Be aware of the extra milage charge

I am extremely disappointed with the way this company handled our booking. At no point were we informed that there would be an additional charge for extra mileage. We made the booking in an emergency situation and signed the contract without realizing this hidden condition.

After reviewing the contract later, we discovered that it mentions an extra mileage charge but does not specify the rate per kilometre. This lack of transparency is completely unacceptable and feels misleading. Customers should be clearly informed of all charges before signing any agreement.

This practice appears deceptive and unfair, and I strongly believe it should be investigated.

Be careful

Be careful, this is an agency of scammers, don't be fooled by the attractive prices they offer. your deposit will take months to be returned. fictitious damages will be deducted from your deposit. no possibility of claiming. they are thieves. to avoid without, have no doubt. I swear to you

Never use Kim Rent a Car in Antalya Turkey

We booked through Booking.com and Rental Cars.com and from the very start Kim Rent a Car were unhelpful, slow, aggressive and tried and succeeded in extracting more money out of us.
Our flight from Bristol on 3rd July 2024 was delayed and we arrived at 21.15. Kim Rent were not there to meet us and took about 30mins to arrive and drove us to their offices. Bear in mind that we had a 3hr onward drive, they firstly told us that they had given our booked car away because we were late and replaced it with a more luxurious car for which we would have to pay another €350. I refused and after a while they relented. The paperwork took over an hour to complete and then the insurance scam came out. I had already taken out insurance through Zurich which wasn't accepted and I then had to spend another €250 to cover our 10 day car hire and a deposit of €100. Close to midnight we got away in a car which had an empty tank. We returned the car on 13th July at 7.30am with a tank half full which we were told by the employee who gave us the car would be refunded. That did not happen. Our requested arrival time took some negotiation because they were reluctant to open the office before 8am. They then tried to charge me €20 to wash and clean the car which I refused to pay and told them that they could take it out of the value of the petrol I had left them. They refused and I ended up paying €10. A very disgruntled and unhappy family were then taken in silence to the airport. Having originally paid £370.54 for 10 days car hire the exercise ended up costing us £672.94. I will now be pressing for them to be de-listed from Booking.com and Rental Cars.com and if I can report them to any Turkish authority I will. They are to be avoided like the plague and I am sorry that I didn't read the reviews before I booked. I will be very surprised if I see my €100 deposit returned.

COMPLETE SCAMMERS

We rented a car in April 4 and was told to pay €900 on our credit card which will be refunded after 45 days. Take note that this is an actual charge and not a hold. I was already suspicious of this transaction but chose to have good faith. 45 days later, no refund. We followed up and they said they have now deposited it. Two weeks later still no refund. We contacted them again and they repeatedly keep saying to contact our bank or check our bank statements which we already did several times. They sent a PDF file of a picture of a receipt and a sentence telling their bank to refund us and their signature--but this doesn't prove anything. They insist they have already done their part and nothing they can do. I informed them that I am not the only one waiting for deposit based on the Trustpilot reviews. Then they say that the bad comments are being prosecuted by their lawyers which doesn't make sense since we are the victims here. Now they are threatening to sue me and to talk to their lawyers. I have done nothing wrong and all we want is our promised refunded security deposit. This business should be closed down immediately.

DO NOT USE

Booked online through booking dot com. Paid in advance for unlimited mileage, took my own insurance. On arrival immediately tried to upsell insurance for €100,I declined, tried to put a 750km limit on the contract, I showed them my online agreement. Requested a credit card garuntee against damage and took €750 off the card which six weeks later they have failed to return and I’ve just started fraud proceedings. In short they are a dishonourable business who attempt to rip-off their customers at every turn. DO NOT USE

I took a car for rent for 7 days on…

I took a car for rent for 7 days on 27.03.24 with full insurance, when i arrived they stated I need either pay for their own insurance 65 euro or put a deposit 500 euro, i put deposit. When i returned the car, they said deposit will be returned 03.06. I still didn1t receive deposit. I will be going to police with this matter

Unfortunately I can't recommend them

Insurance: We booked the car online, with an insurance package already included. They insisted to add as well their own insurance (120 euros for 6 days), which we ended up accepting because of their threatening manner, they said they will check the car for minor scretches and charge everything they'll find.

Deposit: they don't put the amount on hold, but charge it and it takes them 45 working days to return the deposit (900 euros). This has never happened before to me. Just consider change of conversion rates in 2 months.. As we accepted the additional insurance, they offered a 150 euros cash deposit which was returned after the return.

Fuel: Not full/full like I'm used to, but in the contract it says you return it with the same amount you rented it with. The car was delivered with an almost empty tank, it requires more forethought from the client's side, and the rental company has the advantage to get cars return with half full tanks etc.

In view of the above, I unfortunately cannot recommend Kim Rent in Antalya.

Do not use if you dont want to lose money

Do not use if you don't want to lose your money!

We did a rental last Jan 17th and they took a deposit of 30,000 TL from my card. The contract says 45 working days before you get your deposit back. Instead of putting the amount on hold, they charge you for it and then refund you the amount back. Because of this, they took £800 for the deposit and inly refunded £741. Conversion rates would be very different after almost 60 days as they returned the money April 2. I was being patient even if it took more than 45 working days when they gave me the money because it was really cheap and the staff are nice but now I am furious that I lost £60 over what they did with my deposit. The car rental was only £50 and I lost more than the 4 days rental because of this. Also I booked from discovery cars which says when i booked was free additional driver and 1,200 mileage. When we picked up the car, they said it was not so i had to pay extra €20 for the additional driver and that my mileage was only 800 miles. Yes it looks too good to be true because you would eventually lose a lot more money than the rental. Never ever use this provider, take it from me, lesson learned.

Be aware of hidden fees

I rented a car for 6 days, the price seemed fine.

The car was quite battered when I took it over, not quite clean and instead of water for the windscreen was plain water, however considering the price I was ok with this.

Unfortunately upon return I was told that I had driven 200km more than the maximum mileage (which is very low and only in small print in the contract).

Exceeding the mileage by 200 km meant that I had to pay a penalty of three times the original price for 6 days of car hire !!!

So instead of the 6 day overage, the rental cost me the amount I would have had the car for at another rental company for 24 days !!!

The additional car cleaning fee you have to pay on return, which I have not encountered elsewhere, is almost a joke in relation to the fines.

I also find it substandard that I will be waiting 45 working days - that is two months - for the return of the €900 deposit, according to the rental company's info !

So, despite the other reviews, in view of the above, I unfortunately cannot recommend Kim Rent in Antalya.

Professional scammers

Professional scammers

I booked a car online and told them (Name der Firma einfügen) my flight number and arrival time over the phone. However, after I landed, at the airport there was no one to greet me and to pick me up. Only after several calls and after waiting for a long time (ungefähre Zeitangabe einfügen) an employee appeared and picked me up.

When the employee and me arrived at their car rental company, the employee unexpectedly told me that I should rent a more expensive car. I rejected.

Thereafter I was told by the emoloyee that in order to get a car I would have to pay a much higher price than the price I booked online.

Of course I refused. Subsequently I asked the employee to drive me back to the airport, but he did'nt want to drive me back. He just explained that he couldn't do that and then drove me to the edge of town. There he threw me out of the car without giving me any information about whether and where there is a bus or a taxi stop nearby to be able to continue my journey.

Although the commenter made a reservation for 11:00 during the day, he arrived at 21:30 at night. In Global Car Rental Companies, the vehicle can be hold for the person who made the reservation for 1 hour from the reservation time. It can then be offered to other customers.

The commenter entered the wrong phone number and flight code when making the reservation (proven to himself and his relative). For this reason, we could not contact him.

Although his reservation was automatically canceled, he was offered another car to avoid any inconvenience, but since the price could not be agreed upon, the customer was left at the tram stop.

No fee was charged from him.
