientation of our house.

Kimble Solar came to our house to carry out a full survey, including drone, then sat down with us to give us a full explanantion of the system, options for optimisation, and managing our expectations on timescale etc.
Our surveyor (actually Chris, the MD) gave us a good understanding of our options, and patiently costed out various permutations. He also gave us a clear expectation on process and timescales.

Our system was installed in mid-February, and so far has generated more energy than we were led to expect, despite the changeabe weather.

We did have a problem with the telemetry from the battery, and this was immediately remediated, as part of their after-sales service.

The whole team - from admin through accounts through installation through after care - have displayed a total customer focus, led by Chris himself.

From the very first contact with the office, initial home visit, organisation of installation, the installation and after care. The all team have been brilliant, and we have been very pleased with choice and move to solar. Would definitely recommend.

I have been continuously impressed with the professionalism and the outstanding quality of service provided by KimbleTech. From the day we approached the admin team to express our interest in the installation of a solar photovoltaic array, through the sales process, design and installation, every single member of their team has presented him or herself as highly professional, extremely competent and with a clear passion for excellent customer service.
From day one, the team kept us regularly informed of the stage of the process we were in and what to expect next. They provided us with a crib sheet describing the different steps of the process, and with accurate dates when we should expect things to happen. We were very pleased to see how they planned the entire installation process to minimize the disruption for the family, with the complete system installed within one day and with the scaffolding "arriving and leaving all within the same week"!
There are probably thousands of businesses out there in the solar installation market, but in our view the thing that makes KimbleTech stand out from the pack is that they "listen with empathy". They truly care about what their customers have to say and they are able to advise competently and professionally, but also to adapt where necessary. Throughout the entire process we felt we could talk to the team and we could discuss alternatives, sometimes we would follow their expert advise with regards to the optimal installation to cover our energy needs whilst maximizing the return of investment, and sometimes their team would accept our preferences with regards to where the cabling, inverter, batteries, etc should be located in order to protect the aesthetics of the property,
Perhaps the main reason why it took us so long to make the decision to get our solar panels installed was that we were concerned about how this would ultimately impact the aesthetics of the house. Fast forward in time, I can honestly say that there are many solar PV installations in our town but, hand on heart, none as neat and nicely designed as ours.
